I walked into the new pack house along with my mother and sister. My mother looked around impressed.

She was going to be living in the pack house along with Cassidy  with Zor and I.

"This seems like a home fit for a Luna." Says my mother. Sitting down on the couch. We've never been a in house with beautiful and big before. We would have never been able to afford it.

Zor had some business to attend to. I tried to talk to him on the ride here but all he did was give me short and quick anwsers. He didn't seem like he wanted to make any conversation with me.

I hoping things can between Alpha Zor and I can get better. I don't know how to make him not dry.

"Luna." Says a young maid to me. "My name is Martha I will be showing you to your room along with your mother and sister."

I was taken to a very huge room. I've never had this in my life. The omegas were setting everything down.

Cassidy and my mother  were shown to their rooms. I layed down on the bed.

I wished Dad was still alive. I go back to thinking how broken dad was. He was a fallen Alpha. His tittle taken from him from the current alpha of the pack. Dad lost his challenge. From there the pack went downhill and migrated everywhere. Dad stayed and dealt with the shame. After that he passed away in combat. We had to deal with all that. We lost everything. I never thought my father would every lose due to him being powerful. It taught me a lesson that the mighty do fall at some point.

I set everything in my room. Martha helped me, she's was very kind to me. She told me i would be introduced to the Pack tommorow as their new Luna.

Once I was setting everything in my room. I took  a shower and put on my PJs and went straight to bed. The bed was so comfy i felt like I was sleeping on a cloud it didn't take me long to fall asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night. I instantly  felt someone staring at me. I   turned on the lamp only to find Zor at the Conner of the room sitting on a chair. I should really remove that chair it's scary and shit.

"What are you doing?"I questioned.

"Watching you sleep." He says drinking out of glass cup which I'm guessing is whiskey.

"Do you need anything." I asked.

He shook his head.

"You are a young Luna."he says. "You need to be great to this pack. The pack is more important than anything."

"Than us?" I questioned.

He looked away then back at me.

"In this moment everything is more important than the bond Mags." He says. "I don't even know you."

"You haven't asked me anything." I say.

"All in due time Mags." He says. I haven't been called Mags in a long time. With that he left the room. What an odd dude.

Later that day I had to get ready for the pack gathering. My mother was busy zipping up my dress.

"You need to put on your good face. You are know a Luna." Says my mother sharply. "You need to socialize with everybody."

"Where is Cassidy?"

"Don't sorry about her." She says annoyed. When we went downstairs the pack house was filling with many high ranking elites. 

Zor introduced me to the pack as the new reigning  Luna. My mother was busy taking and showing off to the elites. All I could think about was Cassidy. 

I talked to everybody in the room. I was being so nice. But all that instantly stooped with someone caught my eye.

A woman that was standing being friendly with all the women was Manuela Torres she was the daughter of my dad's  Beta back when he was in power. She looked at me her smiles instantly dropped. She her eyes went straight to Zor. She looked at him with longing.

That was odd. He wasn't looking at her due to him speaking with some high ranking pack members. She walked over to me. She was so graceful a natural beauty.

"How you've grown Magdalena." She says.

"Yeah... so have you. I had no idea you were part of this pack." I say.

She nodded and smiled.

"Why yes my father had connections to get us accepted into it ever since the defeat of your late father." She says. "This has been home every since."

"Why that's great." I say.

"You are the mate of Zor." She says.

I nodded.  Why didn't she call him by Alpha Zor?

"Yeah and now the Luna." I say. "It's still surprising... So do you have a mate?"

Her face tensed.

"My mate passed away years ago." She says.

I instantly felt bad.

"I'm so sorry." I say.

She shook her head and shrugged.

"I'm fine now. I have someone." She says.

I smiled.

"I'm happy for you." I say it was getting awkward. That's when Cassidy walked over to us. "Hey I'm going to my room can you help me?"

I instantly nodded.

"Well I'll see you around." I say to Manuela. As I helped Cassidy up the stairs... She was looking more and more sick. I walked her to her room and sat her on the bed.

"I have something to tell you." She says sadly. She was trying to catch her breathe. I sat next to her on the bed.

"What's going on?" I asked.

She gave me a weak smile.

"I went to the doctor today." She says her eyes filling up with tears. "I'm...Dying."

My heart seemed to stop when I heard this. Her face didn't seem to be making a joke. Her looked  totally serious.

"What?" I say in disbelief.

She nodded.

"I was born with Bane disease. Which means my immune isn't as strong as a werewolves it's equivalent to a humans with that being said at some point it's going to making my organs fail."

I felt tears falling down my face. Cassidy can't die. She's my only sister.

My only friend.

I shook my head.

"No there has to be something that can be done." I say.

Cassidy shook her head. 

"No the doctor told me there is no cure and that my disease is hitting it's peak.  I have a months to live." She says.

I started to cry hard.

"You can't die. I need you." I say crying. "You my little sister and best firend."

Cassidy had tears running down her face.

"We'll make the best out the these few months." She says wiping her tears away.

"Did you tell mom?" I asked. 

She nodded.

"What did she say?"

Mom was out with the rest of the elites of the pack having a good time and showing off.

"She told me to put on a good fave for the people  that we will talk about it later." She says sadly.

How dare she say that. Doe she not care. How can I go back out now that I know my sister is dying. How can she put on a good face knowing this.

How could she?
