Blue / Remember to Die , Remember to Live
Is it romantic how all my elegies eulogize me? I'm not cut out for all these cynical clones, these hunters with cell phones. Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die. I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I'm setting off, but not without my muse.
The Lakes ✹ Taylor Swift
The crinkle of paper pulls the woman out of her thoughts, her eyes on the man. Her friend. She, who shall soon only be a faded memory to him. He, who has seen her future, and shall be haunted by it. His pleads for her to stay safe, to continue on in life, fall upon deaf ears, her haunting smile etched into her face. Another voice, one that haunts her, shall tell her that she will die soon. Everything that has been built, will have been for nothing. The monsoon shall be upon them in time—Levana Vaida's children will be the death upon her, in record time. Her children shall inherit the storms she can create, will inherit the flames of their father. Their anger shall be inherited—everything that they are will never be their true self, shall only be inherited. They are not people. They are the reminiscences of their parent's anger, pieces of the plan that shall soon be upon them.
Levana Vaida is the beginning. Her children shall become the end, shall save the world as they destroy themselves. Her children were not made for this world—destined for something greater, yet torn down by shackles of grief. Shackles of guilt, and ones that shall stain their family legacy. The storms that sit in the palm of her hand are the freedom from these burdens, though shall be the opposite for her children. The art of freedom shall be a dream to them—one they can never achieve, their lives tied down by their mother's mistakes. Tied down by their father's plans. There is no world where her children will be safe from harm. No, they are the middle, and they shall be the end. Her hands, scarred from memories, will try to hold their lives together, with no hope of escape. Levana Vaida is a bomb, and one that shall go off soon.
Even as they plead to her, her disappearance will be soon. Close enough, where Levana Vaida will just be a faded memory. Maybe she shall never die—just fade into the stars, and watch over her children from afar. Watch the way they grow, and watch the way they are destined for death. Her husband shall as well, shall watch his plans for destruction burn, just like his children. They were not made for this world—something greater, or something worse, shall never be known. To storm or flame, the world shall fall. The children of the four elements shall try to oppose that, as their life draws to a close. Their blood will stain the ground for centuries, a hand lifted into the air, hoping for another chance at life.
Her friends shall hope for a better life for her. "Please don't do this!" A man cries, his hands on her shoulders. His office is destroyed by grief, tears flowing down his face, hitting her destroyed costume. "I've seen how this will end! You were made for more!" His words, though, shall carry no weight. Levana Vaida knows what destiny was, and knows what she must do. She shall soon be a ghost, and one that shall haunt him, until he finds her in the world. (Until he finds her daughter, so strikingly similar to her mother, haunted by her own ghosts.) Others shall try with her—why can't she listen to them? Why must this be the end? "I was not made for this world." She answers, her words too simple, yet too unclear. So much to process, without the time to do it.
Levana Vaida's eldest shall be made for destruction. Their faces shall watch the youngest, as they all die at one time. One shall drown. So young, and yet she shall come back. One shall fall from so far, trying to reach the stars—though, she is not the Icarus of the family. The other shall disappear, just like his mother. (Do not search for him—he is already gone.) Every memory they have shall be lost, locked away so no one shall get hurt.
The Vaida family was not made for this world. They shall never fully be apart of it.
Sereia Vaida is six years old when she first dies. The element of water—once her ally, shall become the opposite, and shall hold her until she passes away. The element of change shall change her, turn her into her mother. Halfway to death, she shall arise from the water, and cry tears of blood. A small strand of her hair shall turn silver, a mark that shall haunt her at night—death would near its head towards her another day, but for now, she was safe. Voices shall speak to her on occasion—she is the angel of the family, the one that shall save their legacy of death. "Do not listen to them!" Her sister may scream (or maybe her mind is at war—Sereia has not been normal for some time.) "They shall mislead you!"
She has been misled her entire life. The elements, ones she saw as pure, shall become evil in her hands. Soon, blood shall become as normal as water, just another thing she can control. Sereia Vaida is not evil, though her fall from grace shall be monumental. She cannot be saved, as much as they all believe her to. Death will take over her body, slowly, though it shall destroy any piece of her. Everything she has built shall be destroyed, only for the world to be saved. That is her destiny—to watch others succeed, where she shall fall. The world has been waiting for this, and she shouldn't waste time.
Can she become a hero? Can her heart be as true as her words once were? The angel of the family has fallen from grace—has turned herself into an Icarus, drowning in her own blood. Her wings have ripped themselves from her body, destroying herself from the inside. Sereia Vaida is a shell of herself, gaining the burdens of her family. Everything shall hurt, her mind turning itself into ruin as she tries to save herself. (One day, she will realize that it is in vain—that she is born to fall underneath the water, her hands trying to save her.) No one can change fate. Not when it is written in the stars, ready to take action.
No, she cannot be saved. Her fate, destiny, shall be the loss of her life. Even when those around her promise to save her, it shall never be enough. (Her older sister, who will do her best to save her, only for it to be futile. Her teacher, who shall hold her close as she cries, knowing her future. Her friends, who shall see her broken body, trying to reach for the stars.) No one can save her—she is too far gone. Death shall near its head soon, too many times for her to understand. Is it a curse? A blessing? Something close, yet too far away to be accepted. Sereia Vaida will change, just as water, screaming for a girl who has been lost.
Yet, there he stands. Many have tried to help—she is beyond it. She has been misled through her pains, growing with them, instead of forgetting them. He stands amongst the few, a hand out, hoping she will take it—a hand out, there to help her. He stands amongst the winds, her body drenched from the cool water beneath her. A hand out, hoping she can see him. Her own watches it, carefully, as though she were ready to be berated. In another life, he shall find her before her first death—shall hold her hand tightly, watch as she does magnificent things with her skills. In another life, Sereia Vaida will not be a curse, where he is a blessing. Her fingers shall brush against his hand, slowly reaching for it. Her sister's voice shall quiet down. Shall lose all its fight, all the anger that once was—now becoming understanding. Something akin to relief.
Sereia Vaida was born to die, but Izuku Midoriya will do everything he can to prevent that.

☆; i dont rlly like the mood boards but that's ok...love them tho...they're my sillies 🙁
☆; legacy of death vs symbol of hope oh grumpy x sunshine trope you will always be famous to me
☆; "I feel nothing" vs "i feel everything" is so izuku n sereia coded...ur honor i love them ☹️☹️☹️
☆; i haven't decided the ending for this fic yet. idk if i want it to be canon divergent to the actual mha ending, or whatever.
☆; SOMETHING TO KNOW !! i write VERY long chapters (at least 8k words) this fic has five chapters already written, and the shortest is 8k words. just to let everyone know (meaning that arcs will be around half the length they alr are—usj is two chapters, sports fest is rn two chapters but will prob end up being like five or six)
☆; ABOUT THE OC—
so sereia's quirk is elemental control—pretty much avatar coded, so that's some of the visuals that'll be used for the fic. though, water is the element she used the MOST. the others don't appear until later (air first, and i haven't decided the order of the rest) while the quirk is very powerful, there's drawbacks for each of them. water, she'll feel dehydrated. air, she'll feel lightheaded. earth, she'll get headaches and her body will ache. fire, her body will feel overheated.
she's similar to todoroki in their family dynamics, where her parents marriage was the result of a quirk marriage. sereia doesn't really know much about either of her parents (mainly being raised by her sister.) her sister is a pro hero—number four—and so the family is kind of well off yk. obviously, the family dynamics r different in their own ways though, as sereia n todoroki were raised differently (cuz yk...one of them died)
i rlly don't know what else to explain for her character or really. after writing the first five chapters and realizing she doesn't rlly talk that much...sports festival sereia you will always be famous to me...
