"Jungkook?" His heart clenched with a mixture of dread and determination recognised it was Jungkook. He approached him cautiously, his senses on high alert. With each cautious step, calling out Jungkook's name in a desperate attempt to rouse. But before he could reach his friend's side, a sudden impact sent shockwaves of pain coursing through his skull.
The force of the blow knocked Taehyung off balance, sending him crashing to the ground with a resounding thud. Stars danced before his eyes as he struggled to regain his bearings, his senses reeling from the sudden assault. The taste of blood filled his mouth, metallic and acrid, as he fought to push through the haze of pain that clouded his mind.
With a groan, Taehyung attempted to push himself up from the floor, his limbs heavy and unresponsive. The world spun dizzily around him, the distant sounds of chaos echoing in his ears as he fought to maintain consciousness. Every movement sent waves of agony rippling through his body.
Through the haze of pain, Taehyung's gaze flickered towards Jiwoo, his vision blurred and distorted. Shadows danced on the periphery of his vision as he struggled to focus, the figure looming over him a menacing silhouette in the dimly lit corridor. With a grim determination, Taehyung forced himself to remain alert, his instincts screaming at him to stay vigilant in the face of danger.
As Jiwoo's manic laughter reverberated through the air, Taehyung felt a surge of panic coursing through his veins, his heart hammering in his chest as he struggled to focus through the haze of pain and disorientation. The sensation of his hair being yanked roughly sent jolts of agony shooting through his skull, each movement intensifying the throbbing ache that pulsed through his head.
The world seemed to spin around him, his vision swimming in a blur of colors and shapes as he fought to stay conscious. Every breath felt like a laborious effort, his lungs burning with the exertion as he tried to summon the strength to resist his assailant's grip. But the overwhelming weight of his injuries bore down on him, dragging him further into the depths of darkness.
"Y/N! COME OUT OR I WILL KILL YOUR BOYFRIEND," Jiwoo's voice rang out, sharp and taunting, sending shivers down Taehyung's spine as he felt the cold edge of the knife pressing against his neck. The metallic tang of blood filled his senses, the blade poised menacingly against his skin, a silent threat of imminent danger.
In the midst of his torment, Taehyung's thoughts turned to Y/N, his heart clenching with fear at the thought of her facing such peril on his account. He longed for her safety, her presence a beacon of hope in the darkness that threatened to engulf him.
As if summoned by his desperate plea, Y/N's voice pierced through the chaos, her cries of anguish echoing through the space with haunting clarity. With a surge of determination, she raced towards him, her eyes wide with terror as she took in the scene unfolding before her.
"Taehyung!" Her voice was a desperate plea, filled with anguish and fear, her hands trembling with emotion. In that moment, their eyes met, a silent exchange of reassurance and solidarity passing between them amidst the chaos that surrounded them.
"Jiwoo... Please. I beg you. Don't hurt him. I will do anything. Please," Y/N pleaded, her voice trembling with desperation as tears welled up in her eyes, her heart wrenching at the sight of Taehyung in peril.
"Fine, you come to me and I will leave him," Jiwoo agreed with a chilling calmness, prompting Y/N to nod slowly as she approached her, her movements hesitant and filled with dread. But as she drew closer, Jiwoo's grip tightened around her hair, yanking her roughly towards her.
"You know how long I have wanted to kill you?" Jiwoo hissed, her voice laced with malice as she aimed the knife at Y/N, the glint of steel flashing in the dim light of the room. But before she could inflict any harm, Taehyung intervened, his sudden action catching Jiwoo off guard as he lunged forward, pulling her by her leg and causing her to tumble to the ground.
Despite his injury, Taehyung grappled with Jiwoo, his focus solely on disarming Jiwoo and protecting Y/N. Jiwoo, on the other hand, proved to be a formidable opponent, her skill with knives evident as she deftly maneuvered the weapon, aiming to strike at any opening.
Their struggle was intense, the air thick with tension as they clashed, each movement calculated and precise. Taehyung's hands trembled with exertion as he sought to wrest the knife from Jiwoo's grasp, his muscles straining with the effort. But Jiwoo was relentless, her grip on the weapon firm and unyielding as she fought to maintain control.
In a sudden, frantic motion, Taehyung managed to grasp Jiwoo's wrist, his fingers wrapping around hers in a desperate attempt to pry the knife away. But in the heat of the struggle, a moment of misfortune struck. With a sharp gasp, Jiwoo's hand slipped, the blade of the knife inadvertently piercing Taehyung's chest with a sickening thud.
Pain seared through Taehyung's body, his breath catching in his throat as blood spilled from the wound, staining his clothes crimson. A strangled cry escaped his lips, mingling with the metallic taste of blood as it pooled in his mouth, his vision swimming with agony and despair.
Y/N's heart clenched in horror as she witnessed the devastating turn of events, her hands trembling as she reached out to Taehyung, her voice choked with anguish. But before she could utter a word, the room seemed to blur around her, the world fading into darkness as the weight of the moment bore down upon her with crushing force.
With a fierce surge of anger, Y/N seized Jiwoo by the shoulders, their bodies colliding in a tumultuous clash of wills. Their movements were swift and unforgiving, each strike fueled by the intensity of their emotions. Jiwoo fought back with equal ferocity, her determination matched only by her desperation to overpower Y/N.
Their fight was a whirlwind of motion, limbs thrashing and fists flying as they grappled for dominance. Y/N's muscles strained with exertion as she delivered a series of punishing blows, each strike aimed with precision and purpose. But Jiwoo proved to be a formidable adversary, her reflexes honed by years of pent-up rage and resentment.
In a decisive moment, Y/N landed a powerful blow to Jiwoo's midsection, causing her to stagger backward with a gasp of pain. Seizing the opportunity, Y/N pressed her advantage, delivering a rapid succession of strikes that drove Jiwoo to the brink of defeat.
But just as victory seemed within reach, Jiwoo summoned a final surge of strength, launching herself forward with renewed determination. With a sudden burst of energy, she lashed out at Y/N with a vicious strike, catching her off guard and sending her reeling backward.
As Y/N struggled to regain her footing, Jiwoo seized the opportunity to mount one last desperate attack. But before she could strike, Yoongi intervened with lightning speed, intercepting Jiwoo's advance and sending her crashing to the ground with a resounding thud.
Breathless and shaken, Y/N looked on in astonishment as Yoongi stood before her, his gaze unwavering as he shielded her from further harm.
But to their dismay she got up again. As Jiwoo attempt to launch herself at Y/N once again, the tension in the room reached a fever pitch. "I won't let you..." she hissed through gritted teeth, her voice laced with desperation and fury.
But before she could reach her target, a gunshot shattered the air, piercing the silence with its deafening roar. Namjoon's aim was true as the bullet found its mark, striking Jiwoo with lethal precision.
For a brief, surreal moment, Jiwoo hung suspended in the air, her eyes wide with shock as the force of the impact sent her spiraling to the ground. "....live," she gasped, her final words a chilling echo of the darkness that had consumed her.
As Y/N glanced briefly at the lifeless form of Jiwoo, a surge of conflicting emotions washed over her. She felt a mixture of relief and sorrow, knowing that Jiwoo's reign of terror had finally come to an end, yet grappling with the weight of the tragedy that had unfolded.
Her focus quickly shifted back to Taehyung, who lay prone on the ground, his pale complexion stark against the backdrop of crimson blood seeping from his wound. Jimin's anguished cries pierced the air as he desperately tried to staunch the bleeding, his hands trembling with fear and uncertainty. Y/N collapsed onto the floor beside him, her heart heavy with anguish and fear. She felt his hand gently intertwine with hers, his touch offering a faint reassurance amidst the turmoil.
"Y/N... Why are you crying?" Taehyung's voice was soft, his gaze searching hers as he struggled to understand her emotional turmoil.
"I- Taeh-" Y/N's voice faltered, choked with tears as she grappled with the overwhelming flood of emotions threatening to consume her.
"I am alright... It's just a scratch." Taehyung's attempt at levity was met with a weak smile from Y/N, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. Despite his efforts to reassure her, she couldn't shake the fear gnawing at her heart, the uncertainty of what lay ahead casting a shadow over her fragile hope.
"Jimin." Taehyung called as Jimin looked at him, his hands still pressing against the wound as he tried to not break down in front of him.
"Yah, we are friends now, right? We won't fight anymore, right?" Taehyung asked as tears blurred Jimin's vision as he hear those words, his heart heavy with regret and sorrow. He nodded, his voice choked with emotion.
"Yeah, we're friends, Tae. No more fighting," Jimin whispered, his voice trembling as he struggled to maintain composure. The weight of their past conflicts felt unbearable in this moment of vulnerability.
"Why are you all looking like this? Huh? We finally won, guys. We found the killer," Taehyung said, his voice tinged with a mixture of relief and desperation, as he attempted to uplift their spirits amidst the heavy atmosphere. But they stood in silence, grappling with the weight of recent events, unsure of how to respond to Taehyung's attempt to inject optimism into their midst.
"Namjoon ssi, Jaemin, guys... I am fine- I- just smile," he continued, his voice faltering slightly as he sought to convince both himself and his companions of his well-being. Despite his efforts to maintain composure, the vulnerability in his eyes betrayed the facade he attempted to uphold, revealing the inner turmoil bubbling beneath the surface.
"Jungkook." Taehyung's voice cracked as he called out to Jungkook, a mix of sadness and resignation evident in his tone.
"Yes, hyung," Jungkook replied, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Yah, How many times should I tell you I am not your hyung?" Taehyung's attempt at lightening the mood was met with a brief chuckle from both of them, but tears still streamed down Jungkook's face as he fell to his knees.
"I am going to die, right Jungkook?" Taehyung's voice wavered with a mix of resignation and disbelief, a faint chuckle escaping him, though it was devoid of humor.
As Taehyung's gaze drifted to his trembling hand, clasped tightly around Y/N's, he felt a surge of determination wash over him.
"Y/N... Can you promise me something?" he implored, his voice steady despite the turmoil within. Y/N nodded, her eyes met his, reflecting a mixture of fear and unwavering resolve.
"Promise me you won't blame yourself if something happens to me," he pleaded, his gaze locking onto hers with unwavering intensity.
"Tae- Taehyung- " Y/N stammered, her voice choked with emotions as her heart aching at his request.
"Promise me, Y/N," Taehyung insisted, the weight of his words hanging heavily in the air.
"I- I promise," Y/N whispered, her voice barely audible above the din of their racing hearts, as she fought to steady her trembling hands.
"I love you, Y/N... I loved you in the past, in the present, and until my last breath," he said, his voice heavy with emotion, his words hanging in the air like a bittersweet melody. His painful smile tugged at Y/N's heartstrings, the sincerity in his eyes piercing through her with its intensity. As he slowly closed his eyes, his hand slipped from hers, falling away like a gentle whisper in the wind.
Y/N's breath caught in her throat as she watched him, a knot of horror tightening in her chest. The finality of his words echoed in her mind, reverberating with a haunting clarity that left her paralyzed with grief.
Jungkook's sudden movement snapped her out of her trance-like state, his hands reaching out to check for a pulse, his movements frantic yet precise. But as he sat down beside him, his body frozen in space, silent tears streaming down his face, Jungkook's silent tears spoke volumes, conveying a depth of pain that words could never express. Y/N felt her own tears welling up, blurring her vision with a veil of sorrow.
"J-Jungkook, l-let's take him to the hospital. H-he is unconscious. W-we have to h-hurry-" Y/N's voice quivered with urgency, her words barely coherent as panic threatened to consume her.
But before she could finish her sentence, Jungkook's somber declaration cut through the air like a knife, his words heavy with finality.
"He is gone," he said, his gaze locking onto hers with a heartbreaking intensity, his own tears betraying the depth of his pain.
"W-what?" Y/N's voice trembled with disbelief, her mind struggling to comprehend the enormity of what Jungkook had just said.
"H-hyung is gone, Y/N. Forever," Jungkook's voice cracked as he spoke, his shoulders shaking with the weight of his sorrow.
The words struck Y/N like a thunderbolt, a wave of numbness washing over her as the reality of Taehyung's passing sank in.
"No... It can't be. H-he can't leave me. I-I-" Y/N's voice faltered as she broke down, her sobs echoing in the empty space around them, her heart shattered into a million pieces.
Others around them crumpled to the floor, their cries mingling with Y/N's in a symphony of grief. In that moment, they were all united in their pain, bound together by the loss of someone truly precious to them.
Sunho looked on from afar as he was getting arrested. The weight of guilt bore down on him like a heavy burden, his heart heavy with remorse for the role he had played in the tragedy unfolding before him. Tears streamed down his cheeks unchecked, mirroring the sorrow that enveloped his soul as he walked alongside one of the officers, his steps heavy with the weight of his conscience.
Meanwhile, Y/N sat amidst the somber scene, her mind consumed by memories of Taehyung.

"WHY DO YOU CARE? YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND-"
"BECAUSE I STILL FUCKING LOVE HER!"
***
"I AM TIRED TOO Y/N. I AM FUCKING TIRED OF THIS. I AM TIRED OF ACTING LIKE I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. I AM TIRED OF BEING A JERK, WHO DOESN'T HAVE THE GUTS TO TELL MY GIRLFRIEND THAT I AM STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU AND NOT HER."
"I love you, Y/N. In the past, in the present, and in the future! You are the only one in my life. N- no one can ever replace you."
"Can't you give us another chance?"
***
"You alright?"
No, I am not, Y/N."
"I don't care if something happens to me, Y/N. I want you to be safe."
"I am sorry, Y/N. I felt that I couldn't breathe without it. I promise, it will be our last kiss."
***
"I love you Y/N... in the past, in the present and until my last breath."

As Y/N sat there, her gaze fixed upon his lifeless form, a whirlwind of emotions engulfed her. Regret gnawed at her heart, each pang a reminder of the precious moments she had let slip through her fingers. If only she could turn back the hands of time, she thought, if only she could rewrite their story with a newfound appreciation for every fleeting second.
The weight of his love, now fully realized in the wake of his passing, pressed upon her like a heavy burden. She had been blind to it, oblivious to the depth of his affection that had always been there, steadfast and unwavering. Now, in the stillness of the moment, she understood the magnitude of his love, stretching across time and space, transcending life itself.
In the silence that enveloped her, now she knows... That he loved her, loved her more than anyone in the world... In the past, In the present and until his last breath.
