"WHAT!?" everyone exclaimed. "How do you know?" Ratchet asked. "Alpha Trion revealed its location to me during the message conveyed by the Star Saber," Optimus replied, picking up the Forge and walking away to the Groundbridge. "And you didn't think to tell us," Ratchet muttered. "Alpha Trion did not wish it so," Optimus replied. He placed the Forge down and kneeled down to the Groundbridge panel. "With the Forge of Solus Prime, we now possess the means of reaching Cybertron. I must work quickly for our tactical advantage over Megatron will not last long," Optimus said. He began to work while the others went to do what they wanted. The kids were back home, probably in school. Zoey had been taken to a small house Fowler had set aside for her that way she didn't have to live with the 'Bots or her adoptive parents and could focus on her studies via a laptop. "Is it my imagination, or has Optimus been acting differently since that message from Alpha Trion?" Arcee asked. "I mean, he did keep secrets from us," Bee said. "Yeah, he has been keeping things from us," Bulkhead agreed. "Even Ratchet's out of his way," Jazz agreed. "Well give me one good reason Optimus can't trust his own teammates. Why he couldn't have told us about the Omega Lock," Bulkhead said. "Because if he had, Megatron would've pulled it out of my head with his 'patch'," Smokescreen replied. "Like it matters. The 'Cons are holding all the keys anyway," Bulkhead muttered. 

A few hours later, Ratchet was adjusting the controls for the Groundbridge. "Yet another astonishing convergence of magic and science. Courtesy of the ancients," Ratchet said. "And our leader," Smokescreen added. "It's hard to believe just a few swings of that hammer and BAM!" Bulkhead exclaimed. "Our Groundbridge is now a Spacebridge," Arcee finished. A warning came on the screen. "Our sensors are detecting a massive Energon burst occurring outside Earth's atmosphere. A surge of that kind can only mean one thing: Activation of another Spacebridge," Ratchet said. "Megatron has discovered that the Omega Lock is on Cybertron," Optimus said. "It appears we have lost our advantage," Ratchet replied. "But with Megatron unaware that we now possess the means of interstellar travel, the element of surprise remains in our favor. We must embark on this mission with every resource at our disposal," Optimus said. The 'Bots went down to the storage area of the Iacon relics and grabbed one each. They were about to head through the Spacebridge when they heard something pounding. "What's he forging now?" Bulkhead asked. The 'Bots stopped and turned around to see Optimus walk into the main room, now holding a repaired Star Saber.

"Megatron must be stopped no matter the cost," he said, transforming and rolling through the Spacebridge with the others following except Ratchet. They began their journey to the Omega Lock. Back at base, Ratchet was monitoring communications systems for any word from Optimus. Ratchet heard the sound of someone trying to contact the base and he instantly answered it. "Optimus?" he asked. "Uh, no, Ratchet. It's Jack. Is something wrong? 'Cause school's been out for almost an hour and no one showed to pick us up," Jack replied. "That's because the entire team is rather indisposed at the moment. I suggest you obtain an alternate method of transport. Just go home. I will be in touch later," Ratchet replied, ending the call. Jack looked up at Raf and Miko. "Looks like the 'Bots are busy," he said. "Wait, what about Zoey?" Raf asked. "Yeah! Call her and she'll come pick us up," Miko replied. Jack scrolled through his contacts until he came to Zoey. He called her and a few moments later she picked up. "Hey, Jack. What's up?" she asked. "Hey Zoey, listen, can you pick Miko, Raf, and me up from school. The 'Bots are busy," Jack replied. "Sure thing. I just finished my studies for the day so I'll be there in a bit!" Zoey said. "Thanks," Jack replied. "No problemo!" Zoey said, ending the call.

The Decepticons were walking forward when all of a sudden they began being shot down by Smokescreen. He ran in for another attack before running away, phasing through a wall. More 'Cons were crushed by Bumblebee using the gravitational device. They shot at Bee who retreated, and then Bulkhead used the stasis prod to send multiple 'Cons into stasis. Bee joined Bulk and the two ran at the Decepticons, blasting them with their blasters. Arcee jumped down from a perch and put on the Apex armor before running at the 'Cons with Bee and Bulk. Smokescreen phased through the floor and joined the others, blasting the 'Cons. The 'Bots split up and tried to get to the keys, punching or blasting through any 'Cons that blocked their way. Optimus joined the others with Ironhide, Drift, and Jazz. Optimus locked swords with Megatron. "I bested your blade once, I will do it again!" Megatron said. The two locked in their sword fight while the Decepticons tried to defend the Omega Keys. Bulkhead put the 'Cons holding the keys in stasis and Bee used the gravitational device to grab the keys. Arcee, Smokescreen, Ironhide, and Drift all caught one. Only then did the Autobots retreat, heading toward the Omega Lock. But not before Smokescreen activated the spark extractor.

The 'Bots reached the coordinates and transformed. "Our head start won't last long," Arcee said. "This is where Alpha Trion said we'd find it, right?" Smokescreen asked. "These are the coordinates," Jazz replied. They came to a small device in the middle of nowhere. "Doesn't look like much," Ironhide said. Optimus moved some dust from a part of the machine, revealing the mark of the Omega Lock. "Ratchet, we have located the Omega Lock," Optimus said over the commlink. "At last," Ratchet breathed a sigh of relief. "According to Alpha Trion, the Omega Lock is a conduit to the very Allspark itself," Optimus said. "Optimus, an honor like this shouldn't belong to me," Smokescreen said, walking up to Optimus and holding out his Omega Key. It started glowing and vibrating, making their optics widen. A glowing came from the machine and lines spread out from it. A huge machine started to form around them before coming together at the top, making a large hole, filled with some strange, glowing blue liquid that didn't seem to fall to the ground.

That's when the Autobots saw Megatron flying toward them. They ran forward, grabbing their weapons, intent on defending the Omega Lock. Megatron transformed and walked forward. "Autobots, I would suggest that you put a halt to your task and hand over those keys," Megatron said. "And why would we do that?" Smokescreen asked. A Spacebridge appeared behind Megatron and three forms walked out. Knockout, Starscream, and Soundwave. They all held a glass canister in their servos. The Spacebridge closed behind the 'Cons and they stopped about fifteen feet behind Megatron. "So that I may hand over the humans," Megatron replied. "And if we refuse?" Optimus asked. Megatron walked forward until he was standing right in front of Optimus. "Then I will have no choice but to open the pods, exposing your pets to Cybertron's toxic atmosphere. Then we can all watch them instantly perish, together," Megatron replied.
