"Alright... Tonight's the night." Hawks says. The clock on his office wall ticks quietly behind him, and you share a glance with Tokoyami in front of his desk. "This mission is important, so I'm counting on the two of you to help me pull it off."

"Is it a smart decision for only the three of us to go?" Tokoyami asks skeptically. Dark Shadow nods over his shoulder, staring at the map on Hawks' desk.

"Yeah... Shouldn't your sidekicks come as backup? They have more experience than us..." You share an uncertain glance with Tokoyami.

"We'll be fine. Besides, it's a stealth mission. We need as few people as possible for this, and the two of you are all the backup I need. Now... Tsukuyomi, your costume is fine for this, but Hydra... I had this made for you. It's not completely the same as your costume, but it's similar enough." Hawks pulls a briefcase from behind his desk. Inside of it is a sleek black version of your hero costume. The design stays true enough to yours, but aside from the black, there's only some deep blue detailing.

"Woah... My costume looks cool in black!" A smile crosses your face as you feel the fabric. "It feels kinda like a wetsuit."

"That's because it is one. When we get to the harbour, you'll be waiting in the water. Tsukuyomi and I will infiltrate the warehouse, getting Dark Shadow to keep an eye at the window for the villains to arrive." Hawks looks back down at the map of the harbour front and the blueprints for the warehouse on his desk. He points out where you'll be compared to him and Tokoyami, causing the paper to crinkle under his gloved index finger. "Once they're all inside, you'll keep an eye out for their supplier. There should be plenty of boats for you to hide behind, but you may have to hide underwater. You'll also have to swim underwater from the drop off point to the warehouse so no one spots you."

"I can't believe you were able to track down where that guy got the injection from already..." You say, trying to memorize the path you'll be swimming tonight as Hawks drags his finger across your route.

"Is it possible this meeting is a trap?" Tokoyami asks Hawks who shakes his head.

"It's not likely. He wasn't the one who actually bought it from this gang. He nabbed it from the guy who did buy it while he was drunk at the bar. The guy who made contact with the gang has no idea who stole it, let alone that they got caught. As far as the public knows, our weather villain just had a really strong quirk." Hawks explains.

"I see..." Tokoyami nods. "So, what do we do when Y/n spots the supplier?"

"You and I will stay hidden inside while she keeps an eye out for any unexpected extra visitors. When the supplier enters the warehouse, I'll have small cams up to record the deal, and once we have evidence of the sale, we'll strike. Hydra, when I give the signal, you need to freeze the warehouse completely. I don't want a single person getting in or out other than you. After it's sealed, join us inside to help capture everyone through this window." Hawks taps the blueprint on his desk. "It's the highest window in the warehouse. I'll take care of all of the villains, and you're in charge of grabbing the drugs, okay, Tsukuyomi?"

Tokoyami nods, and you lean over Hawks' desk. "So I'll need to freeze each exit and make sure it's strong enough to withstand any blows..." You scan the paper, memorizing each entrance and window. "Not to mention any weak points in the walls that they may try to break through..."

"Exactly. Remember, we still don't know how they make this drug or how it works. We don't even know if they're developing any other drugs. The second either of you see any type of injector, projectile, gun, I don't care, you tell me. Our top priority may be recovering a sample of the drug that we can send off to be analyzed, but I don't want anything happening to either of you. I won't let anything happen to either of you."

Both you and Tokoyami nod as Hawks continues going over the plans for your mission tonight. The plan is simple enough, but you both pay extra attention. With everything you've experienced so far, neither of you want to be cocky and risk something going wrong. Thankfully, Hawks appears pretty confident that this group isn't working with the League of Villains, but he doesn't seem to want to elaborate further.

"Don't worry, birdies. My informant is very trustworthy. The League won't be there tonight." Hawks says confidently.

"Are you certain? The League of Villains are always lurking in the shadows when we least expect it..." Tokoyami says, and Dark Shadow nods again.

"Shouldn't we prepare for them to show up just in case?" You add on, thinking back on your nightmare of Dabi. "What happens if they're mixed in with the criminals?"

"Relax, relax. I promise you, they won't be there tonight, and even if they did try to show up, they're no match for me." Hawks says reassuringly. His wings ruffle slightly as you and Tokoyami look like you're about to question him further, but when you both nod instead, they seem to relax.

"We trust your judgement." Tokoyami says.

"Yeah, you're the pro." You nod, sharing another glance with Tokoyami. Something about the way Hawks is insisting that the League of Villains won't be there tonight seems off, but you can't pinpoint exactly why. Before either of you can ask him any more questions about the mission, Hawks' phone rings. He curses as he glances at the number on the screen, debating ignoring it but deciding against it.

"Sorry... Give me a few to take this call, and we'll go over the rest of it in a bit. Why don't you two go get something to eat, yeah?" He sighs.

With a nod, both you and Tokoyami exit his office, heading off to the cafeteria.

y'all I am so sorry I disappeared again life has been sucker punching me one after another, but I finally had time and energy to work on this so I'm gonna post a few chapters now to make up for the long wait so I hope you enjoy them :)
