There was warmth and comfort. The sun was shining through the wall of windows, and Adrien Agreste found himself in his bed.

He sighed softly as he stretched, and he was mid-stretch when he remembered last night's activities.

"Plagg!" Adrien brings his hand up to see his ring is back on his finger. He looks around the bed now, moving the sheets and pillows to looks for the small cat kwami. "Plagg, where are you?"

"I'm over here."

Adrien looked to the sound of his voice, and he was greeted by the harsh sunlight. He shielded his eyes from the light until he adjusted to it, the shadow by the window coming into focus.

Adrien couldn't believe what he was seeing though. "Mama?"

Emilie turned to look at her son. The kitten kwami was being pampered in her hands. "Good morning, Adrien." She replies softly and goes to stand at the foot of his bed.

Adrien is rubbing his eyes, trying to wake himself up. Plagg flew over to him and went to pinch his arm, making Adrien flinch. "Ow! Plagg!" Adrien pouted, rubbing his arm.

"You're not dreaming! That's your real live mother right there!" Plagg sang, swaying in a side to side motion.

Adrien looked past Plagg, watching how his mother, Emilie Agreste, slowly sit at the foot of his bed. "I thought... I thought you were... Dead, or missing. What... Mama..." There was so many questions that needed to be answered.

"I know, and I'm sorry. A simple apology like that won't fix anything, or make up for the lost time, but—"

Emilie was interrupted by Adrien tackling her to the floor with a too powerful hug. The two of them land on the floor with a thud, that was promptly followed by laughter as they hugged.

"My darling boy," she murmured as they held each other, pressing kisses into his hair. "I'm so sorry I left you for so long."

Adrien let all affections come his way, much like Plagg had. "I accept your apology, mama, but..." he pulls away and they both get up, sitting at the foot of his bed. "I don't forgive you."

Emilie chuckled lightly, admiring his face. "Oh yeah? You don't forgive your mama dearest?" She questioned.

"Absolutely not." Sang Adrien. "And as punishment, you have to stay in my life until death does us part."

Emilie laughed. "A little morbid, but I think that's a reasonable punishment"

"Yeah, that's my bad, sorry." Plagg called from Adrien's desk, where he was stuffing his face with Camembert.

"Something tells me he's been a bit of a bad influence." Emilie sings.

"Who? Me? I'd never be a bad influence." Plagg waved dismissively.

Adrien scoffed. "You're the worst influence! Remember that time when Marinette—" Adrien paused and gasped suddenly. "Oh my god, Marinette!" He scrambled to get up, running out of his room and across the hall. He went into the room he had grown all too familiar with and opens the door.

When he went into the room, he was stunned to see it bare, but occupied. There were boxes throughout the room, stacked over each other. Drapes were placed over old picture frames, and various mannequins were around the room, unfinished designs that were left in the dusty, stale room.

Adrien turned back to look at the door, where his mother was standing. "She's not here anymore." She stated, holding up a pen. "You've got to go find her."

Adrien went up to her and looked down at the pen she offered, before looking up at her.

"Go on." She took his hand and set the pen in his open hand. "She's waiting for you."

He looked down at the pen and uncapped it, before turning his arm up to himself and putting the pen to his skin. "Marinette?"

Across the other side of Paris, a girl was stirring in her bed. The light that entered the room was soft, and the sweetest smells of bread filled her nose as she stretched.

And once she realize that these smells were somewhat unfamiliar and a little foreign for what should be the Agreste household, her eyes opened and she sat up.

She realized that she wasn't in the Agreste household. The more she looked around though, the more familiar the room looked.

"You are... Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Not Marinette Agreste." She quickly peeled off her covers and nearly fell out of her loft. She pulled up the trapdoor and was running down the stairs, when she stopped midway.

In front of her, at the foot of the staircase, was Sabine Cheng, who looked like she was on her way up. "Marinette?" She questioned.

Marinette gasped silently and she smiles. "Mama."

Sabine smile and they both rushed to hug each other, both of them in tears.

"Oh, my little girl, how much I've missed you." Sabine whispers.

"Oh mama, I'm so sorry. I'm so, so, so sorry." Marinette whispers back.

Memories filled her head. Being at the cathedral, Treble Maker... she was so weak and had her Miraculous taken from her.

Her Miraculous... Tikki.

Marinette pulled away with a gasp and looked back upstairs. "Mama," she touched her ears and felt the studded earrings. "Tikki."

Sabine watched Marinette in confusion and let her go, following after Marinette as she headed upstairs.

Marinette looked around the room, searching for the small kwami. "Tikki? Tikki, where are you?"

From her desk, a small, red creature with a black spot on its head swirled around her and ten stopped at her eye level. "Marinette!"

"Tikki!" Marinette cupped the kwami and brought her to her chest. "Tikki, I'm so sorry. I was so weak, and you got taken, and your power got abused." She sobbed softly. "I'm the worst Ladybug in all of your existence." She mumbled, falling to her knees.

Sabine, who had followed Marinette upstairs, knelt down beside her. "Honey, that's not true." She murmured. "Look at where we are now. This is home. Our real world." She said, rubbing her back in a comforting manner.

"You were the one to put a stop to Papillon, Marinette. You were the one to wish for the world to go back to normal!" Tikki said, coming out of Marinette's hand to float in front of her. "You're the best Ladybug I could have ever asked for." She went to Marinette's cheek, hugging the girl as much as she could with her small form.

Marinette cupped the little kwami to her cheek, sobbing softly.

"She's right, you know." Sabine reassures as she hugged her daughter. "You were amazing out there. And now, everything is back to normal. I have my little girl again."

After a couple more runs though the waterworks, Marinette properly introduced Tikki to her mama.

"Mama, I'm sorry I kept this secret from you, but... I'm Ladybug."

At this point, Sabine wasn't surprised anymore. "And you must be Tikki." She stated, looking down at the kwami in Marinette's hands.

Tikki gave a small bow. "How do you do?"

Sabine smiled. "Plagg told me a lot about you... When he wasn't swallowing down a wheel of camembert." She giggled.

Marinette's thoughts wandered off as her mother and Tikki continued to talk. She thought of the black kitten who strangely liked that stinky, runny cheese. She recalled that Adrien always asked for camembert, it was always such a strange request, but she never questioned it...

"Adrien!" She spoke suddenly. She needed to go see Adrien.

Marinette pushed herself to stand and she felt something on her arm. She rose her arm and looked down at the message written in soft green.

"Adrien," she smiled softly. "Mama, I've got to go see Adrien." She said, turning to her mother. Sabine nodded and motioned for her to go ahead. "Thanks, mama." She went to kiss her mother on the cheek before turning to Tikki.

"Tikki, transform me."

The magic she felt through her was warm, fuzzy, and nostalgic. She was happy to be in her familiar spotted suit.

"Wow." Ladybug turned back to face Sabine. "You really are Ladybug." Sabine murmured.

She rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, mama."

Sabine shook her head. "I understand your reasons. To keep your friends and family safe. You were such a good Ladybug... You are a good Ladybug." She stepped closer and brought the spotted heroine into an embrace.

"Thanks, mama." Ladybug replied as she gave her a squeeze. "I'll be back soon, okay?" Sabine nodded and ushered her to go.

Ladybug started to head up the loft and was about to head out the terrace door before stopping. She quickly went down the steps to give her mama a quick kiss on the cheek before heading out.

Jumping through the Parisian skyline with her yoyo was such a welcoming feeling that Ladybug would have liked to indulge more in, but right now, she had to meet someone.

Chat Noir made it to the Seine, when he noticed spots approaching. He stopped on one side of the Pont des Arts bridge, the other party stopping at the other end as well. It was surreal to see each other in this form. They stared at each other from across the bridge, trying to catch their breaths.

"Ladybug?" Chat called out.

"Chat Noir." Ladybug replied.

He smiled. "Plagg." One cue, Plagg dropped the transformation. "Marinette."

She let out a watery chuckle and she let her transformation down. "Adrien."

It took maybe five seconds for them to finally start running to each other, their kwamis already ahead of them, when they crash into each other.

They hold each other, each of them trying to hold each other tighter and tighter, Adrien chuckling while Marinette sniffled.

"You did it, Marinette, you really did it." He says, pulling away to look at her. He cups her cheeks and he wipes away at her tears. "You did it, princess." He repeats in a softer tone of voice.

Marinette chuckles weakly and she sniffles, before slapping Adrien on the arm lightly.

"Ow, Mari. Why do you keep hitting me?" He whines, rubbing his arm.

"For not telling me you were Chat Noir, for messing with my damn feelings the whole time." She mumbles, putting the butt of her palms to her eyes. "Honestly, I don't know how I didn't see it sooner." She shook her head.

"You wouldn't have." Plagg stated.

"The magic of the Miraculous makes you unable to connect the dots." Tikki explained.

Adrien hummed. "But Alya figured me out."

"Hello, have you met Alya?" Marinette asked.

"Point taken." Adrien agreed.

"Also, you were sloppy in keeping secret visits secret." Plagg sang.

Adrien waved his hand at him. "I wanted to tell you too, that I knew you were Ladybug, but... I was nervous." He replied.

"What! When?" Marinette exclaimed.

"On our trip to London. Do you remember Kirigami? And that blow you took? I wrote a message on your arm and you didn't notice me, but I saw my writing on your arm."

Marinette went to mock punch Adrien, but he laughed and dodged the blow. "And you continued to harass me!"

"I'm sorry, I was a fool in love and I didn't know if you would accept me as Chat Noir and Adrien." He explained.

"And I was worried out of my wits, thinking that you wouldn't be able to accept me as Ladybug." She replied.

"What? Why?" Adrien questioned.

"I mean, look at me? I'm just a regular baker's daughter, and a mediocre designer." She sighs, looking down at her hands.

"Marinette," he takes her hands and squeezes them gently. "You saved the city of Paris. You saved tons of people from akumas and returned the world to normal." Marinette sniffles, looking up at Adrien as he continued. "And mediocre designer? You won that designing competition back when you were fourteen! Also, not to mention, you were an Agreste fashion designer and working with my father."

Marinette chuckled softly before the thoughts of Gabriel went through their minds. "Adrien, we... Your father."

He squeezes her hands a little tighter and he nods. "I know. Let's go to my house."

The two of them transformed and they make it back to the Agreste Estate, hand in hand. The two stop a block away from the estate to detransform. They were walking the block to the estate, when a police patroller headed down to his home. They both looked at each other and picked up the pace.

When the two made it to the Agreste Estate, the two were surprised to see the whole front gate surrounded by police cars. They went through the cars and through the front gates, seeing Emilie standing at the top of the front staircase, next to the front door. The look she had on her face was distaste, almost disgust, as several officers were escorting Gabriel Agreste, in handcuffs, off the premises.

"Emilie." Marinette gasps softly.

Emilie looks over to the sound of her name and her expression softens. "Marinette." She smiles. She heads down the steps shortly after Gabriel is put into the back of a patroller. She was quick to scoop Marinette up into a hug. "I'm so happy to see you again." She murmured.

Marinette was surprised by her sudden display of affection, but she relaxed and hugged her back nonetheless. She glanced over at Adrien, who was watching Gabriel sitting in the back of the police patroller.

"Emilie, I..." She took in a deep breath. "I-I didn't know you would still be here, much less remember me." Marinette started when Emilie pulled away.

She smiled as she held Marinette by her shoulders. "Well, by the grace of those little ones, I still remember. The whole world remembers." She rubbed Marinette's shoulders gently and looks to her son. "Adrien."

He turns to his name, his expression unreadable. "Father, is he..." His voice trails off.

Emilie nods. "He's going to spend some time away from home." She replies softly. "Adrien?"

He looks up at her and she extends her arms to him. He gives a weak sound and goes to her arms, hugging her tightly.

"I'm sorry, my sunshine." She whispers, rubbing his back.

Marinette glances over at Gabriel, seeing his expressionless gaze had focused on his son and wife. Gabriel realizes that Marinette is watching and he looks down, to avoid her gaze.

It's strange, the feeling Marinette feels. She feels bad, guilty, because Adrien gains one parent while he loses another, but... Gabriel deserves to be punished, for what he's done to their friends, families and citizens of Paris.

Marinette turned back to Adrien and Emilie, joining in on their hug. "I'm sorry, Adrien." She murmurs softly.

Adrien sniffles and turns slightly, the two girls being prompted to let go. He wiped at his eyes an took in a shaky breath, before looking at the two of them. "As long as I have my two, very important ladies in my life, I think I'll be purrfect."

Emilie giggle and Marinette rolled her eyes, the three of them hugging.
