Levi's POV

After we finish organizing Eren's things I stretch and look over at him, "Would you like some tea?"

He smiles and shrugs, "that sounds good."

I smile and walk into the kitchen and put some water on the stove to boil. I rub my bandaged wrists and sigh quietly.

Eren walks up behind me and hugs my waist, "You okay Levi?"

When I don't answer, he reaches over and turns off the stove, "The tea can wait for a second, let's check on your wrists okay?"

I turn around, "uh sure if you say so..." I let him lead me to the bathroom.

Eren lifts me onto the counter and takes my right hand in his. He starts undoing the wraps on it slowly, watching my face for signs of discomfort. I smile a little at him and the last of the ace wrap falls to the floor. We both stare at the gauze still resting on my arm and Eren pinches a corner between his thumb and pointer finger. As he starts pulling it off I look away, cool air dances over the fresh skin for the first time in a while that I can remember and I bite my lip.

Eren's POV

I set the gauze down on the counter and run my thumb over Levi's palm. The scars forming aren't as bad as I thought they would be. They look terrifying when I think about how they almost took Levi from me. I gently rub my fingertips over them and Levi draws his hand back.

I frown, "Do they hurt?.."

He nods, "just a little..."

I hold his arm in my hand and carefully brush my lips over the tender skin. Levi's arm twitches but he doesn't pull away.

I tilt my head back up and look at him, "Is that a little better?"

He leans forward and kisses my cheek, "it's much better Eren. Thank you."

I nod and unwrap the arm with only a single vertical cut and give it the same treatment.

"Can you put the wraps back on or something?....." Levi pulls his arm away from me suddenly distant.

"Whatever you want but would you mind telling why?"

"They...they are ugly...they make me ugly I dont want you to have to loo-"

I cup the back of his neck and pull him into a sweet kiss. Levi hesitates before leaning into the kiss.

I pull away momentarily so we can breathe, "Levi, you are the most gorgeous man I've ever met you know," I reach out and touch the scar on his cheek, "this one doesn't make you any less attractive and," I kiss both his wrists again, "neither do these."

Levi's POV

Tears well up in my eyes but I try to will them away. I've cried too much lately...

"Eren what did I ever do to deserve someone as wonderful as you?"

Eren just smiles and picks me up bridal style. I wrap my arms around his neck.

Eren kisses the top of my head, "How about that tea then a nap unpacking made me tired."

"That sounds like a plan to me." he walks us back to the kitchen and sets me on my feet.

I make myself some black tea and Eren some green tea. Eren puts some honey in his tea and we sit at the table. As we drink Eren keeps looking between his cup and me.

"Eren are you okay?"

He smiles from ear to ear, "your beauty is distracting."

I act hurt, "shit sorry," I finish the rest of my tea and cover my face.

Eren's POV

I roll my eyes and take our cups to the sink. I walk over to Levi and swing him over my shoulder.

He hisses, "hey brat put me down right now!"

I laugh and walk into his room before tossing him gently onto his bed. He growls and I chuckle.

I crawl over him and lean down to kiss his nose, "I love you Levi."

Levi's POV

I look up at him, "I love you too Eren."

I'll never tell him that every time he says that my heart skips a beat. Well....maybe I will but not yet. I'll tell him Soon.

Eren lays beside me and pulls me into his chest before covering us up. My eyes close as I breath deeply taking in his familiar scent. Sleep takes me within minutes.

Eren's POV

Levi's breathing evens out as he falls asleep and I smile. I hold him close and rub his back slowly as he sleeps. I decide to stay up so I can wake him at dinner time.

I bury my face in his hair, "I can't wait to call you my husband."
