Song: Fate by Seventeen's DK

she sighed as she stared at the moon, wondering when her start would come.
her comeback, her rebirth, when she finally becomes what she wished she was, other than what she actually was.
she played with the flower in her hand before dropping it over the fence, watching as it floated peacefully to the water, creating peaceful ripples.
a smile found its way on her face.
how she wished she could be like that flower, be free of all of her burdens and push backs, and just float around, appreciating the world until she withered and another took her place, one better and stronger than she.
oh, how she wished.
~
it started with a shoulder bump.
the bumps became more frequent, like they were purposely meeting on the same side of the busy street at the same minute, same second.
her black and white world started to gain color after the first time they brushed shoulders.
she wondered if he felt the same.
they way she watched as he smiled when he walked,
laughing at nothingness.
how could he be so happy?
she constantly wondered to herself as she worked endless hours, trying to support her broken family.
she could never be like him, as much as she tried.
~
he watched as the girl's features became clearer every day.
pale white completion that didn't fit with her foreign forrest green eyes and light brown hair that waved ever so slightly,
the way her hair was always half up, the piercings that ran up and down them,
the way she frowned, like she had no hope in life, in anything.
oh, how he wished he could stop her,
talk to her,
make her happy,
even if it was for one minute.
~
she welcomed him as he came into the café her parents had brought from the ground up.
she recognized him, the man she bumped into ever day.
his jet black hair evenly straightened to fall in front of his face, the small dark brown eyes he had that disappeared whenever he smiled, the way each step he took, he bounced a little, happy to be alive.
oh, how she envied him.
he ordered and she faced it to him with a fake smile that made him frown.
"mika, that's your name, right?" he asked, looking at her tag.
"yes," she answered.
"i'm soonyoung, it's nice to meet you."
"it's nice to meet you too, soonyoung."
~
day after day,
night after night,
their worlds lit up more,
the colors bursting in front of them,
ones they never had a chance to see.
just the company of each other,
healed their souls.
she ran away, leaving her broken down parents who wanted her for nothing more than a working doll.
he accepted her wholeheartedly into his house, his parents not minding at all.
they both graduated, finally realizing how much they needed each other in their lives.
they had plans,
move to the city, get an apartment, open a dance studio, graduate college, get married, have children,
they wanted to do everything
when it all came crashing down.
his dreams of being an idol were being held right in front of his face, and he had to make a choice,
stay with the love of his life,
or follow his dreams.
so, mika packed her bags and ran away for the second time in her life,
she didn't want him to give up his dreams for her,
she wasn't worth it.
she moved in with her cousin hansol's family and took his room since he had been scouted as well.
she worked hard, getting money to get her own apartment and dance studio.
he became an idol, not knowing of her living in his bandmate's house.
never, there was never a night they didn't ache for each other,
to tell the other how much they loved them,
to tell the other how much they missed them,
to tell the other how much they wished they were in their arms right at that moment,
however,
they were already too far apart,
their colors fading.
~
hansol dragged mika out of her apartment, telling her she had to meet his band mates.
she shrugged it off, thinking they were all young talented kids, no one she knew.
"where's soonyoung hyung?" hansol asked after the others were introduced.
"right here," he called and mika lost her breath.
she turned around and saw him stranded there, his hair now blond and parted in the middle, making it easy to see his eyes,
the same sparkle in his eyes as before.
the tears streamed down her face before she could react and he ran over to her, grabbing her up in a hug,
whispering to her,
"i guess fate wants us together, huh?"
she laughed and hugged him right back, not minding a bit about his bandmates.
and she whispered right back,
"i guess it does."
