(Sonic's POV)

I got a good day of sleep and its now 3 in the afternoon, time for this dhampir to see how my lovely ladies are doing right now. I walked out of Amy's bedroom and saw her being desperate to move the couch but it was too heavy for her and that she needed some help. She's trying to move the couch to the other side so it can face the TV.

"Need some help, milady Rose?" I asked and I lifted the couch with my superhuman strength.

"Yeah thanks. I thought you had average strength." Amy said.

"Heh, I guess you haven't seen my supernatural strength." I chuckled and put the couch down so it can face the TV.

"Yeah of course." Amy laid on the couch.

"You're too beautiful and innocent, Amelia. You're like a rose filled with beauty." I held her chin up to look at me.

"And you are like Robin Hood at night." Amy teased me.

"Heh, except I don't steal riches, young lady. I hunt vampires." I smirked.

"How long have you been a badass hunter?" Amy asked.

"For centuries, milady." I said.

"And it never got ancient old on you?" Amy asked with a tease.

"Not a bit, Ames." I said rubbing my nose with hers.

"You're too adorable." Amy giggled.

"Adorable like a bat and a wolf at the same time." I purred when she rubbed my ear.

"Of course, my darling Sonic." Amy giggled.
My ears perked at the sound of wailing. Oh boy. I think Iris must be hungry by now. I gestured Amy to get Iris her warm milk while I head into the baby room.

"WAAAAAAAH EHHH EHHHH!!!" She cried in her crib.

"Shhhh......Shhhh...... Papa's here." I picked her up and cradled her.

Iris stopped crying since she knows I'm here and that she looked up at me, calming herself down a little as I cradled her in my arms.

"Dada." She cooed.

"Yes, it's Dada to you." I waved my finger at her.

"You hungry Iris? Mommy has your warm milk." Amy came in the room with a warm bottle of milk.

"Ga! Ga ga!" Iris squirmed in my arms, begging to get her milk.

"Whoa, it's like she remembers what milk bottle means." I said and Amy gave me the bottle as I fed Iris as she slowly drank her milk as I held her.

"I wonder when she'll get her first tooth. And I also wonder when she'll curl up into a hedgehog ball as defense." I said, making sure she doesn't drink too fast or she'll get extremely cranky.

"Well, she's a year old so her teeth are coming." Amy said.

Soon as Iris was done, I held her on my shoulder and patted her back to make her burp.

"Good girl." I smiled and Iris giggled as I put her on my lap while I sat on the couch.

"You know, I hope one day she'll be alot like you but I also worry if any men will harass her. She's just so innocent to me." I said, hold her close to me.

"I hope she'll be strong like you Sonikku." Amy said.

"I bet she will. Are you gonna be strong like mommy and daddy?" I teased my cute little angel.

"Wa go ba!" Iris nodded.

"I thought so." I handed her to Amy.

"Hopefully one day when I live with you, my guardians are gonna have to hunt vampires for me. And I need to work on my lust for blood. I get so afraid if I go savage, I could attack you and I really don't want that to happen." I said, very anxious if it happens for real.

"Sonic, I know you would never attack me nor Iris." Amy said.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Because I know how devoted you are to raise this family." Amy said.

"Well, yeah. But that's just a start to get to know what it's really like having a new family." I blushed.

"Which is why you're adapting a little, Sonic. Adapting takes time to come around when you get used to something." Amy explained.

"Yes." I held her close.

Though I feel like having a fruit and I usually go with apples because I suck the juice out of it like a vampire sucking blood from the living.

"Say, do you have apples? I feel like I need vitamins for my half side." I asked.

"Over there." Amy points at a fruit bowl.

I grabbed an apple and sucked it dry. I didn't want them to see me looking like I'm a vampire fruit bat sinking my fangs in the apple and sucking their juice which leaves the apple very flavorless and dry. I threw it into the trash.

"That was a fast eating. What did you just do?" Amy asked.

"Sucked the apple dry like a potato chip." I replied.

"Like a vampire sucking the apple juice from the apple. Impressive." Amy said while rocking Iris.

"Yeah. I can do it to oranges too." I chuckled.

"Are you a vampire fruit bat?" Amy teased me.

"Maybe I am." I laughed a bit.

A while later, we put Iris in her crib since she fell asleep so peacefully. I saw it was nearly sunset and I have to hunt again. What if those vampires are right? What if I run out of vampire blood? No, I can't think like that. I gave Amy my walkie talkie just in case she needs me, she can just call on this and I will be there for her.

"If anything happens, you know what to do." I said.

"Got it, sweetie." She kissed me on the cheek.

I used my cloak cape to bring her close to me, "Milady, you're just too beautiful." I said and I kissed her.

"Oh, Sonic." She sighs in a lovely trance which made me chuckle a little.

I got out the window and leapt from rooftop to rooftop. I headed my way into the woods and found my abandoned mansion. Silver and Shadow should be waking up soon because the sun is already setting down and the sky is nearly going from yellow orange to dark blue.

I opened the doors and called out, "Hello, are you guys home?"

"Ah, Sonic. How was daylight?" Silver nearly startled me by hanging upside down from the ceiling.

"Fang-tastic." I said sarcastically.

"I suppose your new daughter is warming up even more to you." He got down.

"Yes. But also, I need your help. Even I hate to admit it but those nasty vampires are right. If I run out of vampire blood, I could go for mortal blood. Is there some way to hunt mortal blood without going savage? Bad mortals like murderers, rapists, thugs, whatever they are." I asked, pacing back and forth from feeling so stressed out.

"You could go for those criminals." Silver said.

"But how do you get rid of the bodies? They don't burn into ashes like vampires." I asked.

"Well, that's the problem. We just have to bury them somewhere." Shadow said.

"That's not easy for me. There are police around the city and if they discover that vampires are real, they could....quarantine everyone." I said.

"You'll figure something." Shadow said.

"Man, I'm so anxious. Sure, I have drank mortal blood in my childhood to survive but I still need your help on how to hunt bad people. Please guys!" I begged with my puppy eyes and my quivering lip.

"Oh, god! Okay, enough with that face! It really kills me to life!" Shadow groans in annoyance.

"Always works every time." I chuckled at his freaked-out reaction.

"Very well. Let's bring you to the bad areas of town." Silver said.

We went to the downtown area where most criminals are around. I looked away in fear that this can be very scary to see what these mortal people are when they do crime. But then I saw a group of them talking about a murder they just have committed.

"Really? You had to slit the accountant's throat?" A blue lizard said.

"He deserved it." The other criminal said.

I shuddered at what they are talking about. I stepped back from even trying to attack my prey. I looked at Silver to show me how it's done by his own way.

"Watch this." He and Shadow rushes down in full speed.

I watched as he overpowered the murderers and Shadow snapped one's neck with his bare hands. One tried to stab Silver but he turns around and punched through his chest, crushing his heart. I covered my own mouth at what I just saw was very horrifying than how I kill vampires my own way.

Once the murderers were killed, I jumped down, "What a carnage!"

"Scared?" Shadow asked.

"Are you guys this brutal on mortals?" I looked at the corpses.

"Yeah, but we got no choice. Amy was right that vampires are going through eternal misery of drinking blood. But for us, we always look at another way." Silver said.

"Now come on, bite the neck. If you go savage, we'll know." Shadow said, holding the corpse up.

"Or if I'm picky on any type of blood." I took a deep breath and then sunk my fangs into the corpses neck.

The mortal blood tasted different than vampire blood but it sorta gave me a strong pulse in my body like it's never gotten mortal blood for centuries. I don't feel myself going savage this time because Amy's love for me is keeping me in control.

"Ahhhhh...... much better." I felt satisfied.

"Do you feel savage?" Silver asked.

"Not a bit." I said.

"Are you sure?" Shadow asked seriously.

I checked to make sure I truly am myself and not a scary predator but I still feel okay, "I'm fine guys." I finally said.

"Thank god. Now let's go home and dispose the bodies." Silver said, carrying the dead body while Shadow did the other.

"Yes, and dispose of evidence." Shadow said.

"I hate to admit it but it kinda tasted good, but at the same time, I felt scared." I said as we left the city in a dash so no one can see us.

We buried the bodies deep into the forest and placed a boulder over them. I can hardly imagine trillions of maggots eating a dead corpse like that. But it's the circle of life, the bodies break down to dirt.
