Chapter 6

(we gon' time skip to lunch)

Luckily Jeremy's table was big enough for the Squips, minus Eric, to sit down, along with all his new friends.

Michael was the first to plop his way into his seat, bragging about how he didn't need to eat lunch because he went to Seven Eleven as usual.

Then came Rich and Jake, who were...holding hands.

"Jeremy guethth what!?" Rich was smiling so wide his tooth gap split his entire mouth in half it seemed.

"What?"

"Me and Jake are a thing now!!"

"Wait really?" Jeremy's mouth was agape and Michael was just sitting there slurping his second slushy that day.

"You bet." Jake picked Rich up and sat him on his back, and Jeremy noticed the blush creeping on both their faces. "Seriously who knew you two were good with love advice."

"I didn't even give y-you any advice though." Jeremy mumbled but the two didn't seem to care as Rich climbed off Jake and into a seat.

Took a while for anybody else to show up, but when it happened it was Brooke and Chloe, who were basically the biggest power couple at school now.

Jenna followed behind them, and last but not least was Christine, and Jeremy felt his heart exploded again.

He remained quiet as not to utterly embarrass himself, well, that was until she asked to talk to him in private.

The two made their way to a small corner of the cafeteria and Jeremy was trying not to hyperventilate.

"Jeremy I wanted to talk about our little lunch date last week, and I'm starting to think I might actually like you back. Like I don't know if it's a hundred percent yet but I just had to tell you." Her smile was so sincere, and Jeremy felt himself dying of both awkwardness and happiness at the same time.

"Jeremy say something you look kinda dumb not saying anything." Keira whispered and he nodded very slowly so Christine wouldn't notice.

"I...umm...t-that's...that's a-awesome Christine...I-I...Umm...uh..." He was having a very hard time with this.

"Jeremy don't forget about Michael liking you." Shane was making a broken heart with his hands, and his lip was pouting. Jeremy noticed and sighed.

"C-Christine I...I know I like you...but...I think somebody else might like me, I don't know for sure...but I wanna know before I go and break their heart okay?" Jeremy asked and Christine nodded, skipping back to the table happily.

Jeremy slowly followed, and noticed that Michael's hood was up and his headphones on.

Jeremy gently nudged him, and Michael glanced over and smiled half heartedly. Jeremy knew he'd screwed up with this.

The rest of the day was rather...slow to say the least, the only entertaining thing being the Squips.

Finally though, the day ended, and Jeremy caught a ride home with Michael. Might as well ask him now.

"Yo Michael I...I got something I need to ask you." Jeremy mumbled and Michael looked at him for a second, acknowledging for him to continue. "Do you...do you like me? As more than a best friend?"

Michael stopped the car abruptly before starting it again, and Jeremy noticed how red his face was.

"You do don't you?" Jeremy was practically begging for an answer. "Michael answer me please I need to know!"

"Why do you need to know Jeremy!? It's not like you like me back!"

"I dunno that much but I don't wanna date Christine if it means hurting you again!" Jeremy's yell brought silence over everybody, and he realized he was crying.

"What?"

"Christine...asked me out...I guess...and...I told her there was some other person that liked me...and I don't wanna hurt them...and I don't wanna hurt you..." Jeremy's eyes were wide, glossy, and gentle. "Because...I mean I'm bisexual abd I know I've been having fluffy little fantasies with both you and Christine and it's drive me mad because I'll have to choose if I do end up liking you romantically and...and....I'm so confused."

"Nobody said you have to choose." Michael spoke calmly, which made Jeremy's breath slow a little. "I mean poly relationships exist. I mean only if she's willing to. You two could be a thing, and me and you could be a thing, and me and Christine could just be friends because she's a pretty cool person, not gonna lie."

"B-But isn't that like cheating?"

"Jeremy I am like your go to pride expert and I'm telling you it's okay as long as both me and Christine know. And I clearly know that you could do this. So you have to ask her about it." Michael smiled and Jeremy smiled back.

"T-Thanks Michael..." Jeremy felt his face flush a little and turned to see the Squips making him blush harder and harder. "I'll...I'll think into it."

"Hey we're here Heere." Michael pointed to the house he'd driven up to and Jeremy hugged him across the middle of the seats.

"Seriously. Thanks Michael."

"No problem Jeremy." Jeremy got out of the car and watched it drive off, and he waved slowly.

"Well that happened." Jeremy muttered as he walked past the Squips and into the house.

"I think you, Michael, and Christine would be adorable!!" Winston squealed and the rest of them were in agreement, stacked on top of each other to get in front of Jeremy, but the ended up falling over.

"I just...hope Christine is gonna be okay with it."
