Where Everything's Better Pt 2

I am rewatching Coraline so I can write this perfectly.
TW: slight swearing

Michael yawned after he finished the dinner his other mother had made him and realized how late it really was.

"You tired Mikey?" Jeremy asked and Michael nodded, removing his glasses and rubbing his eyes. "C'mon, let's get you to bed." Jeremy grabbed Michael's hand and gently intertwined their fingers, and he lead him upstairs.

They entered Michael's room and he was intrigued at how vibrant it was compared to his room back home. He crawled into the bed and yawned again.

"You really are tired huh?" Jeremy asked and Michael nodded again. "Get your sleep Mikey. I'll see you soon." Jeremy gently kissed Michael's forehead and brought the cover over him. "G'night."

"G-G'night Jeremy..." Michael mumbled, closing his eyes and letting sleep take over his body.

When Michael woke up he was expecting to be in his other bedroom, and was upset to see he wasn't. He looked at his blanket and noticed it wasn't the rainbow one.

"Why did that at seem so real?" He asked, already missing the dream he's had.

He got off the bed and made it, sighing as another day of his life began...the same routine...

He went downstairs to see his mother making him breakfast and smiled, at least she was still like his dream, not that he'd ever want her to change, she was the perfect mother.

"Mahal, you're up. Did you sleep well last night?" She asked and he shrugged. "Michael?"

"I...I slept wonderfully, and had the most perfect dream ever." He smiled as he thought back to it all. His dad didn't hate him, Jeremy loved him...just like he'd wanted.

"Oh, well why don't you tell me about it?"

"O-Okay so in the dream I followed these little mice into that little door, and it lead to another version of the house where...oh where do I start? I entered the living room and Jeremy had been waiting on me, and he kissed me and he said he loved me...and Papa was in it too, but he was a lot nicer than in real life. You went out and both of you bought me a rainbow blanket. And we all had dinner together. It...It was perfect."

"It sounds like you had your dream world last night then didn't you?"

"Yeah, the only weird thing was that everybody except me had buttons instead of eyes but other than that it was...amazing." Michael was beaming as he finished breakfast.

"You sound happy. Why don't you go entertain the drama ladies next door? I'm sure they could write some kind of play based on it?"

"Wait, you mean Mrs. Rolan and her wife?" Michael asked and his mother nodded, taking his empty plate and cleaning it. "Okay I guess. I've got nothing better to do." Michael got out of the chair and went upstairs, realizing it was still damp from raining the day before grabbing his red raincoat and matching boots, and making his way downstairs and out the house.

In which he stopped, looking down at the mail in front of him. He picked it up and looked at it, flipping through it.

"The hell is this Shane William?" He mumbled, before hearing something. He turned to see a black cat with blue eyes staring at him and waved gently. It licked its paw before leaving.

He looked in the general direction it went and seen the house with the address on the mail and went over to it. He knocked on the door and tapped his foot.

"Hey I think our mail got mixed up. D-Do you want me to leave it outside or..." He began before he felt a tap on his shoulder and looked up to see a man in around his 20s to 30s dangling from the ceiling. "AAA!" Michael fell down and the man hopped down from the ceiling

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you like that." He smiled at Michael a she opened the mail. "Oh yes the cheese, finally."

"Cheese?"

"It's for my mouse circus."

"Your what...?" Michael asked in confusion and the man smiled wide.

"I, the Stunning Shane, have a secret jumping mouse circus."

"Oh...okay..." Michael shrugged awkwardly and made his way towards the other house.

"Wait!"

"W-What!?" Michael turned around and the man ran over to him.

"The mice, they hold a message for you. They say, don't go through tiny door...do you know what they mean?"

"There's one in my grandma's antique room but...umm...nevermind. I gotta go." Michael ran towards the house next to his, spotting the cat again and slowing down.

It pounced away and Michael continued walking, knocking on his neighbor's door and rocking on his heels.

The door opened and the younger of the two ladies, Christine if Michael remembered correctly, opened it.

"Oh, I wasn't expecting company. Jenna, Love, can you get the tea ready?" She yelled into the house and Michael looked st her confused. "Well don't just stand there, come on in."

He followed, sitting down on a nice green sofa and just in time for Christine's wife, Jenna, to sit a cup on the table in front of him.

"We could read them...if you want." Jenna spoke up and Michael looked at the tea in confusion.

"R-Read what exactly?"

"Your tea leaves silly." Christine smiled and Michael blinked in concern for their mental state if they believed in this. "It'll tell your future. Now go on, drink up."

Michael went to take a huge sip but Christine shook her head.

"Little sips, don't want to drink the leaves." Jenna laughed and Michael slowly sipped the tear, the sweetness and warmth pitting a smile on his face. "There, now." Jenna placed her hand out and Michael gave her the cup.

The two women looked inside and their eyes widened.

"What's that look for? What to you see?" Michael asked and they looked at him in worry.

"Sweetie, you're in absolutely horrible danger." Christine stated and Michael blinked in concern...

Danger? What danger?
