Author's pov :

Anu and Vikram reached Hyderabad early morning around  5.30 am.

From there Vikram hired a cab to reach the apartment.

He recently rented the flat after his engagement. Before he used to leave in a small room which is located near his office.

He has already shifted few useful things from his room like T.V, Refrigerator, A.C and a few other furniture.

Vikram's family is against the concept of dowry. Even his father did not take a single penny while marrying Vikram's mother. Anu's family also doesn't want to encourage the concept of dowry.

So both the families came to a conclusion. Apart from the things Vikram already has in his room, both families decided to buy other electronics and furniture.

They prepared a list of things and divided the budget between the two families.

They completed these electronics and furniture shopping along with the marriage shopping.

Now the flat is fully set with all the necessities they needed. They just need to organise the things.

They reached their flat.

While Vikram is unlocking the door. They heard a voice from behind.

"Wait... Wait.."

"First time you are entering your house as a couple. Let me do the ritual." An excited Rupa their neighbour and Vikram's colleague Ravi's wife said.

Rupa hurriedly went back into her house and came back with an aarthi plate.

She gave aarthi to Anu and Vikram's pair and applied tilak on their forehead and then allowed them to go inside.

"She is Rupa. My friend Ravi's wife. They attended our marriage. Do you remember her, I introduced them during our marriage." Vikram said introducing Rupa and Anu to each other.

"Fresh up and take rest. I will come back with the breakfast." Rupa said going back to her flat.

Vikram showed Anu the house.

"Finally, this is our room. " Vikram said opening their bedroom door.

"You fresh up here. I will take bath in another room." He said guiding her inside.

By the time both Anu and Vikram freshened up.

Rupa came back with coffees and breakfast.

All had breakfast together. In the middle Ravi also joined them.

"We created you so much work. Thank you for the breakfast. It's delicious." Anu said looking towards Rupa.

"No. It's not much work. Thanks for the compliment." Rupa said with a smile.

Later Rupa and Ravi went to their flat as Ravi needs to get ready for the office.

Vikram also started to get ready.

"Anu, I will come by 7'o clock. If I got late. I will message. Ok." Vikram said wearing his wristwatch.

Anu nodded her head.

"We will go grocery shopping after I'm back." He said coming towards her.

"Ok, but what about your lunch?" Anu asked.

"I will eat in the canteen. Don't worry. One minute. This the phone number of a nearby restaurant, they will give home deliveries. Order your lunch from here. Their food tastes best." He said giving her the restaurant card from the cupboard.

He ordered many times from them after shifting to this apartment after their engagement.

Rupa and Ravi used to protest him doing this and make him eat homemade food as always eating out is not healthy.

Rupa and Ravi are a cute couple. Vikram first met Ravi in office. From colleagues, they became good friends. One year back Ravi got married to Rupa. It's an arranged marriage.

Rupa is a traditional and silent girl but with closed ones, she can be a non-stop express with her continuous blubbering.

"No need Mr Vikram. Keep your restaurant for yourself. It's not enough you got spoiled eating outside food and now you are teaching Anu to do the same." Came Rupa's scolding tone from outside.

"I and Anu will eat our lunches together." Rupa declared coming inside.

"Here your lunch box." She said handling Vikram a lunch box.

"Rupa, you don't need to..."

"I prepared lunch for my brother. " Rupa said interrupted Vikram's words.

"Vikram you better agree with her. Otherwise, you will get a lecture." Ravi warned playfully entering the flat.

Vikram nodded his head thanking Rupa and bidding bye to Anu.

Both Anu and Rupa went till the lift to send off their respective husbands.

"Anu come. Let's go inside." Rupa said.

Anu enjoyed Rupa's company very much.

She helped Anu to organise the things.

They both had their lunch sitting in Rupa's balcony garden enjoying the greenery and talking about random things.

Spending time with Rupa made the time went so fast.

They did the grocery shopping together in the nearby supermarket.

Anu got to know so many things about Rupa.

Rupa also did B.Tech but don't choose any co-operate job and choose to take a break for some time. She said she is searching for her real interest. She loves gardening so much. She is thinking to start vlogs on gardening.

Anu found all these so interesting.

Anu found her first friend in the form of Rupa on her first day in Hyderabad.

Later they parted their ways in the evening.

Anu talked with her family on phone for some time sharing the things she did.

Later she got fresh up and prepared dinner Chapati(Roti) and Paneer butter masala. Rupa hinted to her it's Vikram's favourite while buying panner.

By the time she completed the dishes. She listened to the calling bell sound, at the same time she heard her phone ringing displaying Vikram's contact indicating Vikram's arrival.

She hurried towards the door and opened it.

Vikram smiled brightly seeing Anu.

It feels good to see someone waiting for you at your house after a long tiring day.

He entered the house, Anu came back with a glass of water handling it to Vikram.

They talked for some time sharing each other's day. For sure Anu feeling carefree in Vikram's company day by day. These changes are giving countless happiness to Vikram.

Later Vikram got fresh up, they both enjoyed the dinner together.

"Panner butter masala is delicious. I think you have magic in your hands. Everything you cooks tastes awesome." Vikram said helping her washing the dishes.

"Thank you. " Anu said shyly.

"Helper will come from tomorrow.  I have already spoken with her with Rupa's help." Vikram said.

Anu nodded her head and said ok.

They both together watched a Rom-com movie and called it a night.
