(Sonic's POV)

I've been sleeping for 5 hours and its nearly past noon right now. Man, this comfy bed is so soft it's making my tense body relaxed. Usually I don't get hungry for blood during the day, just at night. I don't know why but maybe because my mortal side is a daylight thing while my vampire side is a night thing.

"Iris, Dada is napping." Amy whispered softly when walking in the room with her daughter.

"Ten more minutes." I groaned as I turned.

"Sonikku." I heard Amy near me and I opened my eyes seeing she put Iris in front of my eyes.

"Dada!" Iris said.

"My little angel." I smiled tiredly and she snuggled on me and I petted her short quills on her head.

"She couldn't stop crying about you." Amy said.

"I heard loud and clear." I chuckled and brought my cute baby close to me.

"Oh Iris." Amy shook her head.

"Did you beg mommy to see me you little troublemaker?" I teased my little baby angel.

"Wa bwa ga!" Iris nodded.

"I thought so. Tickle tickle." I tickled her tummy.

"Ehahahahahaha!" Iris laughed for being so ticklish on her belly.

"She's starting to bond you more than me." Amy can tell that Iris is becoming attached to me more.

"Because she thinks I'm her father. But she loves you too." I said.

"That's what Iris needed a year ago, a father's love." Amy said, laying down on the bed.

"Seems I've repaired the family." I let Iris crawl to her mother.

"Indeed, you did and it looks like she woke you up completely. I was gonna bring coffee to you so it could help you wake up." Amy held Iris in her arms while talking to me.

"Yeah, I could use one coffee too." I sat up.

"Have you tried it?" She asked.

"Eh, well, I did had coffee with the chief in the village.....5 times." I said, though unsure how it will be with Amy's type of coffee.

"I have milk in my coffee, makes it better." Amy said.

"Okay, I'll try your way." I said and followed her in the kitchen, a little drowsy but still awake.

Amy poured the coffee in a cup and applied milk in it. "Here you go." She handed the cup to me and I took a sip of it; it wasn't so bad.

"Whoa, I feel awake. How does this work?" I asked while sipping carefully.

"It's simple, you apply coffee powder into a coffee machine and pressing the buttons to make the water blend with the powder" Amy explained.

"Wow, it's like I need to learn more about your world." I chuckled and kept sipping my coffee.

"A lot since you've lived three centuries." Amy said.

"Well, I did learn a little society for 3 centuries but not entirely" I said and finished my coffee.

"It's like the same way I wanna learn your vampire world but I can't. But the only thing I know is that vampires can't survive daylight." Amy said, putting Iris on the high chair to feed her lunch.

"Exactly. They also hate garlic you know." I said.

"Ga! Ga!" Iris squealing like crazy.

"Oh, you messy girl. Mommy has to feed you." Amy said, she wipes Iris muzzle and feeds her more baby food.

Soon after feeding Iris, Amy bottle-fed Iris with warm milk.

"Heh, she looks cute when you're the mommy." I smiled.

"Mmmhmm. Some say she looks like a mini me at times." Amy joked.

"She would look gorgeous like her mother someday." I said.

"You think so?" Amy asked.

"I know so." I replied, Amy smiled and kissed me on the cheek.

As soon as Iris was fed and burped, she reached out her arms to me that she wants me to hold her in my arms.

"Alright come here." I picked Iris and cradled her in my arms. "Aren't you a big girl? Yes, you are, you are getting big." I teased my little angel.

Iris giggled as I held my finger out to tease her. Then I held her in front of me and lifted her up and down. "Bouncy, bouncy."

Iris then laughed as I did this but I held her close to me again. "Sometimes I wonder why you choose me as your new daddy." I rubbed my nose against hers. I then felt Iris touch my face a bit.

"I can expect that I'll teach her how to walk soon." I said to Amy.

"She's getting the hang of walking a bit but she knows how to grab things with her tiny hands." Amy said.

"Okay. Well it's a long while til she runs." I replied.

"Ga!" She grabbed my hand in a firm grip.

"Hehehehe..... you're strong." I chuckled at this.

"Heh, she's alot like me when I used to do karate like my dad." Amy giggled at how Iris is so strong to grip my hand.

"I can tell she'll be a strong girl." I said.

"If she was like you, she would be enjoying the moonlight." Amy guessed.

"Mortal or not she can still enjoy it." I said.

"Mama! Cake! Cake!" Iris squealing to her mother about something.

"That's right, Iris. We gotta get cupcakes for dada." Amy said.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"It wasn't my idea but Iris wanted to have cupcakes with you. She knows I work as a manager at the best bakery shop in the city. So, my best friend Cream is another manager working on the weekends. Wanna come with us to get them?" Amy explained.

"Sure, I never had sweets in my life." I said and switched to wearing my black hoodie jacket.

We headed at the Bakery shop Amy worked at and it was open still. I looked through the window seeing several cakes, pies, sweets and cupcakes. In my timeline was very different but now I see some great art on the sweets. Some had decorations for weddings while others icing and sprinkles.

We went inside as I had Iris on a stroller and I took over so that Amy finds what she's looking for. "Hmmmhmmm. Some strawberry cupcakes?" Amy points at the pink cupcakes.

"Yum!" Iris claps her hands in excitement.

"Do they have vanilla flavor?" I asked.

"Yes, they do." Amy showed different kinds of cupcakes.

"Hi Amy." Said a beige and orange rabbit.

"Hi Cream." Amy greeted her friend.

"It's been a year and I see you're in a better mood." Cream said.

"Yes, this is Sonic, my new boyfriend." Amy introduced me; I blushed at that she called me boyfriend.

"Hi, and also the new dad to Iris." I said shyly.

"Aw, you look almost like her first dad. I'm Cream the Rabbit by the way." Cream said.

"Nice to meet you. And....uh....I'm from out of town and met Amy two weeks ago and now Iris thinks I'm her father. She's such a cute little angel." I said and tickled my cute little Iris.

"Dada!" Iris giggled.

"I can tell she loves her new daddy." Cream said.

"Yeah, she needed a father's love. By the way, I never tried cupcakes but do they come in vanilla flavor?" I asked curiously.

"Sure." Cream held out one.

"Since I'm the manager here I'll get the cupcakes free." Amy said.

"Thanks." I took the vanilla cupcake.

"Are you guys like bakery artists or something?" I asked.

"Mostly yes. Cream's mom taught me for 3 years when I worked here and became a manager of the shop." Amy said.

"Great. I should come here often." I said.

"Wa ba wa!" Iris begged for her cupcake.

"Here you go my sweet purple rose." Amy gives Iris her cupcake and she greedily eats it.

"For a baby with no teeth, she sure knows how to like something to eat." I was impressed at how she manages to eat like that.

"It's a habit of her own to what she really likes. But hopefully she'll get her teeth in the next few months." Amy said.
