Chapter 4
Zoey looked up at the 'Con who entered the room. Her arms were bound with chains above her head as she hung about twenty-five feet above the ground. She was brought here by a couple of vehicons shortly after Megatron had walked out of the lab room. They had then brought her here, where they restrained her in midair before leaving. Zoey glared at Megatron as he walked forward, his optics narrowed in anger. She met his gaze evenly. "Where is the location of the Autobot base?" he asked. "Like I'll tell you," she replied. Megatron grabbed an Energon prod and it brushed against Zoey's arm, sending a voltage of shock through her. She gasped in pain as the prod was taken away from her. Megatron once again looked her in the eye. "Where is the Autobot base?" he asked, holding the prod in a threatening manner. "Like frag I will," Zoey replied. Megatron pressed the prod to her arm again, this time holding it for a second longer. This went on for the next hour or so, and by that time, Zoey was nearly unconscious. Megatron raised the prod again, when she cried, "Wait!" Megatron lowered the prod. "I-I'll tell you where the base is...." she whispered. Megatron leaned closer. "I'm listening," he replied.
"Decepticon signals in Russia?" Ratchet asked. The 'Bots walked forward, seeing the signals in the middle of Russia. "What are they doing in Russia?" Arcee asked. "It would appear Zoey has tricked the Decepticons into believing our base is located in Russia. This would be to draw the Decepticons out, provide a beacon for us to follow to her location," Optimus replied. "Well let's go crush some 'Cons and get Zoey back!" Bulkhead exclaimed. "You must be careful. There is bound to be many 'Cons there, and our Energon supplies are nearly depleted. If there were to be serious injuries-" Ratchet cut off. The 'Bots looked down at the ground. This could be their one chance to save Zoey from the 'Cons without losing something in return, but if they did take it, what consequences would they suffer? "Well, I'm going to save her. I don't care if I have to go alone or not, she's going to suffer the consequences of lying if we don't save her," Smokescreen said. The 'Bots thought about how Zoey would suffer. If they didn't rescue her, she'd pay the ultimate price. Megatron could take her life. And if the 'Bots could do anything about it, they would have to try and prevent it.
"Ratchet, open the Groundbridge," Optimus said. Ratchet opened the Groundbridge without a word and the 'Bots ran through the portal. They were met instantly by the sight of the 'Cons scouring the frozen landscape for the base that was supposedly there. "Well well well look at what we have here. The Autobots trying to make it seem like their base isn't here," Megatron said, looking down at the 'Bots. "Where is Zoey?" Smokescreen asked, glaring at Megatron. "Why she's on the Nemesis. I honestly was surprised when she broke and told us the location of our base. She's so small and weak, I expected her to break much sooner," Megatron replied. Smokescreen's optics narrowed in anger. He was angry, and he was going to save Zoey no matter what it took. A battle broke out between the 'Bots and 'Cons. Arcee and Smokescreen snuck onboard the Nemesis but were quickly found and knocked out by the cherry-red 'Con. Bulkhead had snuck on as well, and he managed to send the 'Con running and grab his two friends and get off the ship just in time for the Groundbridge to open up. The 'Bots were forced to retreat, their journey fruitless and with many wounds, Smokescreen's being the most severe.
The 'Cons quickly figured out the Autobot base wasn't hidden in Russia. This sent Megatron into an angered frenzy. He stomped through the halls of the Nemesis to the interrogation room where Zoey was. She looked up and saw Megatron standing there, and he looked angry. She smirked. "Did you find them?" she asked innocently. Megatron grabbed an energon prod and shoved it into her arm, making Zoey scream in pain. He removed the prod and turned back to Knockout. "Test Energon on her. I want her to suffer the consequences slowly and painfully," Megatron ordered. He left the room, leaving Knockout alone to test the effects of Energon in a human's system. He took a vial and filled it with Energon before placing the needle just on a vein in the crook of Zoey's arm. With a smirk, he pushed the needle through the girl's skin and injected the liquid into her blood system. Knockout then looked over his datapad which showed all her systems to see what the Energon did. What it did next surprised him. All the scars and wounds she had had most of the Energon rush to them, the rest went to her head. Specifically, her ears and eyes. Her wounds and scars faded before his very optics, while her already-Energon blue eyes gained an Energon blue glow as a small metal plate coated the edge of her ears.
Instantly Knockout what intrigued by his findings. He injected more Energon into her veins, and this time the Energon went to her legs and feet, transforming them. Knockout repeated this process until Zoey was what looked like a mini version of a Cybertronian. She now wore a metal plating that looked like a dress with long sleeves down to her wrists and the dress itself went to about mid-thigh. The dress itself was lilac with Energon blue accents. Then her legs were plated by leggings that were the Energon blue color with white accents. Her boots went up to just below her knees and were the same lilac color as her dress with the same Energon blue accents. Her hands now were white with Energon blue accents. Her face was now covered by a mask that was white with lilac and Energon blue accents. Her orange hair was now braided down her back and covered in metal (Picture above. Credit goes to who made the base, but the overall clothing design belongs to me). "By the Allspark......" Knockout whispered. He did a quick scan over Zoey and looked at the results. "Lord Megatron!" he called, running out of the room, leaving Zoey alone. The mask over Zoey's face retracted and revealed her human face. The braid down her back also lost its metal covering. Tears fell down her cheeks. She believed she was human for her whole life, but now what was she? Definitely something other than human. Something with a human half.
"-she's now a Techno-Organic."
Zoey looked up and saw Megatron walk in with Knockout. Instantly their optics widened. "By the Allspark. This is unheard of," Megatron muttered. "That is why I'm trying to figure out her lineage. Perhaps knowing her past can help us figure out how she is a Techno-Organic and what use she can be to us," Knockout said. After another scan, he gasped. "What is it?" Megatron asked. "The scan provided results of her family. Apparently, her carrier is deceased, as well as her sire," Knockout started. "Well? Who are they?" Megatron demanded. Knockout gulped. "Th-They are Chromia and Ironhide," he gasped. Instantly Megatron's optics widened. "Optimus's weapons specialist and his sparkmate are her parents?" he asked. "Yes," Knockout replied. "Then how is she part human?" Megatron asked. "That is what is confusing me. There is no human in her lineage, yet she appears as a human in front of us. This is something that I have to search into more," Knockout replied. "Well, do so. And when you find out something, tell me immediately," Megatron said, walking out of the room with Knockout following. Zoey turned to look at her right hand. She couldn't think about her past now. She had to escape.
Closing her eyes, she concentrated. It took a few moments before her right servo had turned into a small sword, much like Optimus's. Zoey quickly cut the chains holding her right arm up before turning to her left arm. She reached her right arm over to her left side and cut the chains, making her fall to the ground. Of course, because of her now enhanced limbs, she didn't sprain or break anything. Zoey then turned and entered an air duct, intent on finding a way off that Primus-forsaken ship. After some wandering around, she came to a large room full of Energon. The Decepticon's supply on the ship. With a smirk, she turned her right servo into a small machine and aimed it at a pile of Energon. She fired the machine and instantly the Energon shrunk. With a smile she collected all of the Energon in the storage room this way, putting it into the pockets on her belt. After leaving not a single shard of Energon in the room, she went back into the air ducts, wandering around until she came to the bridge of the ship. There she saw Knockout standing next to Megatron, speaking about something. Curious, Zoey snuck closer to hear what they were saying.
"-Techno-Organics are the rarest creatures ever known. Only one of two ways can one be created. The first way being one of her parents is a Cybertronian, the other a human. But this has never ever been proven, as no Cybertronian has fallen in love with a human. However, the other way is for both parents to be Cybertronian, and the sparkling is then injected with human DNA or the other way around. This has only been used about once in history, hence why it has been proven to work. But, other than that, Techno-Organics have been proven to be very powerful, although the full extent of their power has not yet been found out," Knockout explained. Megatron looked thoughtful for a moment. "So, is there any way to control one?" he asked. Knockout looked through the information on the datapad before coming to stop. "It says here, 'There is almost no possibility of ever hoping to control a Techno-Organic. They are programmed with such free will, they will do anything to accomplish something that is right. This, of course, can lead to frequent conflict with leaders. But, if convinced a certain way is right, they will follow that way, believing it is right when it could be wrong. This is easy to do in a young one, but one who knows their priorities is much trickier. To change their views is to present them a situation where their mind becomes broken down, so much to the point where they can barely register simple things around them. This can then-' " Knockout cut off.
The ship's lights went out. Anything needing a secure connection to the ship was shut off, including Knockout's datapad. "What happened?!" Megatron ordered. "The ship's connections have been shut off. There has been interference on the ship," a vehicon replied. "Who would dare-" Megatron cut off. Instantly he started running for a specific room with Knockout close behind. When they reached the room the door opened, revealing the restraints empty of a prisoner. The ship was then put on lockdown. But that didn't mean the air ducts were locked. Zoey had ripped apart some connection links for the ship, rendering it and anything that was connected to the ship useless. "Try fixing that ya moron," Zoey muttered with a smirk. She put her mask on over her face, which prompted her braid to be covered by the metal as well. She walked out of the air ducts and came to a large interface. Zoey managed to pull herself up to the keyboard and she looked at the letters. It was all in Cybertronian, but she could easily understand it. With a smirk, she started typing on the keyboard until she came to a final screen. 'Start transmission?' it read. She pressed a button and the transmission started to go through.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" she asked. "Identify yourself," a familiar, baritone voice replied. "Optimus! Oh, thank the Allspark! It's me, Zoey!" Zoey exclaimed. "Zoey?!" another voice asked. It sounded more like Bulkhead. "Zoey, how did you escape?" Optimus asked. "Ummm, story for another time. Now, I'm going to turn off the ship's cloaking device. Send me a Groundbridge," Zoey replied. "Alright. But how are you going to-" Optimus started. "Done! Send me a Groundbridge, please!" Zoey quickly said after pressing some buttons. Instantly her location appeared on the screens back at the Autobot base. Optimus's optics widened for a second. How did she manage to turn off the cloaking shields so quickly? And while the screen was in Cybertronian? But he shook off the thought as he locked onto Zoey's coordinates, not questioning why she suddenly appeared on the screen and sending a Groundbridge. The Groundbridge opened up in front of Zoey and she heard a shout behind her. Turning around revealed a very angry gray mech with blazing red eyes. With a smirk and small two-fingered salute, she jumped through the Groundbridge.
The 'Bots and humans all watched the Groundbridge anxiously. Before it closed, a small robot jumped through. Instantly the 'Bots aimed their blasters at her. That wasn't Zoey. "Whoa whoa whoa! Why are you all aiming your blasters at me?!" she exclaimed. Her voice was the same. "You aren't Zoey. You're some robot made by Megatron to fool us!" Bulkhead exclaimed. "By the Allspark....." she muttered. The mask on her face retracted, revealing to the 'Bots her real face. "Now will you put your blasters down, and I can explain?" she asked.
