"(Y/N)!" A voice echoed through your aching head. "Wake up! Please, we need your help!"
You opened your eyes groggily. You expected to see the orange force field prison still around you, but you found that it was gone, and you were freed. You shook yourself awake, forcing yourself to steadily get to your feet.
"I'm here! I'm here! What happened?" You asked, still wobbling from the barely conscious state you were in.
"Heeelp!" Mikey cried as he was held upside down by a Vreen. Your weapon hilt was thrown to you and without a second thought, you pressed the release for the mini-rockets and it quickly exploded near the Vreen, freeing Mikey and destroying the alien insect.
You had yet to step off the platform of the prison, but as you tried to, you tripped over something. Slamming face first into the ground, you looked behind you to see what tripped you, and it turned out to be Raph, still spaced out and gloomy as ever.
"Raph, we gotta fight!" Leo called to him. Raph only just barely looked up, still confused, and unable to act on time as his brothers and friends were being thrashed.
"Raphael!" You looked to him, gritting your teeth in anger. You got back up and grabbed the turtle by the top of his plastron. "Get off your green ass and fight!" You spat harshly. "You're always telling me not to make myself suffer unnecessarily, and I can tell you from experience..." Your expression and voice softened in tone. "Everything's gonna be fine, but first we have to make it out of this alive. You were the one who taught me to keep sticking around and see things through to the end. I don't think you're the type of person to give up half way either."
Raph's eyes widened and his face twisted up into an emotion filled with betrayal, tears, and determination. He stood on his feet with your help. "Thanks, (Y/N)." He said, bitterness still in his voice, but resolve in his eyes. You got through to him.
Of course that wasn't of much help. "ENOUGH!" Dregg jumped into the battle and defeated the others without so much as breaking a sweat, you and Raph were next, but not without a fight.
The others had already been defeated and thrown down a dark pit. You both let out a battle cry and joined together to try and attack Lord Dregg. Neither of you made it far before Raph was lifted above Dregg's head and thrown into a pit on the side. "Leo! RAPH!" You cried, trying to rush to catch him. You slid across the floor, your hands barely slipping against Raph's as he and the other boys fell down the ominous looking cavern.
You tried to stand back up to fight once again, but Dregg's foot landed roughly on your back, stomping you back into the ground. You grunted, and winced as he ground his heel into your back, specifically on your old wound. He laughed, and let Armaggon handle you instead, the bounty hunter holding you down and inspecting you like a future meal.
Mona Lisa suddenly glanced your way as Armaggon lifted you up, and for a moment, your eyes met with Mona Lisa's. She was going to fix this. She unsheathed her blade and tried to attack Armaggon, assisted by Sal Commander, but the two of them were in vain. They were both knocked back by the alien shark and were held down by two more Vreen.
"Foolish! Now I will have Salamandrian to feast upon instead. And as for your planet? A literal smorgasbord!" Lord Dregg began cheering for himself, and then everything clicked in your head.
Mona Lisa wasn't bad! At first you were furious at her for her breaking your best friend's heart. You were ready to get revenge for him yourself, after you all made it out of this alive. Now you knew she was making a hard decision; her planet's well being for the life of the single person she loved most. You had to admit - you might have done something similar. Especially if the rest of your family was at stake.
You kept your eyes on Mona Lisa as Armaggon held you down with his foot still on your back. You were waiting for her to look at you, and when she finally did, you signaled to her. You subtly took out your weapon, shifting it to a bo-staff and hiding the transformation under your own body. Her eyes were wide at first, shaking her head. She didn't want you to do anything brash and risk all of their lives.
It made sense, and you almost hesitated to do it, until Armaggon's drink went flying and hit Dregg in the head. This was your moment. As Dregg tackled Armaggon for his 'insolence', you slipped out from under his foot and stabbed your bo-staff into the closest Vreen holding down Sal Commander. You electrocuted the creature and jumped off, doing the same to the one holding Mona Lisa down.
"(Y/N)." Mona Lisa began, holding your shoulders and looking you in the eyes. "I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I can only hope one day you'll forgive me."
You placed your hand on hers as she held your shoulder. "I already have, Mona." You said with a gentle smile. "I know you were just trying to save your people - the people you love - but I hope you'll remember when the day comes, that you love Raph too... And he loves you."
She gave you a smile back, one filled with relief and a special type of admiration, but the moment was interrupted when Sal Commander yelled at the two of you. "We don't have time for this!" He said as you flinched and got back into the fight.
Donnie and April appeared, along with Fugitoid, and they were making chaos for Lord Dregg and Armagon. The fight was all over the place, and you found yourself mainly fighting off any incoming Vreen, which was lucky because there was no way you could handle much else.
Then, during the battle, you heard a familiar voice. "Everybody, that way. Go!"
"Leo!" You cried, relief spreading across your face as he rushed to you, placed a quick kiss on your lips and grabbed your hand, dragging you out along with him. You could barely process what happened in the few seconds you'd seen him again, but you knew your face was flushed red by the sudden affection.
All of you made it outside the castle and were running as quickly as you could to get back to the ship. "We gotta get off this giant beehive!" Leo said as he turned to Fugitoid.
"I am remotely preparing Ulxes for take off!" Fugitoid replied before you heard Dregg's voice project from behind you.
Before you could even process what he'd said, Mona Lisa and Sal Commander were already jumping into battle. "Turtles, go. Get to your ship!" She said, defending against the alien insects.
"Are you crazy? What about your planet? Your people!" You asked desperately, making a motion to run to her and help the Salamandrians, but Leo's grip on your hand never loosened. You looked back to him and he had a stern expression. He wasn't going to let you go fight with them - he'd rather you escape with the others while you had the chance.
"Go. Save your world!" Mona Lisa said, giving you a determined expression. It changed as she turned to face Raph. "And, Raphael, I will always love you."
Your heart almost leapt out of your chest; she took your advice. She took your advice!
"You love me?" You heard Raph whisper to himself as he stood beside you. You looked to him, realizing that his eyes were wide and no longer lifeless. "Huh - she loves me."
"Raph? Oh - oh dear, I know that look." You muttered, watching as he smiled widely and sprinted towards Mona.
You gave Leo a single glance, and he knew immediately that you wished to follow them into battle again. You gave a battle cry, the same as Raph, and jumped onto the back of the closest Vreen, your weapon switching to your twin gauntlets. Everyone else joined the battle as well, fighting off Dregg's hordes of insects.
Raph was killing it - and every alien bug in sight with a focused white gaze. Of course, you couldn't keep up, but the other turtles and Casey were doing quite well, too. It was when you rushed over to find Mona Lisa that you'd seen her suddenly pierced by the giant Scropinoid.
"MONA!" Raph saw what had happened, and tackled Dregg who was riding atop the insect.
You knelt down beside the Salamandrian and you gave her face a few pats to try and wake her up before examining the puncture wound. It wasn't just a puncture wound actually, it was poisoned. "Mona! Mona Lisa!" You called. "Hey you gotta hang on, ok? We can fix you, but you can't die yet!"
"MONA!" Raph came rushing down as soon as he defeat Lord Dregg and you let him take her into his own hands.
Fugitoid had remote piloted his ship, and it saved all of you a lot of time. It saved Mona a lot of time.

"All's well that ends well." You said as you took a deep breath and sat inside the ship's pod.
"That's one way to put it."
You turned around with a smile. Leo took his seat beside you. You'd been watching the stars inside the clear glass of the pod under the Ulxes.
"One way? I think the only way. We saved G'Throkka and Mona Lisa, defeated Lord Dregg, and the Salamandrians just left in full health. I think things went at least moderately well."
He hummed in a bored agreement. "Sure, but you haven't said much to me today. You've just been hanging around Raph and Mona Lisa."
You turned to Leo who was trying to play it cool as he turned away from you, still staring at space. "You sound a little jealous." You teased, inching closer to him. "Leo, were you jealous? Wait - is that why you kissed me in the middle of the fight today?"
"No!" He denied furiously, scooting away.
"Oh my god, you were! Aww that's so cute!" You gushed, pulling him into a hug.
"I-I... Well, Raph and Mona are always..." Leo's argument fell apart when he realized that it wasn't helping.
"Raph and Mona are always kissing." You said as you pulled his face towards yours, a slight blush on your cheeks. "I guess we'll just have to make up for it in time, huh?"
He nodded, and the two of you shared a kiss under the faint light of stars.
