treehouse - bnha one-shot?
:]
"Quite crying Deku! You damn baby!" Katsuki shouted, dragging along his friend.
They are both covered in small scrapes, blood seeping from the wounds.
"It hurts Kacchan!" The greenette said, rubbing the wounds gently.
"Well don't touch them! We have bandaids in the treehouse, so stop whining."
Katsuki walked with a brisk pace, the smallest of tears pricking the edges of his eyes. Meanwhile Izuku held no shame in allowing the tears to cascade down his freckled face.
The two finally came across a massive tree, while held a giant treehouse.
Glowing orange fairy lights shone from the inside, illuminating their faces as the sun set.
They claimed the ladder, Izuku falling behind slightly with the cut on his palm.
When he managed to get up, Katsuki was already sitting there, a giant box of bandaids next to him.
"Ah, let me help Kacchan!" The greenette called out, rushing over towards the bean bag the blonde was sitting on.
"I don't need your help shitty Deku!" He shouted in defense, but allowed his friend to help anyway. Izuku carefully placed each colorful bandaid on each cut, wiping away small trickles of blood when necessary.
"Hmph, now let me help you or whatever. . ." Katsuki angrily grumbled, and moved to help the greenette with his bandaids.
"I'm sorry about this Kacchan." The freckled boy said, a guilty look on his face as the blonde huffed.
"It's fine or whatever Deku. Those assholes can go to hell." Izuku giggled at that, struggling to keep still.
The two jumped up together and ran over to their art supplies, grabbing anything they could in their small hands.
"Let's make a sign so they stay away! I'll do the writing since I'm better at it! You can do the drawing." A smile made way to both their faces, revealing a lost tooth for each of them.
They gingerly placed the sign against the bottom of the wood, making sure it stayed upright.
A cartoonist version of both their faces were on each side, they had on angry faces with their little tooth gaps and a 'very threatening' message saying :
"STAY AWAY, OR WELL BEAT U UP >:("
"DO NOT ENTER"
The two high fived, and began heading back to their homes for lunch.
"See you tomorrow Kacchan!'
"Yeah! And don't forget to tell me first what your quirk is!"
---
Katsuki was never one for reminiscing.
Though when UA started, he found himself doing it more and more.
He reminisced of how shitty he treated the one friend he actually had, and how they used to get along so well. He thought about how just months before, Izuku was nothing but worthless, quirkless Deku.
But now he's so much more than either of them ever thought he could be.
He was a hero in training, with an awesome quirk, and a great future ahead.
He was everything.
Katsuki saw himself as everything, but he was nothing.
He was nothing but a spoiled little brat, who let praise and words get to his head.
With a grunt, he hoisted himself up from the bed, deciding to blatantly ignore the UA curfew in favor of trying to find the one thing he was sure was still there.
As the path became familiar, the blonde felt his throat squeezing up.
His eyes burned, tears threatening to fall as he saw the badly drawn carvings of their names in the trees.
And there it was.
It's orange fairy lights still hung up and shining brightly.
"What the hell?" Those lights should never have lasted this long, so he cautiously climbed up, and was met with the face that would make him break down.
Freckled face staring wide eyed, green eyes shimmering in an ocean of colors, curly hair styles messily and completely out of control.
"Kacchan?"
"Deku? The hell are you doing here?" He pulled himself up the ladder completely, staring at the worn and faded sign.
"DO NOT ENTER"
He cringed at his voice crack, hoping that the freckled boy never heard it.
"I. . .um-I. . . I come h-here and ju-just kind of talk. It's nice and calm, and there's n-no one to tell at me when I rant." He fiddled with his fingers, tracing scars along his hands before twirling a piece of hair between his fingers.
Katsuki couldn't help it.
He was weaker than he wanted to admit.
So emotionally fucked up.
He was never taught to treat his emotions properly, and now he's paying the price.
Tears cascaded down his face as he embraced the shocked boy in a hug.
A hug so tight he was sure he heard a pop in Izuku's back.
"God I'm so fucking sorry Izuku. . ." He buried his face in the crook of Izuku's neck, tears staining the boys shirt.
He felt gentle freckled hands caress his head, threading through his tousled blonde hair.
"Shhh. . .it okay Kacchan. I never blamed you, so don't worry. Everything's fine. . ."
"But it's not!" He grabbed Izuku by his shoulders, ruby red staring into greens.
"I told you to kill yourself for fucks sake! I'm a piece of shit human being, who couldn't get over my God damn ego enough to treat you fucking right!"
". . ."
". . ."
"You're exactly right Kacchan. You are a human being. Just that. You make mistakes, you fail, and you do dumb things, but you learn. Kacchan, look at yourself. You are everything. No, it wasn't okay what you said, but you learn.
"I can't say it's okay to excuse the things you did, but. . .
"I forgive you, Kacchan."
Tears fell from both their eyes, burning their faces with the salty warmth.
Katsuki sobbed as he buried his face into Izuku's chest, the greenette threading his digits through his hair.
He didn't know when, but they eventually moved to a corner of the tree house.
Izuku hummed and shushed him gently.
The blonde had his body between Izuku's legs, his head into his stomach and he felt the boy gently tap a beat against his back.
"You never changed that little tick of yours, did you Deku?"
"I guess not. Remember the treehouse password?"
He began to tap the familiar pattern against his back.
"That's one thing I could never forget."
alrighty then. see it however you want, friendship, actual ship, i don't care :]
