“Hydra!!”

Before the bolt of lightning can hit you, Tokoyami tackles you to the ground, and the two of you roll across the muddy grass. The lightning wizzes over your heads, and you roll to a halt with Tokoyami on his hands and knees over top of you.

“Are you alright??” He asks.

“Thanks to you!” You gasp.

“Uh oh!” Dark Shadow yells as the man blasts him away with a strong gust of wind.

“Dark Shadow!!” Tokoyami shouts as he’s flung away. The man rises to his feet, cackling to himself as Tokoyami quickly pulls you up with his hand wrapped in yours.

“You kids have no idea what you’re in for now!!” The villain screams over his laughter. The weather intensifies, and lightning strikes the trees around you, starting fires even in the rain.

“Tsukuyomi! I'm going to try to immobilize him! You knock him out when I do!” You shout over the wind and rain.

“Be careful!” Tokoyami says, still holding your arm.

“Just try it!!!” The man cackles. He aims at the two of you again, his palms sparking as they unleash more lightning.

Thinking quickly, you blast up more ice walls. The wind and rain blowing in every direction along with the flashes of lightning make it incredibly difficult to see, even with your helmet protecting your face. Tokoyami and Dark Shadow stay behind the wall as you slip around the edge. You're able to freeze some of the water on the man, but he sends more lightning your way before you can finish. With a dive, you roll out of the way and behind a tree.

The trunk bursts into flames, causing you to fall backwards into a muddy puddle with a large splash. As the flames tower over you, a strangled scream leaves your lips. Your body freezes in place, and frost forms on your skin. The puddle you're in freezes over as you shake under the raging flames.

“I've got you.” Tokoyami grabs you and pulls you away from the burning tree. With his arms wrapped around you protectively, he sends Dark Shadow at the man again. Being pressed against Tokoyami's chest snaps you out of your panic, and you turn your head towards the villain. As Dark Shadow lunges at him and distracts him, you hurry to help. He's moving too much to freeze him, so you send a barrage of icicles at him.

“Thank you again, Tsukuyomi...” You say in embarrassment.

A few of your icicles connect with the villain as Tokoyami nods, and he curses in pain. “You brats don't know when you've been overpowered!! You should learn to give up!!” He snaps. The wind rushes away from him, pushing you both back. Dark Shadow digs his hands into the ground, preventing him from being blown back as well. Tokoyami keeps a firm grip around you, not willing to separate from you again. To prevent the two of you from slipping farther away, you freeze your feet to the ground and blast more icicles at the villain.

“We've been told!” You shout. “UA students never give up!” A few of the icicles make it through the wind, and a large one pierces his baggy pant leg, pinning it to the ground.

“Damn brat...!” The man looks down, momentarily distracted as he tears his leg free.

“Don't underestimate us just because we're still students!” You freeze dozens of icicles from the rain pouring down, and hold them above and around the man. “Piercing... Fangs!!!!” You shout as they all crash down around him. The sharp ones dig into the ground around him and slice through his baggy pants once more, pinning him in place. The rest are blunt, and hit him in his weak points. The combination gives you just enough time to freeze his legs over. “Tsukuyomi! Now!!”

“Right! Dark Shadow!!” Tokoyami shouts for Dark Shadow, who hits the man in the back of his head. The blow instantly knocks the man out, and he slumps. Before he can fall, you extend the ice to catch him.

“Is he really out??” You lean closer, and Tokoyami keeps a protective grip around your waist.

“Be careful...” He says softly. “Dark Shadow, is he unconscious?”

“He's out like a light!” Dark Shadow nods and gives you both a thumbs up. A sigh of relief escapes both of your lips, and the storm begins to calm down a bit.

“–dra! Tsukuyomi! Is it finally working...? Hey! I caught his buddies! You two okay? Can you hear me now??” Hawks' voice comes over your radios. He sounds pretty concerned.

“Oh! Hawks! We just beat him! He's unconscious now. The storm is starting to taper off. Our radios must have been messed up due to the weather.” You reply.

“I'm glad you two got him. All of this wind is causing such a pain... When it suddenly got worse, and I couldn't reach you guys... Well, anyways, I caught his accomplices. They were trying to rob an art gallery that's supposed to open tomorrow.”

“Listen, Hawks, this guy really needs to see a doctor. He was acting weird when we first got to him, and then Tsukuyomi had him pinned down with Dark Shadow, and we pretty much had him captured, but then...” You explain.

“He injected himself with an unknown substance. It must have been a quirk enhancing drug. The storm intensified, he was suddenly able to shoot lightning from his palms, and his quirk became much more formidable in general.” Tokoyami takes over. “It is truly worrisome...”

“A drug that enhanced his quirk, huh?” Hawks says. “I'll be over in just a minute. I'm just waiting on the cops to come pick these guys up. You two keep an eye on him. What happened to the injector he used?” Hawks sounds concerned.

“Let's see... Ah, crap, it looks like I broke it during the fight... It's broken in a few pieces on the ground...” You say sheepishly.

“No worries. Just don't touch it, and wait for the police and I to arrive. I already pinged them to your location. It won't be much longer.” Hawks says. “Oh, I hear them here now. I gotta go. See you soon.”
