(Sonic's POV)

I rode my horse in the forest to hunt vampires and to feed. Even if I had killed over 900 vampires, I would run out of vampire blood to feed from but I can't go to feeding from mortals.

"Come on, give me a vampire already." I said to myself impatiently.

My horse stopped and got frightened from whatever is lurking in the trees. I know that horses can sense danger than humans, so whatever is spooking him, I gotta calm him down.

"Whoa, whoa. Easy boy." I held him down with the reins.

"Look what we got here. The destroyer of Dracula!" I heard a voice say.

Great, they probably heard that I killed the lord and they are still loyal to him. What a shitty thing they desire to be loyal to him when instead, he's dead because I killed him.

"He killed my family! That's my justice!" I said, wherever they are.

"Well we're going to kill you for killing Dracula!" The vampires showed themselves.

"You guys don't think for yourselves but follow his orders? If he killed your family, you would know how painful it feels. You're wasting your goddamn time on following orders instead of making your own choices. Following orders leads you all to getting killed by me." I held my bow and arrows.

"Living as vampires are better!" They snarled at me.

One of the vampires, a hawk lunged at me but I shot his head. "You're full of shit!" I glared and snapped his neck and went for the other vampire to feed from.

I sunk my fangs into him and drank his blood to satisfy my hunger; lucky for him he's barely alive instead of dead from my fangs going deep in his neck and breaking the arteries. "You really think every vampire is evil to you?" He said with a weak voice.

"No, because I only sense those who want me dead and those that don't." I stabbed him in the heart and he turned into ashes.

"And I don't like evil vampires wanting me dead for centuries." I said and went back on my horse to head back to the old mansion in the woods.

Once there I let my horse gallop back to the village safely while I head inside the house.

"Hey Sonic, what's up?" Shadow saw me get in.

"Good, I killed more bad vampires." I replied.

"And you never get tired of it?" Shadow asked.

"Nope, but I hate to run out of vampires for the next 300 years because I really don't want to go after mortal blood. I would end up like them." I said.

"Remember that you got a girlfriend and his daughter to take care of while they are still alive." Shadow reminded me.

"Yes, I know. I have been thinking of moving in with them but they are daylight people, I'm a nocturnal person." I said, going into the fridge to have tomato juice.

While I was away, they found a generator to operate electricity in the house. "Good thing you got the power on." I said while drinking.

"Yup, to live in the 21st century we gotta learn to live like them." Silver said.

"We adapt to every century, guys." I said.

"So, is your lady friend doing okay?" Silver asked.

"Yeah, but she's not good with being single and she needs me." I said.

"Well, maybe so you can help raise the baby." Silver said.

"Iris just started to watch a vampire kid's show because of me, well about good ones." I said.

"How are you gonna fit into the mortal world? You're not a daylight person." Shadow said.

"I can survive in sunlight, Shadow. I'll just let the mortal world know I suffer a very rare skin sensitivity to sunlight." I said.

"Good point there." Shadow said.

I looked at the clock and it's 8:30pm, they should meet my lady friend but they better control their bloodlust.

"Why don't I introduce you to her. You ready to get batty?" I chuckled.

"Bat puns? Fine but we are following you." Silver rolled his eyes in annoyance and morphed into a bat along with Shadow too.

"Heh, you two can't talk as bats and I will be cocky at my will." I chuckled and let them follow me through the woods to the city.

Once I arrived, I knocked on the door again and Amy opened. "Hi Sonic. Are those real bats?" She noticed my two buddies.

"Nope, they are hedgehog vampires." I said.

Shadow and Silver revealed themselves to Amy by morphing to their hedgehog selves.

"AH! Are they on our side?!" Amy almost freaked out.

"Whoa, whoa. Calm down, Ames. These are my guardians and they are good vampires." I assured her.

"Hi, I'm Silver." Silver said shyly.

"And I'm Shadow." Shadow greets Amy.

"Fluffy!" Iris in Amy's arms reaching out to Silver.

Silver picked Iris close to him. "Whoa, easy little girl." Silver said as Iris snuggled on his thick chest fur.

"Aww....she likes your chest fur. That's too adorable." I chuckled.

"Yeah she does." Silver chuckled nervously when Iris buried her face on him.

"Just like Sonic did to you when he was her age." Shadow chuckled.

"Oh, I remember that." Silver blushed.

"Fluffy." Iris being a little too rough with Silver's chest fur.

"Easy now girl" Silver laughed a little from being tickled.

"She seems to love your fuzzy chest fur as a pillow." Amy joked.

"A fluffy pillow." Silver laughed.

"I feel jealous." I chuckled that Iris seems to enjoy that chest fur too much.

Silver then handed Iris to Shadow and he looked at Iris and she squealed happily. "Ga wa ba ba!" She pulled his chest fur.

"Ow! Easy!" Shadow flinched slightly in pain.

"Good girl, my little angel." I laughed at Shadow's tortured look.

"Your new daughter really is troublesome already." He handed Iris back to me.

"Dada!" Iris snuggled on me.

"My cute angel. Did you make dada laugh?" I tickled her tummy.

"Kyehehehehehe!" Iris giggled cutely.

"You three are such a cute family." Silver said.

"Thanks mom." I teased him. 

"Oh, now you're a bad boy." Silver replied as Amy laughed.

"Mama Silver?! HAHAHAHAHA!" Amy laughed more.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Laugh it up." Silver rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Well, you took care of me like a mother, mom." I laughed a little.

"And Shadow being the grumpy dad." Silver began joke as well.

"You guys aren't....well...you know...." Amy didn't want to say that.

"What? No, he and are just friends, nothing else. We both promised Sonic's mother to raise him and hide him from the vampire lord. But now, he's already a big boy. I just take the role in being a mother while Shadow is like a father to him because Sonic needs both a mother and a father to raise him properly." Silver explained the whole story of raising me for centuries.

"It appears you two did a good job after all." Amy said.

"Thanks." Shadow and Silver said in unison.

"Looks like you two will be grandparents to my little baby angel." I teased them.

"Yeah, very young grandparents we are." Shadow scoffed.

"Yeah you are." I chuckled at their reactions.

"Well, at least you are beginning to bond with that child like a father." Shadow said.

"She warms my heart every time." I said.

"Dada." Iris held my hand.

"You love dada?" I chuckled at her.

Iris nodded and hugged my hand. Such a cute and adorable baby she is that just loves to have a father love from me. She let out a cute yawn and cuddled in my arms to get comfortable.

"Oh, she's tired. You are such a cute little angel, Iris." I said.

"I think it's bedtime for her." Amy said and I carried Iris to her crib, putting her down there and put the blanket over her.

"Sleep well, Iris." I kissed her forehead.

I then got back to Amy and the guys. "Better speak a little lower to not wake her up." I said quietly.

"Well, we all need to go now because your lady friend sleeps at night like the rest of the mortals." Shadow suggested.

"Alright, see you tomorrow, Ames." I said and kissed Amy's hand.

"Aww....such a gentleman you are." Amy blushed.

"Thanks." I replied before I left.
