(Sonic's POV)

The next day near 4pm and the sun was setting down a little, I talked to the chief about Amelia and how well we got along and that Iris chose me as her new daddy. Of course, he chuckled that I was wrong that a girl would never like me and that he was right.

"Okay, you were right and I was wrong. It's not that we are Romeo and Juliet. I'm just a friend, that's all." I said while eating corn that the Indian ladies picked out from their corn field.

"You're doing the right thing comforting a lonely woman and her child." The chief said.

"Yeah but it's not like we are married and the baby still like an angel softening my cold heart." I said and tossed my eaten corn cob away.

"You aren't that always cold." The chief said.

"Mostly I am because I kill vampires as a hobby of my own." I said, referring to my daily routine of killing vampires for revenge and justice.

"And hobbies can change over time. You found a new hobby of getting to know her and her baby." He said.

"True, but even if we've fell in love, she will grow old and die like every mortal life cycle goes and I just remain an immortal hybrid forever." I said as the ladies brought in dessert from the city. Yummy vanilla sundae, my favorite.

"Have you accidentally turned a victim into like you?" The chief asked.

"No but I don't know if a hybrid like me can because only vampires can. You know what happens when a victim gets bitten by a vampire, they lose their soul." I said, almost feeling my brain freeze from the cold sundae.

"Turning someone else to a dhampir is difficult or almost impossible." The chief said.

"And I don't wanna do that to anyone. I just simply bite the vampires' neck, drink their blood and then kill them. I don't go for the blood of the living because that would be stuck in my blood lust. So, only vampire blood is my lust." I said, finishing my sundae.

"Got it. Well your friend Tails is not bothered of having an immortal friend." He said.

"He's used to it as always for years as I watch him grow up. Well, now that I ate normal food, time for this dhampir to hunt vampires. See you around, chief." I said as I put my cloak on and head out of his huge tipi tent.

Please no more female vampires because they get on my nerves a lot and I hate to lose my temper whenever they seduce me with their annoying charms. Tails said he was working on a device that can detect supernatural like vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and monsters but he hasn't finished it yet; hopefully the device will come in handy because vampires are very hard to detect and because they don't have a pulse nor body heat.

"HEY YOU SON OF A BITCH!! BURN IN HELL!!!!" A vampire brown hedgehog came out of nowhere with a sword and almost took my head off when I rolled to the side.

"Goddamn! You seriously have a loud mouth!" I glared at him.

"DIE YOU DHAMPIR HOG!!!" He leaps at me again.

I moved out of the way with my speed but he predicted what I did, "You think you can outrun a ninja vampire?!" He taunted me.

"Ninjas doesn't scare me." I headbutt him in the face which broke his nose and lip, good.

"AGH! You broke my fucking nose!" He complained like an idiot.

"Yeah, I did." I said and I can tell how scared he is when he saw my eyes glowing red, indicating at how hungry I am for vampire blood.

"Don't you dare!" He grabs a nearby branch and whacked me with it.

"AGH!!!" I got hit and tossed against the tree hard.

"I got you now dhampir!" The vampire closed in to bite me but I pulled out my dagger and struck him in the heart.

"AAAAGH!" He yelps out in pain and fell down dead to the ground. I then sunk my fangs on his corpse to drain his blood.

Dead or alive, I don't care what I feed from but I needed blood. But I got tackled by another black vampire hedgehog but I kicked him off me. How dare I got interrupted!

"Grrrr!!!!! I'm so not in the mood to fight vampires this time at night!" I coughed from my interruption of blood sucking, still blood stains on my mouth and chin.

"You are so dead!" The vampire snarled.

"I'm already half undead!" I ran towards him with my dagger in my hand.

He jumps at me but I cut his throat as he got close which made him gurgle with blood coming out of his mouth and hard for him to speak; probably because I cut his throat deep to his vocal cords.

"Yeah, feel the death like the way your leader killed my mother." I aimed my arrow at his heart and killed this vampire for good.

"Let the predators eat your dead body." I said as I howled out loud for the wolves to come out.

And in a matter of minutes they came and dragged the corpse. Phew, good thing it was not like five vampires at once. Because I would be outmatched if there were too many. I spoke too soon when I hear more vampires coming.

"Seriously?!" I turned around to where they're going to ambush me.

I took my bow and arrows to aim at wherever they are coming from. I can tell there's three vampires lurking me.

"We're three more than you!" One vampire grinned.

"I don't fear any of you!" I glared and aimed my arrows at them.

"Spread out!" The vampire leader shouted and two of them pounced at me and bit me.

"AGH!!! GET THE FUCK OFF MY NECK!!!" I whacked one of them with my bow.

They both hissed in anger and I drew two arrows in my bow and shoot at them.

"MY EYE!!!" One got the arrow into his eye and the other one got the arrow through his chest. I grabbed a sharp branch and impaled the former. Their leader got down and he was more relentless, he used a sword and swung it at me but I managed to dodge it, only getting a slight cut on the cheek.

"Alright you asked for it!" I dashed at him and punched his gut and then I jumped back and shot an arrow at his head.

I felt pain from the bite in my neck, god it hurts and I need blood to heal. So, I drank his blood to heal up my neck and my cheek. I don't care if I have blood stains on his chin or teeth, I just care about keep track of many vampire deaths in my record.

"WHO WANT SOME MORE?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, but no answer.

They're obviously scared to die, good, that's why they should fear me instead. "Good, you should be scared of me!" I said out loud, making sure they get the message but I don't care if they'll listen to my warnings.

As soon the coast is clear I left.

Soon I came into the Tails' open apartment window since I haven't seen in a few days when I was getting along with Amy and Iris.

"Oh, hi Sonic, how's things with Amy and Iris?" He asked once I came inside.

"Great. But well Iris has started to see me as her dad." I said.

"That's new. Iris would always cry a lot to wanting to see her real dad." Tails said.

"That's because I resemble her father." I said.

"Heh, I guess you're her new daddy than a stepfather." Tails laughed.

I laughed a little, "Yeah. Well she warms my heart." I said.

"Wow, I never seen you having a soft side for children." Tails said, handing me a tomato juice box.

"I can't kill children." I said.

"Can't or you don't like killing children?" Tails asked me.

"Can't." I answered.

"Even when it's vampire kids?" Tails tested me.

"I haven't seen vampire kids all my life but killing them would be wrong unless they can listen to vampire adults like me because kids can't outrun adults." I said as I sip my tomato juice.

"Point taken there. I can't imagine you doing such things." Tails said.

"I can't either. By the way, how's that device of detecting vampires coming along?" I asked and tossed the empty juice box in the trash can.

"It's almost done Sonic." Tails showed me it.

"Define almost." I said.

"In less than 2 hours when I'm done making adjustments" Tails said.

"Very well. I'll go see how my little angel and her mama are doing." I said.

"Good luck bro." Tails said.
