"Alright, time for the semi-finals to kick off!" Midnight shouted as the crowd burst into cheers. "On my left, we have Sumiko Todoroki, Class 1-A's ice queen!" On cue, Sumiko walked into the arena with a glare toward Midnight for the title. "And on my right, we have Kira Musubi, Class 1-A's pink princess!" On cue as well, Kira walked out and onto the arena, though her hands were noticeably shaking. "Let the battle begin!"
Without a second to spare, Sumiko shot a trail of ice toward Kira as the pink-haired girl created three cement golems in front of her. Though it didn't seem to matter as the trail of ice went past the golems and exploded into a glacier, encasing Kira into it.
Blinking in disbelief and fright, everyone looked at the pink-haired girl encased in solid ice. Then their attention was brought to Sumiko, who didn't even seem a bit remorseful for the girl.
"Sumiko Todoroki is the winner and will be moving onto the finals!" Nejire announced, getting out of her stupor. "The next match will be Mina Ashido versus Katsuki Bakugo!"
One defrost later, Katsuki and Mina were both standing on opposite sides of the arena, both ready to pummel the other into the ground. Though Katsuki was given a warning, Izuku gathered enough energy to protect his friends from harm, just in case.
"Fighters, ready?" Midnight asked for the first time throughout the entire tournament. Either way, she got a sinister smile from Katsuki and a cheerful one from Mina in response. "Fight!"
Katsuki immediately shot off an explosion behind him while Mina started to use her acid and surf around the arena. And as both got closer to each other, they punched each other square in the jaw. But Katsuki's punch had an added explosion, blasting Mina into the wall of the arena.
"Sorry, Pinky, but you weren't even good enough for a warm up." He taunted as he walked away from the arena.
"Katsuki Bakugo is the winner!" Present Mic shouted with excitement.
"And the finale will be Sumiko Todoroki versus Katsuki Bakugo!" Nejire added, both too excited for Aizawa's liking.
But with a cheer from the audience, Katsuki returned to the stadium while Sumiko jumped out of the stands and made an ice slide to get to the arena. Now, the two were on opposite sides of the arena and glaring at each other.
"Finally, I'll be able to fight you, icy-hot, and show that I'm the best!" Katsuki exclaimed as he pointed to Sumiko who raised one of her eyebrows at the odd nickname.
"That was the best you could come up with?" She asked as he had a bead of sweat drop down the side of his head. "Wait, do you even know my name?"
"W-Why would I learn the name of someone who's going to lose to me!?" He retorted, albeit it only proved that he didn't know her name.
With a deep sigh, Sumiko crossed her arms and looked at Midnight to start the final match. Though the woman just looked at Katsuki as he seemed to be losing his patience.
"Alright, let the finale begin!" She shouted before the student council came out of the luxury box and surrounded Midnight, just in case.
Starting off the fight, Sumiko swung her right arm behind her, creating a wall of ice in an instant. Though it didn't even seem to matter to Katsuki as he used an explosion to blast himself toward Sumiko before punching her in the gut. But before she was pushed too far back, he opened his palm and blasted her right into her wall of ice.
Getting out of the wall, the ice had a large crack from the impact, but it was quickly sealed up by more ice. Then, Katsuki tried to punch her again, only for Sumiko to grab his wrist and encase the entire arm in ice.
It would've spread to more of his body if he hadn't used an explosion to make some space between them. But at least he was smart enough to use break the ice away, though that gave Sumiko to chance to make another trail of ice that went toward Katsuki and shot up a pillar of ice from underneath his feet.
In the midst of his flight, Katsuki blasted himself further up before starting to spin. He started to create a vortex of smoke and explosions as he started to aim the vortex toward Sumiko.
"Use your fire, girly. Otherwise, you're dead!" He exclaimed as the vortex shot toward Sumiko, who made a dome of ice around herself.
Once the vortex collided with the dome, the latter of which shattered, a giant explosion erupted within the arena, blasting both fighters toward the wall. Luckily for one of them, they made a wall to stop a ring-out. At least for them, that is.
"SUMIKO IS THE WINNER!" Midnight shouted at the top of her lungs, causing the audience to burst into cheers.
"Looks like you lost, Short-fuse," Sumiko taunted as she walked past Katsuki who was pulling himself out of a crater in the wall of the stadium.
"I'll beat you next time, bitch." He mumbled, making it so no one could hear him.
After the arena was gotten rid of and the ice was melted, Cementoss replaced all of it for small podiums with the third place spot being bigger than the others since they didn't have time to have another fight.
"Sorry for the wait, everyone!" Midnight shouted as she stood in front of the three podiums with Cementoss seemingly gone. "But welcome to the award ceremony! Hosted by- "
"It is I! All-Might!" Exclaimed the overly-muscular man who was missing for the past chapters.
But he turned to Midnight, only to see her angry at him. "Yes, this year's award ceremony is being hosted by All-Might, the Symbol of Peace!" She shouted with a hint of anger laced in her voice.
Then she walked away to go look for something exciting, leaving All-Might to take care of the award ceremony. "Anyway! I have the medals for our four winners!" All-Might exclaimed as he walked closer to the podium and pulled four medals out of seemingly nowhere. "Tied for the third place spot we have Kira Musubi." He said, not shouting for once.
Placing the bronze medal around Kira's neck, the pink-haired girl mumbled, "Thank you."
Staying in his kneeling position, All-Might started to whisper to her. "You're welcome, but try to hone your own body too. Your golems can only protect you so much, after all."
Getting a nod from Kira, All-Might stepped back before standing in front of Mina.
"Mina Ashido, you share the third place spot with Kira Musubi, congratulations," All-Might said, not overbearingly loud but just enough so most of the audience could hear him.
Giving Mina a bronze medal, she had one of the most cheerful smiles you'd ever seen. "Thanks, Sensei!" She exclaimed, showing her excitement verbally.
Again, All-Might kneeled down to whisper some advice to his student. "Try to find some other ways to use your quirk or develop a special technique. Trust me it'll help.
With a nod from Mina, All-Might left his spot in front of the third place podium and stood in front of the second place podium. And this contestant didn't seem happy at all, though no one expected more from Katsuki.
"Katsuki Bakugo, you've done well today, earning you a silver medal."
But in trying to give Katsuki his medal, the blonde smacked it out of All-Might's hands. "I don't need your stinking medal. Not until I beat everyone and become number one!" He exclaimed, but his scowl offset the tone of his declaration.
"Boy, don't make me be a parent. You and I both know that backhand you to America." Threatened All-Might in a very low, sinister voice. "So keep that anger in check. Boy."
Shaking from fright, Katsuki looked away while All-Might moved to stand in front of Sumiko who remained silent. Without a word, All-Might put a gold medal around Sumiko's neck, making her stumble forward slightly before she got used to the extra weight around her neck.
"Sumiko Todoroki is the grand winner of this year's sports festival!" All-Might shouted as everyone cheered.
Looking at the audience, Sumiko spotted a certain green-haired guy crossing his arms and smiling. "Thank you," she muttered as the certain guy gave her a thumbs up.
All of the sudden, All-Might put his hand onto her shoulder, forcing the girl to look at the man above men. "Young Todoroki, you need to accept the past, or it will keep holding you back." He said quietly, barely enough for the other top contestants to hear.
After a quick nod, Sumiko and the others were told to go back to the stands while the student council (including Nejire) took their place. Sitting on the podiums set up, Nejire was on the first place podium, Taira was sitting on the second place podium, and Mirio sat with one leg dangling off the side of the third place podium. Leaving Gosei, Tamaki, and Izuku to stand around the podium, or in Tamaki's case, sitting against the podiums.
Getting a microphone from Gosei, Nejire waved to the audience. "Yo! We're UA's student council!" She shouted with a peace sign after waving to the crowd. "And we have a special announcement concerning our secretary, Izuku Midoriya!"
Grabbing Izuku by his top, Nejire held him in a headlock with enough space for him to breathe, of course. "Wait, when was I the secretary?" The green-haired boy asked frantically.
"Oh, shut up, you!" Nejire exclaimed playfully as she pulled Izuku onto the first place podium with her. "Anyway! Our little secretary is going to be taking on the Hero License Exam!"
"I'm taller than you and Takahashi-senpai," Izuku muttered to himself.
"By himself!" Nejire finished, ignoring Izuku's comment.
"WHAT!?" Screamed all of the classes and most of the heroes present.
Steeling his nerves, Izuku grabbed Nejire by her shirt collar and looked her dead in the eyes. "Seriously. What?"
With a bead of sweat dropping down Nejire's face, Mirio phased his hand through Izuku's body and grabbed the microphone. "As she was saying, Midoriya-san will be representing UA at the Spring Exam held this year. As for the other students, they wanted more time to train or their Sensei hasn't deemed them ready yet." The poster boy of the group said, making Izuku release his grip on Nejire.
"Every word you just spoke has made me violently angry! Oh, great! Now I'm agreeing with Baka-go/Deku! Look what you made me do!" Both Izuku and Katsuki shouted at them, the blonde of which was more audible and angrier.
"Don't worry, pipsqueak, the committee hosting the exam wouldn't let us broadcast the footage to UA. That means only us and your Senseis will see you embarrass yourself," Gosei joked as the tips of Izuku's hairs started to turn pitch black and his eyes started to look sickly yellow. "Hey, calm down kid! We don't need any more damage."
"Fine, but look up," Izanami said, making her appearance in her physical form as she held onto Izuku as if her life depended on it.
Looking up, everyone saw a tear in the sky opening above the stadium. Without doing anything, everyone watched as the tear opened and let through an angel.
Letting the angel lower to the ground, Izuku and Izanami could see that it was the stereotypical blonde angel in white robes with pure white wings and a glowing halo. Yet the angel merely looked at Izanami before growing a scowl on her face and summoned a metal bow that looked like it was made of silver.
"Izanami, goddess of life and death. The deities residing in the heavens accuse you of breaking the curse that bound you to the underworld." She said, not even introducing herself.
Sighing, Izanami leaned over Izuku's shoulder. "My host. Defeat this angel and I swear upon my domains that I won't forcibly take control over your body unless the situation absolutely needs it."
"Alright, I need to vent and that bow looks pretty nice." He replied as the death goddess hid back within his body. "Everyone! I got this! But if you interfere, you're dead!"
Stepping back, everyone heeded his words while the angel merely raised her bow and pulled the string back, making an arrow of pure energy appear. Getting ready as well, Izuku made a shroud of electricity around him, signaling that he was using One For All, though only a few individuals knew of it.
Within the blink of an eye, Izuku leaped toward the angel as she let her arrow fly. But instead of being stopped or even hindered by the arrow, Izuku kept charging toward the angel.
"1 Hit!"
As Izuku got closer, he reeled his left arm back before punching the angel in her perfect jawline.
"2 Hits!"
Letting the angel fly into the wall, Izuku stood there while the lightning that was around him disappeared. Cracking his neck, he grew a sadistic grin before pulling out the Aegis shield and Cerberus gun from nothing. Then he pulled up the shield before shooting the angel in the arms, legs, and wings twice for each limb.
"14 Hits!"
"I expected more from an angel. But from what Athena has told me, you're one of the weakest ones." He said calmly, standing in front of the angel that struggled just to get out of the crater she was punched into. And shot into, but she was punched into it first.
"I may be weak... but I can still hurt you..." She said between deep breaths.
Wondering what the angel could possibly do to him, Izuku waited. Only for the angel to try to hit him with her bow. Luckily, he blocked it with his shield.
"Must be a shame." He said as his eyes turned a sickly yellow. "All you could do was struggle while I keep growing stronger."
Groaning, the angel stopped struggling before Izuku raised his revolver and pulled the trigger, killing the angel in cold blood. But as her body dispersed into energy, it went back through the tear in the sky and closed the tear once the last few particles went through it. Leaving only the angel's silver bow in the crater, so Izuku simply picked it up before absorbing it into his body.
"Alright! I hope you guys enjoyed the show!" He shouted before leaving the stadium and heading toward his dorm. With the weekend left, all that was on Izuku's mind was how to get back at the student council.
~ ...not everyone will risk everything ~
A/N: A shorter chapter than usual, but I didn't have the imagination to think up a bunch of long fights since I have to start a new story. Anyway, I added a new weapon to replace that old longbow and put two references from DBZ Abridged.
The first one was the 'Don't make me be a parent' moment. The second was the time Katsuki and Izuku were shouting.
But sadly, this makes the end of this story. If you'd like it to return, just vote on one of my conversations when it comes up, though you'll still have to wait until 2019.
