"Your Majesty!" Shark flashed in aquatic.

"What?" I flashed back.

"Your egg is hatching!" he flashed excitedly.

I swam as fast as I could down into the hatchery. It is finally time! The last egg I have kept is hatching! I pushed open the door to the hatchery and clutched the small blue egg in my talons. The top of the egg burst open and a small dark blue head popped out. Then the wings and all that was left was an empty shell. I could feel the tears coming from my eyes. At last! A daughter! I have waited too long for this. The small dragonet covered her eyes with her tiny wings and curled up in my talons.

"I shall protect you my love" I flashed.

"Mother?" Anemone flashed opening the door.

"Welcome Lapis your new sister into the kingdom" I flashed.
