Chapter 51: Muni's move
A/N: WARNING! Slight gruesome moments, blood and ripped flesh ahead O:!
~~~~~~~~~~~
Stunned at the sight, her mouth agape, her blue hues wide, Uviel couldn't believe her eyes and Shinya was rather confused despite his risen guard. "Sweetie, what's wrong?" The woman's smile appeared as lifeless as her body, a couple of steps toward the girl was enough to make her back up and shake her head.
"You guys died... You're dead. You're dead, I saw the ambulance! I saw your bodies covered with a sheet! I was told you died, too!" Denial, disbelief, she was too much in shock to really see the bigger picture. The fact that they were dead but talking to her, right then and there.
"Uviel!" Quickly her soon-to-be father raced to her from the side and pushed her behind him protectively. "Who are they?" Those strict gray eyes bore into two other pairs, making sure that they didn't come any closer. Concerned and cautious, he was, for all he knew they could be enemies set out to attack the cybergirl.
"Mom... Dad-- They died, so how... Are they right here?" Uviel's quiet whispers reached the pro ninja's ears, which in turn, astonished him to no end.
They're her parents? They look dead... Undead, if anything-- the way Mr. Aizawa described that other woman, it's precisely how these two look. Maybe that woman there, is who he saw and was hit by her. Although... I don't see a Gatling gun in her hands. Contemplating, his thoughts echoed for a moment until he heard some familiar voices call out to them from behind.
"Uviel!" Haru's voice, full of anger, boomed from her distance and soon was followed by the cries of her classmates. She could feel it. The unease, the confusion, denial, heart rate in Saito's body, and the words she picked up on her way there within that radius. It all infuriated her, however, the others didn't pick up on any of that.
Over her shoulder UV-Ray's disbelieving eyes glanced to see the approaching, sprinting students behind her best friend; everyone wore their hero costumes, it seemed. Kirishima was also running next to the brunette, pure worry evident on his face, and the moment he saw tears cascade down the girl's eyes...
"Who's making you cry?!" With as much strength he could muster, his legs pushed farther than the others and raced past them all with anger now pushing the concern to the side. As soon as he reached her backside, his strong hands whirled her around to see those exasperated hues, nothing but hurt and shock. Very slowly they peeked up at him and the words she asked only made his blood boil more.
"They're dead... They're supposed to be dead. They're dead, right?" Her cracked, weak voice, and the tears that trickled down her cheeks made a shadow veil over his own red eyes.
Dangerous, and furious, the darker redhead saw who she was talking about when Shinya turned just slightly to see him. "Her parents, Kirishima. They're... Undead. Someone brought them back somehow, take her somewhere far away, and keep her safe!" As he spoke with urgency, he hadn't noticed the undead father pick up a car nearby and chuck it in his direction.
"I won't let you hurt her!" With a swift movement of Eijiro's arms, Uviel was pushed behind him and he used his quirk to catch the incoming car with a heavy clunk. "Edgeshot, let me handle these two!" Through gritted teeth, he demanded, before tossing the vehicle aside and glancing behind him at the two.
"No-- I won't let a student get involved. I need you and everyone else to protect her, take her somewhere safe, now. I won't take too long," Calmer this time, he hoped the boy would understand and put his hands together to prepare his quirk. "Yukimura, Kage, everyone else, take care of her, and don't let her try to get involved either! She needs all of you more than anything right now," From his peripherals, he saw Momo, Ochaco, Bakugou, Midoriya, Iida, Asui, everyone, all nod and rush over to the cybergirl.
"Something's wrong, why would anyone bring out her dead parents? I didn't even know they were dead," Asui, with her finger to her chin, questioned when Kirishima picked UV-Ray up into his arms and ran closer to the group. They all knew, by Haru's judgment, that they needed to put their hero suits on earlier. Yukimura was even dressed in her costume, she didn't care at all if others saw her as a villain or not in that outfit; all she cared about was helping Uviel.
"What do you think?" Iida spoke up as the rest of the students ran away from the pro ninja and Uviel's dead parents.
"It's a distraction, something's happening somewhere else and I think I know where!" This time it was Midoriya's turn to talk, with urgency, he raced back to the hospital and ran past the ninja toward the double doors.
"Wait, Izuku!" With haste, Ochaco followed after the boy in green attire and left the others to the cybergirl. "We'll catch up to you guys soon, I need to go with him!" Her waving hand reassured the others and with a touch to her feet, she activated her quirk and hovered after the boy.
Haru sprinted right next to Eijiro with Kage hovering to the side. Seething over whoever culprit there was, to be as heartless as to send her dead parents after her to kill her. The car the man threw directly at Uviel, the utter shock she was going through, was enough to spike the dark and sinister whispers. Kill them.~ They're already dead, just kill them again! It won't hurt her any.~ it quietly spoke, however, the snake-girl ignored it the best she could and focused on her best friend's safety. "Hey-- let's head to Mr. Aizawa! He'll know where we should go with UV-Ray!" Her words only seemed to have sparked the anger in the dirty blonde nearby, when he raged out with his sharp, comical teeth.
"What the hell makes you boss?!" The grenades on his forearms were pointed threateningly at the snake girl, only to receive an outburst from her in return.
"Since I'm her best friend! I get a say-so in what we do, too! I know her better than any of you, so we should find Mr. Aizawa and ask!" They were rather surprised by the brunette's outburst, it was a little rare to see her so angry despite earlier when they saw the scary look she had in class.
"I didn't know her parents were dead. Whoever did that was, indeed-- heartless," Todoroki cut in to change the subject and it stopped their short bicker, for even Bakugou's eyes downcast with sympathy. With a glance over his shoulder, his red eyes saw the same expression from earlier on the cybergirl, those disbelieving, hurting, and tearful hues full of shock. He could barely hear the mumbled questions about her undead parents, which triggered his rage that much more.
"Fuck- whatever, let's just hurry up!" Through gritted teeth and a twitching eye, Bakugou shouted. Thus, they all raced down the road far from them and did their best to keep their guard up.
~~~Aizawa~~~
Across the rooftops he could see the hospital in the far distance, however, a particular group of students caught his attention and spotted the cybergirl he was concerned about.
Down the building, easily landing before them, the students halted in their step and gasped. "Mr. Aizawa! You're here!" Denki couldn't help but shout, he wasn't expecting their Teacher to jump in front of them all of a sudden.
"Mr. Aizawa, she's in shock! Edgeshot told us to take her somewhere safe and protect her, while he handles her undead parents. Where can we go?!" Har-Har exclaimed, for she couldn't think of a proper place and it only angered her more.
"Undead...?" Astonished, Shota's dark eyes lit up at the mention of her dead parents, and quickly pulled down his goggles, before he continued. "Principal Nezu will show up soon, come with me-" As soon as he was about to run back to the school, something reached all of their ears.
Metallic scrapping, low heels clacking, far to their side was the very same woman who smacked Aizawa with the Gatling Gun. The very weapon's nose was being dragged across the pavement and her main focus was the students, her dead eyes were pinned on the Snake girl next to Kiri.
"Hey-- you're the one who hit me with that gun," Shota spoke up and picked up his pace when he walked closer to the kids. However, he was completely ignored, for she passed him up and stepped around the darker redhead so she could stand next to the brunette; her backside to the group and her gaze on the distant hospital.
"They will never accept you... A villain's daughter will always follow in their parent's footsteps-- you'll see," Quietly spoken, her knitted brows expressed the anger she tried to hide and continued her way to the building. Her words seemed to have taken effect, Haru's head whipped around to the dead woman with lips that tried to open and speak.
"Mr. Aizawa! What are we going to do? Uviel's dead parents are just a distraction, the hospital is going to be attacked no doubt. Midoriya and Ochacho already ran to check on Hatsume," Todoroki spoke up, unintentionally catching the ears of Miss Muni and making her halt upon his words.
"I'll head there, then. Get as close to the school as you can, Principal Nezu should be close by and will see you," With that, he watched them all sprint towards the school with a glimpse of the cybergirl's exasperated expression. After seeing that they were headed in the right direction, he turned back around just to see the pig-tailed woman running toward the hospital.
With haste, he ran after her and shot his scarf out to grab her Gatling Gun. It stopped her, yes, however, the annoyed grumble from the dead woman was enough to say she was irritated.
"Not so fast, you still have to explain yourself. Why did you hit me when I saw you before? I've been looking for you for a while," His one hand held tightly onto the scarf, he didn't want to be hit by that thing again and made sure of it.
"Get out of my way," her voice was full of venom and suppressed rage, he was almost able to feel it himself. With a twist of her heels, skillful and graceful, the Gatling Gun swung. She had taken advantage of his scarf that wrapped around it and made him spin around with her, surprising him. Strongly he was slammed into the closest building, causing rubble and dirt to fly from the impact.
A grunt, the pain rode up his back just slightly but regardless, the Teacher stood up and ran out of the cloud of dust. He half expected her to run away but she stood there staring at a specific spot on him with such an intense gaze, that it unnerved him a little.
Just when she removed her glasses to reveal those black, dead eyes, a Citizen ran out of the building he crashed into, screaming, and took a glance at the dead woman. It was as though time had slowed down, those fearful eyes bore into her black ones and immediately she halted. "Huh?" Blinking behind his goggles, he couldn't help but watch the Citizen begin to freak out and rub her eyes.
"M- My eyes! I can't see! I can't see! Heeeelp, I can't see!" Tears streamed down her cheeks as she shook her head and walked around aimlessly. Scratching at her eyes and screaming until she bumped into the crumbled wall. "What is this?! Blood! So much blood! What is all of this?! Someone heeelp meee!" The Citizen's eyes were hazed over much like Haru's. Blinded, all she could see at that moment was nothing but blood and death. Horrors that many would see in a nightmare, which made her nearly become insane and start banging her head on the wall. "Get it out, get it out! Please!" Hot, heavy tears soaked her face as did the blood from her forehead, and soon enough, the woman fell backward.
Quickly Aizawa ran to catch her in his arms and was dumbstruck by the sight... She was dead, blood and tears covered her face, and he noticed that the crimson leaked from an open gash on her head. He couldn't understand what happened, but all he knew for certain was that he needed to activate his quirk before the same thing happened to him.

(It's one of her character themes! :D)
As soon as he stood up, he faced her with his red eyes piercing through those goggles and glared daggers at her black ones. "You killed her... I understand that it was a coincidence that she came running out, but you tried to use your quirk on me and she ran in your way. I'm afraid I can't let you slip from my fingers again," From there he finally took notice of where her eyes were looking. Blood trickled down the side of his face from the impact he endured moments ago and it piqued his curiosity. Why is she staring at my wound so hard? His thoughts echoed, nonetheless, he bolted after her and leaped into the air.
With ease she moved her head, dodging the leg and lifting her Gun to try and smack him down. However, he spun in mid-air to avoid it and kicked it away from her hand. Blood... I need it. Drool trickled down her lips after she pondered on his wound. Evading, dodging his kicks and a left hook he attempted.
Her thoughts were so focused on the blood, that he managed to hit her square in the jaw, crunching and tearing a little bit of her skin in the process. He froze there, too shocked at seeing how unaffected she was by the pain since bone stuck out from her cheek. "I'm hungry," Mumbled, dangerous, deadly, her voice was and quickly her hand reached out to his shirt.
This time, her pure rage made her body move and without a warning, she picked him up. Slam, bang, Aizawa was being smashed against the pavement relentlessly with his grunts of pain and blood flying. However, he managed to use his scarf to snatch her arm and toss her aside harshly against a nearby dumpster.
From the dirt that flew, as it masked her presence, Shota stood panting and wiping the blood from his head. What made a fight or flight response kick in, was when he saw the dust clear and the Gatling Gun's nose speeding up.
Quickly, a gasp escaped him, he maneuvered to the side as soon as bullets flew from her gun and evaded them as fast as he could. When there wasn't enough room to run anymore, he jumped into the air and used his scarf to reach for her gun. The bullets put holes in almost everything around her, even an explosion from a nearby vehicle went off behind him.
This time, it was her turn to leap. Through a furious low growl in her throat, she jumped into the air, spun around, and avoided her gun being snatched. Which seemed to have played into her favor, because not only did she avoid his scarf but the nose of the Gatling Gun smacked him in the head and made him soar. Blood, I need it! Her monologue, full of anger, echoed after she landed.
As soon as Muni raced over to the fresh corpse nearby, she kneeled on all fours and ripped a chunk from the back of the woman's neck. It was at that time when the scarf from moments ago, wrapped around her leg and yanked her high into the air.
Down she crashed, hard into the road, and spat out fragments of the flesh in her mouth into a faint pile of blood. "Y- You..." Aizawa came over with a slight limp and saw Muni lying on her stomach, gradually standing up with no exhaustion in her movements. "What are you-" Before he could mutter another word, he saw her tattered face slowly recover. The smashed nose rejuvenated back to normal, some spots in her skin that were rotted had done the same, and even the part on her jaw that revealed the small bits of bone had healed somehow.
He watched her chew the bits of flesh from the corpse he saw her rip off and it nearly made his skin crawl. Dumbstruck, mouth agape, he couldn't believe what he was seeing... "You're... A zombie. Edgeshot's little joke ended up being true," he quietly spoke to himself and observed the woman straightening herself out, popping her jaw back in place.
Crimson covered her mouth and down her shirt, there he saw satisfaction in her black eyes before she turned around. The Gatling Gun was soon plopped onto her back before she walked towards the hospital and left the Teacher there, in a bloodied mess. "Wait, who are you?!" Through his anger, the pain he felt made his teeth grind. His hand lowered to hold his wounded leg and did his best to run after her, however... He knew why she was walking away, he wouldn't be able to run very far. (The song ends here! :D)
'Get out of my way', those words lingered in his mind for the longest time, after he sat on the road and leaned his head back. From his pocket he pulled out a phone and dialed the Principal, he hoped he could ask for the Recovery Girl and a lift.
~~~Muni~~~
From the side, a pale hand ripped a piece of cloth from a nearby table spread and wiped her mouth. The undead woman, who passed by a cafe' with outdoor tables, made her way to the hospital and saw how it became closer by the minute. From her pocket she pulled out her glasses and placed them back on, to ensure that her quirk was only used every once in a while.
Her strict, rage-enveloped eyes, black as coal and as dead as night, were so focused on one particular thing. A path ahead of her led to the pro ninja and the dead parents he faced, she could see the dead dad in the distance trying to fight with everything he had. They're dead... Just like me. So I'm not the only one who went through the same experiment. I need one of them... mumbling with venom in her thoughts, her feet picked up their pace and soon she bolted after the two.
Her white, puffer, and sleeveless trench coat, flowed behind her along with her pigtails as she ran. She watched Edgeshot slice the head off of the male zombie effortlessly, making the body drop motionless onto the ground.
"I'm sorry... Rest in peace, now," Shinya spoke quietly with a slight bow to the dead man and felt rather sympathetic for him and his wife's predicament. Now facing the dead woman who had no change in expression, his eyes softened, for he believed that their souls were suffering from having to be forced to stay in a decaying body. "I didn't want your daughter seeing you two be killed... At least, not a second time. I will reassure you-- your daughter is in safe hands. I will be her father soon, so she will have a parent to guide her the rest of the way. You needn't worry anymore," His words seemed to have affected her just slightly since her fake smile fell into a frown.
Her own, hazed, icy blue eyes lit up with surprise before they changed to a more genuine and sweet smile that a dead woman could muster. "Thank you... So much. My husband wanted to kill her, so she could be with us again. I'll let him know what you said, he'll be at ease knowing you'll be her father," a little crack in her voice, it was hard to try and pull off tears, since crying required a living body to produce it. "You know... My little girl, she always looked up to you. She used to have so many posters and figurines of you when she was small. She always believed that you deserved more fame than what you had. You're a very good man... Edgeshot," Very slowly, from behind her, out came a sharp knife that she had hidden and Shinya noticed it.
"Thank you, you have a very smart and strong daughter. You and your husband raised her well, so, please. Let me put you out of your misery, so you don't have to suffer anymore," Calmly he wandered over to her. His quirk, the red thread gently reached towards the knife and smacked it away. "Before I let you go..." he paused for a moment, with a subtle movement of his quirk wrapping around her neck. "Who told you two, to come after your daughter?" His question seemed to have made pain envelop her dead eyes, she and the ninja weren't aware of the other zombie lurking behind his back.
"Goroganda Gechi... A cyber doctor," her whispered answer, caused those gray eyes of Kamihara's to widen. He knew it, he felt it was suspicious that the cyber doctor had little to no other patients in the building's lobby.
"Then let me tell you this..." With a pause in Shinya's words, he trailed off before he continued. "The Hero Association will see to it, that justice will be given. Now, rest, with peace of mind," After that, he saw the dead woman nod with a delightful smile and censorship hid the fact that she was beheaded. Focusing only on the ninja himself, a glint of anger in his hues sparked for a moment while a light thud of the woman's head hit the ground.
"You killed them..." Ever-growing rage spat out from Muni's lips from behind, which astonished him. Quickly he turned around only to come face to face with the very woman he chose to help Aizawa look for. "AAH!" Swiftly in place, she spun and smacked him on the face hard enough to send him backward through the air. "You ruined my chance!" Screaming with pure rage, she chose to ignore the ninja and run to the hospital instead. If those zombies were outside like this, then they're being used to distract others! Goroganda, a cyber doctor..? My ass! I will kill him! A growling, ferocious roar of rage in her mind echoed as she sprinted to the hospital.
