I woke up to beeping noises. I tilt my head, and agonizing pain runs through me. I stared out the window, knowing only where I was; Royal Perth Hospital. Gazing at the sunrise of colors dashing across the savanna's sky, seeing the eucalyptus trees spanning far out as I could see. Looking back around the big blank room, I see Riley farthest from me, Connor then Troye next, and Kade closest to me. Kade appeared to be the only one awake, for he was sitting up, watching the TV on the wall. "Kade, Kade!" I whispered, trying not to wake the others. He turned himself as a whole around to face me. Practically screaming, "You're awake!"

I must have had a confused look on my face, because he continued. "When we were night surfing, a giant wave came crashing down on us, and you and Troye got attacked by a shark. All four of you have been in comas for the past week, I was able to get out of the crash zone and tell the others." I nodded slowly, but stopped fast because of the pain that came back.

I noticed that he had a cast on his right arm and a boot on his right leg. One of his left fingers had a splint and bandages were tied around the finger beneath it. I asked what happened to him and he stated "I was swimming back to the beach, and the shark or another shark tried to get me, but I punched it, breaking 2 fingers and my arm. When I was running on the beach, my foot and the lower half of my leg broke somehow. I don't know what happened to Connor or Riley, I think I warned the others and passed out."

"All 4 of you guys came in floating on your boards, and Troye looked like completely broken, and he was on your board. Same with Connor and Riley, but they were on Connor's board, not Riley's." I heard somebody say, as I turned to see, it was our saviors: Sarah, Violet and Maca. Maca was talking, and she continued. "A helicopter was flying overhead, when the attack happened the attack happens, and thankfully the cameras caught what happened to you and Troye." I asked her to continue, wanting to know so badly what happened to him.

"Troye saved your life Lyz, he saw the shark coming, kicked it and punched it and then covered you so the shark couldn't attack you. He kept punching a screaming and kicking until the shark fled, but not before attacking Troye first." I covered my mouth with one my one non-cast hand, and asked her to continue.

"The camera picked up what happened to Riley and Connor too. Connor saw the wave, and Screamed as it came crashing down. He saw Riley, Passed out from the impact, and grabbed her, right before a shark. He returned to the surface ripping the surfing leash off her ankle, and pushed her board shore way. He swam fast, and ran into shark family member #3, who almost got to Riley's torso. Aka her heart and lungs, which could- I mean would have killed her."

There were tears building in my eyes, as I wondered what happened to my best friends, and if I just lost both of them. Maca smirked, and continued.

" Connor risked his life for her and swam in front of her, leaving one arm for the shark." I look over and Connor was awake, and looking at his left, now prosthetic arm, from the elbow down. He turned, and listened, as Maca finished the story. " Connor swam back as fast as he could, but passed out a few meters before they reached the shore."

I sat up confused, and I asked, " What happened to Rachael?" Maca, Ra-Ra, and Violet looked at me confused and Violet murmured loudly " what do you mean what happened to Rachael?" " I mean is she ok, did she survive, where is she ect.?" Maca walked over to me, and looked me in the eyes. The last words I would hear before I passed out were:

" Don't you remember, Rachael died 3 years ago."
