Chapter XII "For My Father"

"Wait Dom! You seriously cannot go in there." I hear Don call out to me but in a matter of quick seconds my foot connected to Kole's private office door. Making the doors fly open, the two men in the room quickly shot their glares towards my direction. Both my golden and icy blue twinkled at the sight of two annoyed men due to my presence.

"Sorry I'm late boys. Some ass hole requested for me to not show my dashing face towards your royal highny." I bowed in mockery and I could tell that the little Prince was pissed off due to my lack of respect. Just the way I like it.

"Alpha I'm sorry... she's a handful." Don said in a quick panic because unlike the Prince Kole's murderous glare was directed to the wrong man. I guess those are the perks in being someone's mate.

"It sure is not a pleasure to meet you Miss Dominyque Pierce."  The Prince didn't stand up from his chair and honestly I didn't give a rat ass

"The not so pleasure is all mine. Royal Pain." I snarked right back at him. His eyes transformed to their midnight black and golden iris. A trade mark of a lycan, which for some reason seemed so familiar.

"Dominyque enough!" Kole snapped at me and for some reason I flinched. Why on earth did I flinch towards this Alpha when he's clearly kissing the Prince's ass."

"Leave Don, he did ask for her presence anyway." Kole tried to remain his composure with a very cold tone; it sent my body a slight shiver. I didn't want him to talk to me like that again.

"Prince Stefan, your visit is quite unexpected but welcomed." Kole resumed himself to his seat, even though clearly he wanted to kick that stupid royal highney out of his desk.

"My family was concerned about the abnormal number of rogue attacks that have been taking place around your town. My father didn't want to get his hands into such a child's play but at last you have not solved the issue either." Stefan's hard hazel eyes darted from Kole and back to me.

"I was surely not expecting to see my cousin here." His words were as sharp as knives and I would've easily snarked back with a comment if it weren't for the fact that my brain was slowly processing what he just said.

"Cousin?" I gazed at them both. Wait whoa; okay this prince is a lycan... I'm a hybrid; I'm supposed to have werewolf blood inside of me.

"Prince Stefan this is neither the time nor the place for such news." Kole stood up from his chair, and by instinct stood right in between Stefan's sneer.

"Oh I apologize Alpha Kole, but your tone implies that I actually care what you believe is not the time or place." Stefan's eyes shifted back to their lycan form and I could see the muscles on Kole's back start to tense.

"My father was a werewolf, there is no lycan blood running through my veins." I strut right passed Kole and stood right in front of the Prince.

"Now either you're going to stop all this melodrama or you're going to go right down to the point as to why you say I'm your cousin." My voice was very much demanding; I didn't realize that I had slammed my hands on the desk, my claws itching to come out of their slumber.

A smirk played on the prince's lips and he deliberately just leaned back against the chair and looked down at his hands. To just make me more irritated that's for sure.

"Your mother gave you her maiden name, so that the royal vampire line would keep you safe and harms away from anyone. I assume one of your family members took you under their wing when both your parents passed away."  His hazel eyes radiated with smugness, he knew something more and it was getting me madder that he wouldn't stop being a royal ass and talk.

"I shall not confirm your statement for as it is you already know the answer to it." I said through my clenched teeth, Kole made a movement in the background and soon his warm hand was on my shoulder. Probably trying to calm me down somehow.

"Your father was none other than Abel Salvatore, my uncle and the diseased heir to the lycan throne." You know that whole saying about the truth will set you free? Well not in this case, the truth completely knocked me out of the park. I'm not a vampire werewolf hybrid. I'm a Lycan Hybrid!

I did everything in my power to not seem shaken, but that's exactly how I felt. My identity had been stripped from me and I was beyond pissed mad and confused.

I didn't even realize that I had revealed my true hybrid form and was about to pounce on the Prince if it weren't for Kole's arm around my waist. Pinning me against him not letting me move.

"You liar! My father was an honest werewolf! He would've told me! My mother would've told me!" The utmost truth was beginning to sink in. No one in my family wanted me. They either used every single attempt to get rid of me or refused that I didn't exist.

"As much as our family wants to ignore this fact, we cannot." Stefan stood up from his little man throne and walked right in front of us.

"The Pierce Clan has made a very bold announcement to the entire supernatural society and you're the front page of every magazine and missing poster." You could hear the smugness disappearing from his tone being replaced by pure irritation and annoyance.

"That being said, your lineage has been already pronounced and identified. Making the Salvatore family unable to strip away from this unfortunate situation." Oh so now I was unfortunate? I wanted to claw his face with my own hands... But wait the Pierce's are looking for me? It's probably Brad's doing...

"What an inconvenience to you your Highness." My voice was very much sarcastic, and the Prince surprisingly didn't care this time.

"Yes it quite is a real inconvenience especially when the daughter of an Heir is nothing more than a rabid animal." He said shaking his head and just started to pace in front of the table.

It was quite a turn on when both Kole and I growled at the prince. Wait no, I didn't just think that.

"With all due respect your Highness I'd rather you be a bit more respectful towards our future Luna." Kole said in a very over protective voice.

"She cannot be Luna if she wants to honor her father's memory." The prince dismissed the idea, which I was going to retort. I didn't accept this mate thing that was going on between us. But I wasn't going to deal with that yet.

"Oh and you do?" My tone was very much harsh but Prince Stefan wasn't fazed. Instead he turned to look at me with those hazel eyes and smiled in a very pompous air.

"As a matter of fact, I do."
