“So, we had a conference about potential work studies for the rest of you first years last night.” Aizawa says as homeroom starts the next morning. “Plenty of teachers, even the principal, said, ‘Don't even think about it.’”

“Huh?! Even after that whole demonstration we got?!” Kirishima groans. “But the principal's the one who let Y/n go in the first place!”

“Not that he had much of a choice...” You mumble.

“I guess it makes sense, though...” Kaminari says as he plays with Ojiro's tail. “Given everything that happened and led up to the dorm system in the first place...”

“Take that!!!” Bakugou laughs from his seat. It's his first day back in class, and he got a quick summary of everything he missed.

“You're just saying that cuz you wouldn't be able to do it anyways...!” Toru scoffs.

“But...” Aizawa continues, and the class goes silent. “ Some were of the opinion that the overprotective direction we’re going in won't foster strong heroes. As such, we will allow agencies with proven track records that offer work studies to take on first years. That's our decision.”

“Woohoo!!” Kirishima and a few of your classmates cheer.

“Crap!!” Bakugou looks irritated and jealous.

“Tokoyami!! This means you can join me with Hawks!!” You smile. “It's going to be so much fun!”

“I don't know if I'd describe working with Hawks as fun...” Tokoyami sighs. “But... I may find it more enjoyable with you there...”

“I wonder how Gunhead is doing...” Uraraka says.

“I should give Selkie a call.” Tsuyu nods.

“I'll be handing out a list of approved hero agencies. Unfortunately, not all of you were scouted by any, so it will be difficult to get a placement.” Aizawa says. He hands papers out to everyone aside from Bakugou, Todoroki, and you. He pauses when he reaches Tokoyami. “Hawks has already been nagging us nonstop about you as well, Tokoyami. I'm assuming you plan on accepting his offer on heading back to his agency?”

Tokoyami nods. “Yes.”

“Good, then you don't need a copy.”

“This is so exciting!!!” You grin at Tokoyami. “Hawks has your room all set up and everything already. He put me in the room right next to you!”

“Of course he did...” Tokoyami says. “I shouldn't be surprised.”

“Hm? Why's that?” You tilt your head at him.

“N-No reason...” Tokoyami avoids your gaze and class resumes.

The days go by, and soon Sunday rolls around. You get up bright and early, and quickly get ready for the day. Today's the day you head back to Hawks' agency, and Tokoyami is joining you. As you head downstairs, you spot Tokoyami and Kirishima sitting at one of the tables eating breakfast and head over to join them. They're dressed in casual clothes.

“You boys aren't dressed yet?” You ask. “You know we have to wear our uniforms over, right?”

“Oh, you're ready early.” Kirishima says as he has a bite of toast. “Don't you two still have a bit before you have to leave for your flight?”

Tokoyami nods, and you grin. “The early bird gets the worm! I'm just super excited that Tokoyami is coming today!”

“Hawks is already rubbing off on you...” Tokoyami sighs. “Have something to eat first.”

“I will, I will. I just wanted to make sure I was ready first.” You head into the kitchen, and you quickly grab some breakfast. Sitting down across from Kirishima, you begin to dig in. “So, Kiri, you managed to convince Amajiki to introduce you to Fatgum, huh?”

“Yep!! I'm so excited! It's gonna be a blast!” He grins. “It took a lot of begging, though. He was real nervous around me for some reason.”

A laugh escapes you as you eat. “I bet you were stalking and harassing him! Besides, I think he's just like that with everyone. Remember how nervous he was when I complimented him after the fight with Togata?”

“That's true...” Kirishima nods. “Hey! Wait! I didn't stalk or harass him...! I just... Followed and asked him a few times...!”

“When are you two leaving?” Tokoyami asks him.

“I've still got a bit, I'm meeting Tamaki after you guys are due at the airport.” Kirishima sighs. “I wanna go now! Today he’s just introducing me to Fatgum, so I’ll have to bring the paperwork back tonight before I can actually do anything.”

“You're so impatient!” You laugh.

“Says you! You're already ready to go!” Kirishima gestures to the fact that you're in your school uniform with your costume case and backpack next to you on the ground.

“You got me there...” You shovel more food into your mouth with a small grin. “Tokoyami, you got your ticket okay, yeah?”

“Yes.” Tokoyami nods as he sips his juice through a straw. “I have it ready on my phone. Do you?”

“Yep!”

“Yo, mornin’.” Kaminari and Mineta walk up to the three of you, both brushing their teeth.

“I'm surprised you two aren't sleeping in.” You tell them.

“Hey, what's that supposed to mean?” Kaminari frowns. You can't help but laugh at his hair.

“Nice bedhead.” You laugh through a mouthful of food.

“I just woke up, leave me alone.” He pouts.

“Tokoyami, I can't believe you get to spend the day with Y/n...!” Mineta frowns. “Get Hawks to hire me, too! I bet he could teach me how to get any chick...!”

“No way would he take you on. You wouldn't be able to keep up.” You say, taking another bite of food. “Besides, he’s a gentleman, not a flirt.”

“It's true, even I can hardly keep up with him.” Tokoyami nods.

“You two are so rude!!” Mineta whines.

As the five of you chat, a flurry of rapid footsteps approaches you. You turn to see Midoriya sprinting away from the elevator.

“Ah, Midoriya, good morn–” You and Kaminari are cut off as he races past.

“Morning!!!”

“He's already out the door...” Tokoyami says.

“I heard he and All Might convicted Togata to introduce him to Sir Nighteye. He used to be All Might's sidekick.” Kirishima says.

“Makes sense that he's in such a rush. He's obsessed with All Might.” Kaminari says.

You nod. “Plus it's Midoriya. He'd act like that no matter who the hero was so long as he's learning.”

“True... Oh, there's Bakugou and Todoroki...” Kaminari notices the pair.

“Morning you two!” You grin. “You ready for your remedial course?”

“Yes.” Todoroki nods. “We’ll hurry to catch up to the rest of you.”

“You better not be mocking me.” Bakugou grunts at you. He reaches down and grabs a piece of your toast from your plate.

“Hey! Get your own breakfast!” You whine as he bites into it.

“Your toast is burnt.” He grumbles, but he continues eating it anyways.

“Make your own then!” You huff and pull your plate closer to you to guard it. Kirishima and Kaminari chuckle.

“Bakugou, you shouldn't steal her food.” Todoroki tells him. “She and Tokoyami have to leave soon for their work study.”

“Shove it, Icy Hot! She'll survive. I'm sure Hawks will be feeding them all sorts of food, anyways.” He grumbles in response as he finishes your toast.

“Where's your tie? You aren't even going to wear it to your remedial course?” You ask.

“I doubt Bakugou ever even took it out of the package.” Kaminari laughs. “I've never seen him wear it.”

“Me either...” Kirishima nods.

“I don't need a stupid tie! It's too tight around my neck.” Bakugou frowns as he looks down at you. “Yours is all messed up...” Bakugou wipes his hands off on your napkin, and without a word, he grabs your tie. He quickly undoes it, and he has it tied perfectly almost immediately.

“Oh...! Thank you, Bakugou!” You glance down and grin back up at him.

“Shut up... It hurt my eyes to look at, is all. Your tie was almost as bad as damn Deku’s...!”

“It wasn't that bad!” Kirishima laughs.

“Hey, I asked for help with my tie the other day, and you told me to go fuck myself!” Kaminari complains.

“You're a guy! You should know how to tie a tie!”

“So should Y/n! We've been wearing ties since school started!”

Bakugou and Kaminari begin to bicker, and you can't help but chuckle at them. “You guys are ridiculous. Bakugou, you two better behave today. You too, Shoto.”

“The hell is that supposed to mean?!”

“We will.”

“Speak for yourself, Icy Hot!!”

“It means you two can't fight with each other, or the others.” You give Todoroki a knowing look as you think of him and Inasa.

“We won't.” Todoroki nods.

“Tch, I said quit speaking for me!!”

Bakugou and Todoroki walk towards the front doors, and the five of you continue chatting. Soon, it's time for you and Tokoyami to prepare to leave.
