Bakugo Katsuki X Reader

The other night as I was just laying in bed and I came up with this idea.

Btw, the name for Uraraka's and Midoriya's son is going to be Sumiko Midoriya (The first name means child of pure thinking). If you know Japanese and this is actually not it, don't come for me, I did a small research (keyword: small) and I would like to think I was right, thx. (ofc if I am not right, tell me, I am just joking.)

Also, if you are not a fan of the ship IzuOcha (Izuku X Ochako), then don't read or don't hate on people who like/love it. I'm a multi shipper myself, so I am not saying this so that someone doesn't hurt me or my beliefs, but to not do so to other people. Please be respectful of one another, this fandom is toxic enough without more people who hate other people's ships. Thank you!

(Y/n) was making her way to her best friend's house as she was supposed to babysit for her and her husband. Ochako and Izuku finally had the chance to go on a well-deserved vacation, just the two of them, for a whole week. It was not easy being successful heroes and kicking ass every day. Actually, that was the best part. The worst part? Paperwork...

(Y/n) herself wasn't a well-known hero, hence her having a little more days off than them. She was actually a sidekick of the snake hero: Uwabami.

Before she knew it, the girl had reached her destination. Just as she was about to ring the doorbell though, she heard a lot of yelling coming from the inside. She thought this was weird, as Ochako and Izuku rarely fought. Plus, this didn't sound like them. Well, yeah, their voices could be heard, but they were quiet, and she sure as hell didn't think this was their usually quiet and sweet 7-year-old son.

After a bit of questioning in her head, she decided that maybe ringing the bell would be a great idea if she wanted answers. As she pressed her finger on the small button that had the name 'Midoriya' written next to it, she quickly heard someone shushing the noise and then quick steps following after. When the door was opened she saw none other than her one and only best friend - Uraraka Ochako.

She hasn't changed much since her school days. Only differences were her hair, which had gotten a bit longer over the years and some slight scarring due to her job. But that only made her look more badass, that was for sure. She hadn't even gained weight since she gave birth! She was a real trooper.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Oh my gosh, it's been so long!" The small brunette said, going in for a tight hug. Those arms were for sure more strong than they seemed.

"Well, it hasn't been that long now, has it?" (Y/n) voiced, making sure to return the hug just as firmly.

"Yeah, but we don't talk as much as we used to due to our jobs." Ochako replyed with a little sadness in her tone.

"Yeah, but you also have a child to take care of, so don't worry. Plus we still text each other, like,  a lot."

"I suppose you're right." The woman nodded.

"Hey, (Y/n), long time no see!" Someone with a gruff, but sweet voice greeted her and when she turned to look at its source, it was none other than Izuku himself.

Now he was changed, alright? He was taller and had a more stable build than the Izuku from highschool. He, just like his wife, had scars, although his were bigger, both in size and numbers. But that didn't stop him from smiling. Nothing ever did. That was one of his best qualities.

"Izuku! Now you, I haven't seen in a while!" (Y/n) beamed, going in for the second hug of the day.

That hug though was even more crushing and the only thing she could do was pat him a few hard times on the shoulder for him to let go of her as he was kind of suffocating her.

"You've been training I see.." She breathed, coughing a little as she tried to regain her composure.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I sometimes forget that I can do that!" Izuku apologized and flailed around as he was trying to make sure that (Y/n) was okay.

"What? That you can suffocate people?"

"Believe it or not, it does not work on villains."

"Wow, those must be tough then."

As the three adults started making their way into the house, (Y/n) decided to ask what had been bugging her the moment she came close to their doorstep.

"Uhh, guys.." She started, scratching her neck. " I hate to ask, but what was all that yelling before I came in?"

The married couple just looked at each other awkwardly and then Ochako sighted, grabbing her friend's hand and guiding her to their living room.

"We knew that you would take great care of Sumiko, but you have done so for only a weekend. Not that we don't trust you for a week, but we decided that having someone else might be some help." She explained.

"Oh, well that does sound nice. But, what about the yelling?"

"That's the thing. The other person didn't know too and apparently he didn't like it."

(Y/n) was a bit confused. She appreciated them thinking for her and calling another person, but who could that be, that they threw such a fuss over her being there as well.

When they stepped into the living room though, everything became clear. There he was, Bakugo Katsuki, sitting on the couch and talking with Sumiko as if a few minutes ago he wasn't yelling. Not that they didn't like each other, but they never really talked - neither in school nor after that. It was understandable why he got fussy, as the awkwardness that might settle between them could make this a whole deal harder.

A sudden push broke (Y/n) from her train of thought. When she looked down she saw none other than Sumiko hugging her waist. He grew up since the last time she was here. His brown, messy hair was a bit longer as well, and his hold was also tighter. He had grown up. That brought a smile to her face as she recollected the times she had been babysitting him before and how small he was when she first had to do so.

"Auntie (Y/n)! I'm soo glad you're here! Uncle Bakugo seemed a little rude.." The boy whispered the last part but that still made said person whip his head in his direction and Sumiko to hide behind (Y/n). Ochako, Izuku, and her just looked at their short interaction and chuckled. This was going to be a long week.

(Y/n) crouched down a little, making sure to whisper into Sumiko's ear so this time Bakugo couldn't hear. "Don't worry. If the big bad man scares you, I'll take care of it, okay?" She asked, pulling away from him and inviting him for a fist bump. He accepted the invitation and laughed as he made his way back to the couch.

"Okay, you two. Don't you have a plane to catch for your trip?" (Y/n) asked mockingly, smiling a sly smile.

"A-ah, yeah! Of course." Izuku said, being the first one to snap out of it.

He went to the couch to say goodbye to his son, and his wife soon followed him. They both bid Bakugo a goodbye as well, to which he only nodded.

"And remember (Y/n)-"

"Sumiko is allergic to peanuts. Yeah, yeah I know. I know where the EpiPen is if he needs it. Now go! Enjoy your trip! You won't get that chance again. At least not soon."

"Yeah, yeah you're right" Ochako nodded, knowing that her son was in safe hands. "Well, we'll be going now." She waved goodbye as she picked up her bag, which Izuku tried to take from her, but she swatted his hand away.

"Bye, you guys! Have a fun trip!"

And just like that, (Y/n), Bakugo and Sumiko watched as the car left their view. When the three of them stepped inside, Sumiko grabbed the woman's hand and asked "So, what will we do now?"

"Well.." She tapped her chin as if in thought. "It is lunchtime. Do you guys have anything in the fridge?"

"Yeah, mom cooked beforehand."

"Aw, that's sweet of her."

After all of them were done with their food, Sumiko went out with some friends to play, and (Y/n) started washing dishes. As she was finishing up on that she felt a pair of eyes settled on her.

"What's on your mind, Katsuki?"

She heard him huff and then he grumbled "Don't call me that." after which, she felt his gaze leave her.

She turned towards him, as the kitchen and the living room weren't separated by a wall, and asked. "Then what should I call you, Mr. Grumpy Pants?"

"Repeat that name again and I'll blow your face off." He barked, but none of that reached her.

"You haven't changed much huh?" She smiled, nostalgia filling her.

And she was right. Aside from his physical appearance, mentally he has hardly grown-up. Yes, he was taller and more well-built then back in high school, with no scars that she could see, which to (Y/n) was strange, since she had seen him in action on TV and he sometimes got some pretty bad wounds.

"Well," She plopped down on the couch next to him. "How did you accept to babysit. I didn't take you for a person who likes spending time with children." The girl chuckled.

"That's the thing, I didn't."

"What do you mean?" (Y/n) rose a questioning brow.

"Deku called me the other day and as I was arguing with him all of a sudden Pink Cheeks was on the phone and she told me that I was doing this. Then she hung up."

"And you just decided to come and do it?"

"No. Today, as I was on my way home from my morning jog, I saw her car pull up in my house and she rolled down her window only to give me that smug smile of hers."

"Yeah, she can be quite the bossy one." (Y/n) said, leaning her head back until it hit the cushion of the couch. "Well, will we watch something or what?"

That was all Bakugo needed to hear for him to grab the remote and turn the TV on.

After a few hours, Sumiko came home. They all had dinner as the boy was explaining what he and his friends did, causing (Y/n) to laugh a few times and choke once. After they were done everybody went to bed, but not without a few complications.

"So, uhh, who is taking the bed?" (Y/n) questioned, pointing at the bed that usually Izuku and Ochako slept in. The house was small, with only two bedrooms, one of which was taken by Sumiko.

"I can take the couch." Bakugo suggested.

"No, no. I'll take the couch." (Y/n) dismissed him, thinking that he was going to keep suggesting that he sleeps on the couch, but...

"Well, if you say so." The guy said, plopping down in the bed, making himself home.

(Y/n) just stared, not believing her eyes. Yeah, he was an ass sometimes, but today went relatively well.

Still tho, she took a few blankets and made her way to the hall. At least the couch was nice and soft...

...

As morning came, (Y/n) awoke to the smell of something tasty. When she opened her eyes she saw Bakugo in the kitchen. She couldn't tell what he was making, but whatever it was it smelled delicious.

She stood up, yawning and stretching when she heard a gruff voice. "About time you woke up. Little Deku has to be up in a few. Good thing someone was awake to make some damn breakfast."

(Y/n) only chuckled to that, not yet having the energy to either speak or argue with him. Maybe both, but later. Now she needed to go and wake Sumiko up.

After she did that, they all sat down for breakfast, enjoying the meal that Bakugo prepared. And if (Y/n) needed to be honest, she was kind of surprised at how heavenly the food tasted.

When Sumiko went to school for the day, the two of them didn't have much to do as they were supposed to be watching over him. As Bakugo cleaned the dishes, (Y/n) dusted a little and then they both sat down on the couch, which the girl had fixed, and she started reading a book while Bakugo was switching channels so as to find something interesting.

...

After a few hours, Sumiko came home. When (Y/n) went to greet him, she noticed a little scratch on his cheek.

"Hey, Sumiko, what happened to your cheek?" The woman asked, worry laced in her tone as she touched the little wound with as little pressure as possible.

The small guy still winced at it, but quickly regained his composure. "It's fine, I just tripped and fell. No biggie." He smiled, even tho it stung him a little.

"Well then, we need to clean it. Just in case so it doesn't get infected, 'kay?" She smiled.

"M'kay."

After Sumiko's clean up the three of them decided to play superheroes, Sumiko and (Y/n) being the heroes and Bakugo being the villain ( as per Sumiko's request, at which Bakugo was very angry and (Y/n) laughed her ass of).

Then, they had dinner and everybody went to their assigned beds, meaning - (Y/n) was sleeping on the couch. Yay...

...

As the days passed, Sumiko came home every day with bigger scars. Some that needed more time to heal than the others. At one point (Y/n) wanted to call the principal and Bakugo was 100% agreeing with her, but the boy didn't want them to do that.

The two adults were fine with it, as long as he said he was going to fix it. Each and every time he had said that he tripped and fell, but they knew better than anyone that those scars weren't from tripping and falling down. Those scars could be explained with one word - bullies.

After four days had passed, in which Sumiko got quieter and quieter, Friday the bubble popped. The principal of the school called (Y/n) as she made sure to tell Ochako and Izuku to give her number to the principle so that they could have a peaceful vacation. He told her that Sumiko was admitted to the hospital because he somehow ate peanuts. The nurse, who quickly came to his aid, found his EpiPen in his bag, but she still wanted to send him there to make sure his vitals were okay.

When (Y/n) heard the news she was devastated. She told Bakugo as quickly as she could, even though it was kind of hard for him to understand at first because the woman in front of him was a mess, when he did get it, he told her to go to his car and that they'll go to see him.

The whole way there, (Y/n) was shaking and on the verge of crying. She blamed herself for what had happened, but Bakugo had enough of that so he confronted her.

"Look, there was no way of knowing that this could have happened."

"But we knew he was being bullied and we didn't do anything and-" She panicked, choking a little as she tried to hold back her tears.

"Yes, we knew. Meaning you are not the only one to blame. Now calm down woman, or the hospital will think that you are the one who needs her vitals checked." He claimed and even though she was on the verge of crying, she smiled. The joke he made certainly made her a little calmer.

...

When they went to the hospital and checked with a nurse, they found his room and went in. He was in the hospital bed, still a little swollen, but besides that he looked fine.

As soon as she saw him, (Y/n) breathed a sigh of relief. When Sumiko noticed them in the room, he looked down at his lap, and tears started to roll down his face.

"Hey, hey! Sumiko, what's wrong?" The woman asked, immediately going to hug him.

"I-I should have t-told you." He cried. "I j-just didn't think they'd d-do that.."

"Do what?" Bakugo chimed in, his voice angry.

After a little bit of the little boy calming down, he continued. "The guys who were bullying me. They p-put peanuts in my salad at lunch w-when I wasn't looking.." Sumiko finished, again looking down at his lap.

"What are those boy's names?" (Y/n) sternly asked.

Sumiko though kept quiet.

But (Y/n) wasn't having it so she grabbed his hand and asked him again, only this time, she sounded angrier. "What. Are. Their. Names..?"

...

"Excuse me but this is unacceptable! You can't let them off the hook after they almost killed him!" (Y/n) yelled, furious over what she was hearing.

"I'm sorry, but without the boys admitting it themselves, I can't do anything." The poor principal stated, his voice wavering as he had a furious woman in front of him and one of the top heroes of Japan staring him down like he could tear him to shreds any minute now.

"What do you mean "Can't do anything"? You're the fucking principal goddamit!" Bakugo yelled, fist banging on the desk in front of him, making the principal go even lower in his chair.

"Wait! Baguko-kun, we're going in circles. I have an idea." (Y/n) smirked, then turned to the principal and asked if her idea would be allowed. Seeing as he may die if he said no, he agreed.

...

"Okay class, open your books on page-"

The teacher was cut off by a loud knock on the door, making her sigh as she had just gotten the kids to settle down, due to what happened to their classmate.

"Come in." She said.

Everybody in the room was shocked to see one of Japan's top heroes - Bakugo Katsuki. Nobody knew why he was here, but they were going to learn pretty soon because right after him went (Y/n), still angry.

"Okay everyone" She chimed with the nicest voice she could muster. "I am sorry to disrupt your class miss, but we have a very important note."

"Oh, of course. Please take your time."

"Hello everyone, my name is (L/n) (F/n), and this guy beside me, who you already probably know is Bakugo Katsuki. As you know your classmate is in a hospital right now, due to him eating peanuts to which he is deathly allergic to." She disclosed, her voice sounding a little bit angry over the last few words. "Me and Mr. Bakugo are his babysitters because his parents are on a vacation. So when we went to the hospital, he told us that someone actually put peanuts in his salad while no one was looking." She started to drop the act getting angrier by the second. When he felt that her voice was raised a bit too high, Bakugo put a hand to her shoulder and nodded as if to tell her to take a break.

He stepped forward and started "He gave us the names of the kids who had been bullying him and we went to the principal. He called their parents and they are on their way. He asked for us to come and collect them."

After a few moments of silence, two chairs were heard screeching on the floor and the kids who stood up were shaking, probably because they were scared of what was about to come.

"Great, now follow us to the principal's office." Bakugo commanded, leaving the room and the two hooligans following close behind.

(Y/n) once again apologized with a big smile as if nothing just happened and left the room as well.

After going to the principal's office, the kids learned that none of their parents were called, but they were about to be as the two boys were about to be suspended for two weeks. (Y/n) was still not happy with just a suspension, but it was still better than nothing.

When that was solved, the two of them jumped in the car and went to take Sumiko out of the hospital and bring him home.

That night Izuku and Ochako called to check up on everyone and Sumiko explained what had happened, Bakugo and (Y/n) filling in the gaps where he wasn't present. The two parents were shocked, to say the least, but then they thanked the two babysitters, as they had done their job.

When they came back from their vacation, Izuku and Ochako had a lot to unpack, so they asked if (Y/n) and Bakugo could stay around for a little more, just in case. They had brought them presents and souvenirs as thanks for what they had done.

Just before Bakugo and (Y/n) left, the latter had a question.

"Why did you guys take me and Bakugo as babysitters. Don't you think that's an odd combo?"

"Oh, well yeah, but we remembered how you both had this like huugee crush on each other, so we decided to set you up! Bye now!" Ochako yelled, and slammed the door in their faces, leaving a pretty confused pare.

"Well, uhh, that was awkward.." (Y/n) chuckled.

"Mhm. Want me to give you a ride?"

"What?"

"I'm guessing you came here on foot? Want me to drive you?"

"Uhh, yeah. That'd be nice."

The whole ride both of them were quiet, thinking about the same thing. And thinking that maybe this crush didn't go away...

"Well, this is me.." (Y/n) said, looking out the window towards her apartment building while unbuckling her seatbelt.

"Do you want to go on a date?" Bakugo suddenly asked, leaving a stunned (Y/n).

She looked at him, not really believing her ears, but by the way he was looking at her, it was obvious he was waiting for an answer.

After coughing a few times to clear her throat she agreed, after which Bakugo proceeded to give her his number.

"I'll text you the details."

(Y/n) just nodded, getting out of the car and looking at him as he drove off. That crush was definitely not over.

Remember what I said about my last chapter being long? Yeah, no, this beat it. With over 3500 words, it crushed the last chapter into the ground.

Also, the story wasn't that romantic but, what can you do. I am still happy with how this came out so.
