"Sissy, why don't you smile anymore?"

I shot up as a ruler hit my head.

"Sleeping in my class again! How many times will I tell you?" The teacher barked at me, a scowl on her face.

"I'm sorry ma'am. It won't happen again."

"That's what you always say. Detention, after school."

I sighed and stared out the window, watching as a butterfly flew around carelessly.

"I'm home, James!" I yelled, walking into the house, taking my coat off and putting it on the rack.

"Sissy!" James yelled as he ran over and hugged my legs.

"Woah there buddy," I said, patting his head.

"Sissy, momma and dadda had a fight again."

"They did? Where are they?"

"Dadda went with the car and momma is upstairs. She's crying again sissy."

"I'll take care of her."

James nodded and let go of my legs.

I walked up the stairs and knocked on the door.

"Mom? Are you okay?"

"(Y/N), my beautiful daughter," she hiccuped, opening the door.

"What happened?"

"Your father went off again, he said he wouldn't accept the divorce."

"He better."

"I know sweetie, I know."

"Good. I'm going to make dinner."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me yet."

I turned around and went back down the stairs to where James waited for me.

"Vrooom vrooom! Beeeeeeep!"

I got the ingredients out of the fridge and started to cook, listening to James play.

"Sissy?"

"Yes James?" I asked, tucking him in.

"Sissy, why don't you smile anymore?"

"Sissy has a lot on her plate."

"Does Sissy feel okay?"

"Sissy is fine, thank you for worrying."

"I love you, sissy."

"I love you too, my little cutie pie."

I bumped into someone the next afternoon.

"Hey watch i-" he cut himself off when he saw me.

He smiled brightly before dragging me off to one of the tables at the cafeteria where we were.

"Excuse me?" I asked, watched as he sat down in front of me.

"I'm Taehyung, Kim Taehyung. And you, just made my day."
