"I don't get it. We had those Black Hole Generator fragments. Why didn't we just drop them into a star when we had the chance?!" Leo complained as he sat at his station beside Donnie.
"Speaking of which, Professor Honeycutt, just how do you destroy the blackhole generator then?" You asked, waiting for the inevitable fight against the Triceratons on Earth again.
"I designed the generator so it is only vulnerable to a combination of fusion and dark matter! So if you will calm down and allow me to-" Fugitoid was interrupted by Donnie as he spoke about the events that our past selves had gone through, and were currently going through.
Your mind however, was on another thought. If the blackhole generator was only able to be destroyed by a mix of fusion and dark matter, where would you even get the means to-... Oh... Oh no.
"Here is my plan. While you all aid your past selves in stopping the Triceraton guards, I will capture the Black Hole Generator with my tractor beam." Fugitoid explained as you spaced out.
The ideas ran through your mind a mile a minute, but your loudest thought was 'he wouldn't do something like that right?' but it was interrupted by another outburst from Leo.
"So you drop us off on Earth and fly off with the Generator alone? Forget it!" Leo cried. You pulled his arm back by instinct, afraid he would do something he might regret later.
But there was a bigger problem - everyone else was beginning to agree with him.
"I can sense you're hiding something from us, Professor. You're lying to us." April said.
"Cough it up, Fuge! What's the deal, yo?" Casey added.
"There is no deal. It is imperative that you all follow my exact plan without question!" Fugitoid insisted.
"We can't make that promise, Professor." Donnie said finally.
There were more cries of protest and soon enough Fugitoid's demeanor changed. He became more irritated, angry, and hostile.
"Wait! Professor Honeycutt, I know why you're doing this! Please, don't - " You didn't even get the chance to finish your plea before the floor opened up underneath you.
Before you fell through the floor, you could see the professor's mechanical eyes, and for the first time, you could see his heart leaking through them.
"I'm sorry." He muttered under his breath as you slid down the Ulxes' inner workings and tumbled down onto Earth's surface.

When all of you landed on Earth, Fugitoid had saved you from a harsh fall, but despite his kindness, the others still wrote it off as nothing. Before you could explain his actions and his words, they ran off, head first into a battle like always, not bothering to wait up for you. They expected you to follow them again, but this time you would, even as you watched the Professor's ship fly off with a guilty conscience.
By the time you caught up with the others, they were already fighting Mozar, and you were out of breath and panting. You really wished you had your old skates right now.
"G-guys, wait for me!" You shouted, pulling out your weapon from your waist and adapting it to twin gauntlets.
Both the teams from the past and future worked to defeat Mozar, giving him relentless blows and giving him no time to collect himself until all of you were certain that he would give up.
"This is not over! Take us back to the mother ship!" Mozar cried as he was beamed away.
You still could barely breathe, like something was suffocating you. You watched as the others ran to Master Splinter, hugging their father tightly, but the reunion was short.
The Ulxes' tractor beam locked on to the blackhole generator and pulled it up towards the ship.
"Professor, wait! Please!" You chased after the ship in vain as it blast off into the night. You collapsed on your knees and watched as he carried it away, tears brimming your eyes.
"No! Fugitoid's got the Generator. It's what he wanted all along!" Leo cursed, looking in the same direction.
But then Donnie's face twisted, his eyes wide and guilt seeping through. You looked over your shoulder, ready to correct your love's words, but Donnie already began.
"I get it now. He said the only way to destroy the Black Hole Generator-"
You cut him off, finishing his sentence with anger, sadness, and betrayal in your voice. "Is a combination of fusion and dark matter." You said, Donnie looking to you with a shocked expression. It twisted into that of intense guilt when he saw the scowl and tears on your face.
"What... What are you saying, (Y/N)?" Leo asked in mutters as he felt his heart break little by little with each of your tears.
"It means the ship uses dark matter, and the Professor is powered by a fusion core." You watched as Leo's eyes widened, mortified.
"That's that's why he wanted us off the ship. He didn't want to steal it..." Leo trailed off.
Both of you spoke simultaneously, "He's sacrificing himself." You turned your head, closing your eyes as you let the tears fall off your eyelashes. You could hear the guilt in Leo's voice as he looked to you. You were right all along - he should have given Fugitoid a second chance, but...
There was nothing any of you could do anymore.
The sky lit up with the explosion of fusion and dark matter combining and the Triceraton ship disappeared with the Ulxes.
It was over.

A lot happened in the few minutes following the explosion.
First there was the extra set of people from your past, then there was the past Fugitoid who showed up. Then there was the rushing of your past selves onto the ship, but not before you gave some wise words and com numbers to the other version of yourself. She would find it helpful to have alien robots by her side, eventually. Oh - and the whole letting Leo speak his mind, he wouldn't reject her, thing. Let's just say there was a lot you'd said before she rushed onto the ship to spend some time in space.
Then there was everyone else.
"I think we must talk about this!" Splinter called to the others just as soon as the bay doors closed.
"Don't worry, Master Splinter." You said with a gentle smile. "They'll be alright. Everything'll be alright in the end..."
Slash then approached your group, the Mutanimals following him. "Got to say, I've seen a lot of weird days, but this has got to be one of the weirdest." He said rubbing his aching head.
"Have I got some stories for you, pal..." Raph replied with a smile.
"Hey, wait a minute!" You called to Raph. "You never actually introduced me to Slash." You crossed your arms with a pout. Raph only gave a nervous chuckle and waved it off, promising to introduce his two best friends to each other properly another day.
"I would like to hear some stories as well, my sons." Splinter commented with a gentle smile.
Leo replied to his father with an exhausted expression. "How about first thing tomorrow, Sensei? Tonight, I need some sleep." He looked to you with a smile as you took his hand in yours.
"I told you didn't I?" You gave him a smile, despite that there was a hidden sadness behind your eyes, at least you still had a second chance with Fugitoid, and in the end you had the rest of your family too.
"Everything turned out alright..."
