She could feel herself warming up as she approached the crossroad. "That's much better..." Yumi murmured. :...What to do now..?:

"I gotta find Lucia... I did what she said, so hopefully... hopefully she won't kill me when I find her..." Yumi said aloud.

*Lucia.. at the castle, most likely.

"Right. Have to get to the castle." She turned to the northern path to get to the elevator.

*Don't pass through L3 again.

She nodded. "Not again," she agreed. "How about R3..?" she murmured as she entered the elevator.

*Good..

She pressed the R3 button.

At the R3 floor.. there was a small flame monster.

She approached the monster with a slight frown. "Oh, hi..."

The flame monster looked up.

"Heh, Hey."

She sighed and closed her eyes tightly. She didn't want to bring the news, but she knew that every monster should know. "H-Have you heard about what happened to Asgore..?"

"Asgore??? What about him???"

She sighed again. "He's dead... the new queen, Lucia, killed him..." Yumi said softly.

"I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT-"

He bursted out rather suddenly before sighing.

"I'm sorry..." she said.

"...Poor asgore.."

Yumi was quiet, but she nodded.

"..I.. .."

He said nothing else..

"I'm sorry..." she whispered, and turned, walking towards MTT Resort.

Silence reigned.

She walked into the resort and sighed. She headed towards the back.

A young girl was admiring the fountain when she saw Yumi and followed her quietly.

:...What would happen to Travis..?: she thought. She stopped for a moment and grimaced. "But... no, she wouldn't get rid of a perfectly good guard. I have to go there."

The young girl followed Yumi, but she was too late to get in the elevator. She got on it when it came back, and was still following Yumi.

:..But.. what if she will?: "She... I... I have to try anyway," Yumi said quietly.

The young girl seemed slightly frightened, but she didn't say anything. She hoped that Yumi would protect her if needed, so she just followed the other human to the hall to the Core.

:What if Travis is killed..?: "Urgh... stop!" Yumi finally cried out. "Travis would prefer Kiara be saved rather than him..." she tried to convince herself.

The young girl tilted her head with confusion.

She sighed and continued forward, still unaware of the young girl following her.

. . . Almost to the core.

"Please let me be right..." Yumi whispered to herself and entered the core, the young human following her.

:He has to be okay.: She nodded. "Y-Yeah." She entered the elevator. The young girl looked around, missing her chance to actually get into the elevator with Yumi, and so she waited.

...There was soft clanking noises once she got out of the elevator.

Yumi looked around, scared.

..Oh! It was 01! And another royal guard was with him..

"Ah! You don't know how glad I am to see you!" Yumi said happily and smiled, running towards the two royal guardsmen.

01 glanced at her.

"Oh, it's you! Hey!"

"..."

"Who's that with you?" she asked.

The girl exited the elevator and looked around, slightly scared.

"This is 02! He's the guy I was looking for earlier."

"...yep."

"Oh, I'm so glad you found him!" Yumi said cheerfully.

The young girl let out a sigh of relief when she saw Yumi and walked towards the three.

"Did you find who you were lookin for??"

"Eh... in a way," Yumi murmured.

"...In a way? Bro, are they alright?"

"Hopefully," she responded.

The young girl approached them with a smile. She lifted a hand and waved in greeting.

They glanced over.

"Hey! This a friend?"

He asked Yumi curiously.

"..."

She tilted her head. "Actually... I've never seen this girl before," Yumi admitted.

The girl giggled. "I'm Lizzy!" she said cheerfully.

"Well, Heya there, Lizzy! You need something?"

He cocked his head slightly.

"Actually... I want to go see the castle!" Lizzy admitted with a laugh.

Yumi flinched. "That's... not a good idea right now..."

"Actually, me and 02 are supposed to give King Asgore the daily report."

"..."

Yumis face paled. "W-Well... um... there's a new queen..." she sighed and held her arms to her chest. "The new queen killed Asgore."

Lizzy gasped. "What..? Toriels old friend Asgore is dead..?" she whimpered. "But... Toriel said he was so strong..."

"..Well.. I knew Asgore had to fall eventually.."

01 sighed.

"..I was hoping it wouldn't be so soon."

"...is the queen.. ..good..?"

She shook her head. "No... she isn't..." she whispered.

Lizzy was frozen with shock. Yumi looked over at the young girl and gently wrapped her arms around her, trying to comfort her. She knew that the girl wouldn't be dangerous, so she decided to focus on her rather than herself.

"...how.. do you know... that she's not..?"

02 asked.

" . . . "

01 was silent.

"...she imprisoned me in a void with the friend I was looking for after failing to control my mind, she killed Asgore, and she tried to kill me," Yumi said dryly.

Lizzy hugged Yumi and the teen picked up the smaller girl.

..He suddenly looked rather sick at hearing that.

"I need to get to the castle," Yumi said after a few moments of silence. She set Lizzy down. "And I need to go alone."

"Yo, can't we back you up..?"

"...anyone.. who harms the king.. has to be killed."

"I... I don't want anyone else to get hurt."

Lizzy was silent.

"..."
"..."

They both looked at one another..

She sighed. "Lizzy, please stay with these two," she said, "they can protect you."

Lizzy nodded slightly and Yumi turned, walking towards the castle elevator.

..01 and 02 looked at Lizzy.

Lizzy looked up at them.

...All three were lost for words.

Lizzy looked down at the ground. A single flower bloomed by her feet before withering and dying.
