As the elevator begins ascending, Firetamer turns to you.

"Tomorrow's schedule is a bit busy, but so is every day here. You'll get used to it by the end of the week. Breakfast is at five, and then you'll be joining me for my run and workout at six in the gym. After that, we'll meet with the rest of the morning crew for briefings at eight. Then, Kai will show you some of the paperwork we heroes have to fill out while I'm out for brunch with my dear Dia."

"Oh, you have a date!" You smile.

"Yes I do! We're watching a movie tonight, too, so how do I look?"

You smile and give her a thumbs up. Her short dark hair is ruffled, yet always seems to look good.

"Perfect!" She runs a hand through her hair. "And what after that... Let's see... I should be back around noon, so once I'm back you and I will go on patrol. Unless there's an emergency. Fortunately, one of my sidekicks will be taking over most of the emergency fire responses while I have you here at the station. Her name is Sierra, you'll meet her at the briefing. Once Kai's done with you, she'll help you with some combat training until I'm back. Oh, she'll also make sure you can move around better in your uniform."

"Wow... All that before lunch?"

"Oh, of course you'll be fed before we go on patrol. Thankfully, with Jeanist and I here we're able to take care of most things. He handles more villains than I do, and I handle more rescues really. We get along well, aside from clothes."

"What do you mean by clothes?" You ask.

"Jeanist tends to like everyone in his company to look well kempt and proper. Lots of people love his fashion because of that. Us in the crew here don't really dress up often. If at all."

"Oh, I have a friend interning with him right now! It's hard to imagine him dressed up, though."

"And who is that?"

"His name is Bakugou, he was-"

"The energetic blond! Yes! I like his spirit! Too bad his quirk is the opposite of fire prevention! He did well in the sports festival."

"He did! It was nuts going against him. That was the hardest fight I've ever been in!" You sigh.

"Man, I wonder what Jeanist was thinking choosing him..." Fire Tamer chuckles. "He seems more suited to Endeavor's agency, but I guess he went with his son."

"What do you mean?"

"He's definitely not the usual intern he picks. Typically, he goes for the real polite kids. Good kids, but more of the teachers pet kind. Perfect students, you know? Hell, I'm surprised you didn't go there!"

"Bakugou is a really hard worker, I'm sure he was just impressed by his dedication," you smile.

"I'm not too sure about that... Your friend might have met his match!"

"I wonder if we'll see them during our patrol tomorrow..."

"Normally we take care of seperate parts of the city. We do meet up every now and then to talk business, though, maybe we'll pass through his area if it's quiet. We can smear a little dirt on our clothes to see if he notices." Fire Tamer laughs.

"You two must get along well." You say.

"Yes, I like to bother him, but we've known eachother for years now. You have to get along if you're working in the same city."

"I hope Bakugou is behaving for him..."

"I'm sure he's fine! Here's your floor, kid. Don't forget to set your alarms, or you'll miss breakfast!" Fire Tamer says as the elevator doors open with a ding. "I'll meet you in the cafeteria at five."

"I won't! I'll set them as soon as I get in my room! Have a good night!" You step out of the elevator and wave goodnight to Fire Tamer.

"Get some rest, you'll need it for tomorrow."

The doors close, and you turn away, heading to your room for the night. Reaching into your pocket, you take out your key card, and hold it to the lock. It clicks and you enter the room.

After switching on the light, you stretch your arms. I better shower again... You quickly set your morning alarms for 4:30 and sigh looking at the time you'll be waking up at.

As you enter your bathroom and get undressed, you put the radio on to the local station. You have music subscriptions on your phone, but enjoy the nostalgia of listening to the radio every so often.

Unlike earlier, you have a warm shower. It's just better before bed. The water relaxes you as it hits your back, and you feel your eyes wanting to close once again as the music plays.

I wonder how everyone else's first day went... I'm sure there will be some funny stories once we're all back at school...

You reach for your soap and smile as the smell hits you. It's the same brand your mother used to use. It reminds you of her and home, before everything happened.

"Alright folks, now, for a pause on the music." The radio host says after the song finishes. "It's been days since Hosu city's hero, Ingenium, was attacked and left in critical condition."

Your eyes snap open. "Ingenium?" You don't recall hearing anything about Iida's older brother since you spoke to Iida after your fight.

"Yes, the Hero Killer's latest attack." The co-host continues. "They say he normally kills his victims, so it's a miracle he survived!"

"Word is, he won't be able to work as a hero again."

"That's terrible!"

You feel yourself get cold regardless of the hot water cascading down you as you listen to the news about your friend's brother.

"Yeah, there's no official statement from his agency, but based on the incident report, he was lucky to live another day."

"I hope the heroes catch him soon... How they've let him kill so many already is beyond me..."

"That's because no one strong enough is going after him. What about All Might? Endeavor? Why hasn't anyone taken him down yet?"

You rip the shower curtain open and turn the radio off.

"That's what I get for listening to the radio..." You sigh. Listening to the hosts blame the heroes for the killings made you feel nauseous. You hadn't realized, but the water had started freezing as it hit your skin. After turning the water off, you grab a towel, and turn the ice covering you to steam.

As you finish drying yourself off with the towel, you think about Iida. That must have been why he was so quiet these past few days... I should have asked him how he was doing... Must be why he couldn't decide on a hero name, too... He must be so worried about his brother...

Wrapping your towel around you, you step out into your room. There was a note slipped under the door written on the agency's stationary. You pick it up and see it's from Kai.

"Dia told me FT forgot to give you these and asked me to drop them off. The bag is on the outside handle of your door. -Kai"

"I wonder what she forgot to give me?" You quickly throw on your pyjamas and open the door. On the handle there is a red tote bag. Fire Tamer's emblem is printed in black on the front with Fire Tamer's Fire-Fighting Agency written below. You bring the bag inside with you and lock your door again.

Inside the bag you find another two sets of clothes identical to the ones you had worn to dinner, as well as a few other items. There is a pen, notebook, water bottle, small cloth bag with something in it, and an envelope. You open the envelope first.

Inside of it is a note from Dia welcoming you to the agency and jokingly asking you to keep her wife in check for her. You smile as you read it and flip it over to read the back.

This emblem will help identify you as an official student of the agency. Please keep it on your person at all times when outside of the agency and in uniform in case of separation from staff. The watch is to be worn at all times in case of emergencies when communication is needed. It is waterproof and fireproof, so please keep it on during all activities.

You open the small drawstring bag and pull out the emblem. It shines like new and displays Firetamer's logo on it. On the back, it has your name and the word student on it. Smiling, you set it down on your night side table. Then, you take the watch out and turn it over in your hands. It looked like a classic analogue watch, but when you touch the face, an interface pops up with a list of emergency contacts as well as other options.

"Wow, Engitech must have made this..." You say as you put it on.

Jeez, I wonder how many others can say they got goodie bags at their agency?

After putting the rest of the items away, you finish getting ready for bed. Before you go to sleep, you text Iida asking how he's holding up.

As always, he responds within two minutes of seeing it, simply stating that he is doing alright and wishing you a goodnight after urging you to go to sleep as it is late.

Not satisfied with his answer, you sigh. You reply, assuring him that you know what he's going through and available to talk whenever he needs to, but he again tells you he's fine. He goes offline and you follow suit.

I hope Iida has someone he can talk to about all of this... I'm worried about him...

As you get into bed, exhaustion hits you. Within seconds of your head hitting your pillow, you're already asleep.
