Where Everything's Better Pt 6

I'm just gonna try and finish this today
TW: some sad Micha and idk if it'll swear or not

"So you say they've just gone missing?" Christine asked and Michael nodded in tears. She wrapped an arm around him trying to calm him down. "It's okay sweetie, don't cry, they'll come back."

"Michael's friend and mother are missing?" Jenna asked and Christine nodded. "Here, take this. It's good for finding things in bad situations." Jenna handed him a green, triangular shaped rock with a hole in the middle. "I'm sorry about you mom and friend dear."

"I-it's...okay...thank you..." Michael stood up and waved goodbye, leaving and heading home.

He headed upstairs to his mother's room and grabbed her favorite pillow, it was one she'd gotten when they visited his grandmother.

He went to his room and found his Inky plush...the one he and Jeremy had won, and held it tightly.

He crawled into the bed and kissed his mother's pillow.

"G'night Mama...Mahal Kita..." He spoke softly through tears as he kissed the Inky plush. "G-G'night Jeremy...I love you..." He began sobbing as he closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep.

Michael woke up to see the cat staring down at him.

"H-How did you get in?" It licked its paw and Michael sighed. "Do you know what they are...Jeremy and Mama?" It nodded, and lead the blanket wearing Michael to the antique room, and to the mirror.

Inside he could see his mother and Jeremy huddled together, snow on their bodies.

"J-Jere...Mama...?" Michael whispered and Jeremy turned to see him and put a hand on the mirror, which Michael returned. Maganda began spelling out the words "help us" on the fogged mirror before they faded away.

"No...no no no..." Michael smashed the mirror with his bare fists, ignoring the blood running down his hands. "How...?"

The cat lead him back upstairs, to his mother's room, and pulled a doll out from under the bed.

Michael picked it up, and it looked like his mother, he turned it to the opposite side...and it looked like Jeremy...

"He stole them..." Michael began crying softly as he went back to the antique room and found the fireplace, throwing the doll inside, watching it burn to ashes, the cat purring against him. "I've gotta go back for them...they won't survive without me..."

He ran to his room, grabbing the cardigan Jeremy had left behind and putting it on. He grabbed his bag and wrapped it around himself, as well as a flashlight, scissors, a pocket knife, and the strange little triangle thing Christine and Jenna had given him.

He was ready.

He was crawling through the tunnel again, the cat following him.

"You're walking into his trap, you know that right?"

"Yeah...B-But...it's my best friend and my Mama...I gotta save them..."

"Well...challenge him. He likes games...he won't disapprove."

"Hmm....okay." The cat seemingly disappeared and Michael heard a door open.

"Michael?" He turned to see Jeremy, the real Jeremy, and smiled.

"Jere!?"

"Michael! You came back for me!"

"Jeremy!!" Michael crawled to the end of the tunnel and hugged him tightly, nuzzling into him before he felt him getting taller.

"How could you ever leave me Mikey?" Michael pushed him off and froze at the white skin from before.

"Where are they?"

"You mean your real mother and real crush?" Michael nodded and the other Jeremy chuckled. "I don't know where they are. Maybe they left you."

"They didn't leave, you stole them!!" Michael yelled before the chair came up behind him and picked him up again, wrapping its arms around him and locking him in place.

The other Jeremy clapped and a rat came through the door, the key in its mouth. He locked the door, the bug cabinet blocking it, and swallowed the key.

"Why don't you have your own key?" Michael asked but he didn't get his answer.

"I'll be in the living room Mikey." He kissed Michael with his cold lips before leaving.

There was a distinct whimpering sound as Michael was allowed to stand up.

"Mama...Jeremy... where is he hiding you?" Michael went to the living room, sitting on the couch, but not sitting near Jeremy.

Jeremy was playing video games as he had been the nights before, and Michael didn't like that he looked so...non Jeremy like.

"I have an idea...why don't we play a game?" Michael asked and Jeremy turned to him.

"Go on."

"It'll be a finding things games. I'm going to find my real Mama...and Jeremy...and...the eyes of the ghosts you're trapping here."

"At what cost?"

"If...I lose... I'll stay here with you...and I'll let you love me...and sew buttons in my eyes..." Michael whispered, his confidence seeping from his body.

"What if you manage to win?"

"You let me go. You let everybody go."

"Fine."

"But first, give me a clue. It's no fun without them now, is it?"

"Alright. In each of three wonders made specially for you, a ghost eye hides in plain sight."

"And what about Jeremy and Mama?" Jeremy tapped his button eye and Michael sighed. "Okay then, don't tell me." He stood up and left the house, trying to figure out the riddle. "Wonders...what wonders?" He turned to see the gaming house Jeremy had mad and walked towards it...maybe something was there.

He went inside and noticed the level was not even a real video game level. It was custom made.

He walked through it, looking for some clue as to where this thing might be, and something in his gut told him to pull out the triangle thing.

He did, and everything was grayscale. He seen a glowing blue orb and removed the piece from his eye, placing it back in his bag.

He looked up to see vines coming at him, wrapping themselves around his legs.

He pulled the pliers out from his bag and cut them off quickly, running to where the orb had been and picking up a tiny ball.

It began glowing.

"Thank you for thaving me. But the otherth are thtill out there." Michael put the eye in his bag and watched as the inside of the house turned gray and lifeless.

"I think I'm getting the hang of this..."
