Adi ran like a mad to the waterfall. He saw a kneeled down Abhi screaming Shalini's name, his face clarifying what kinda shock he got just now. The doctor fell down before reaching him. He couldn't feel his body, eyes became darker, only a name echoed in his ear again and again ---- Shalini.

Mayank and Darshan came running already. They couldn't ideate what happened recently while the witness wasn't in condition to answer. He leaned on Mayank's shoulder with an outburst of cry. Darshan jerked Adi harshly, but he seemed like a statue made of stone, eyes are still on the waterfall, whispering in half sense --- "Sha---lu.... ma--my bab--by..."

"Kya hua Shalu ko ? Bata Adi!" The doctor couldn't answer, but both Darshan and Mayank imagined the terror he faced. Mayu massaged Abhi's back to help him in breathing. When he becomes able to talk anyhow managed to say --"Maya..."

"Yes baby... don't fear... tell me, what happened ?"

"Sha---Shal..."

"Yes Shalini...kya hua usko ?"

"Sh..she jum--jumped from..." Abhi pointed at the waterfall with trembling finger. Now it's Mayank and Darshan's turn to be shocked.

"Ohhh Goddd...the waterfall is so high and deep..... anhhh... we can't even find her body"- Mayank panicked.

"Jumped ? Or you pushed her Abhi ?"

The couple stunned with Darshan's strange blame. Abhi wasn't able to talk, Mayank glared at him;

"What the fuck you're saying Daru ?"

"Abhi..." Mayank looked at his boyfriend with confused eyes, "did you tell that ?"

"Isi ne Shalini ko giraya Mayank... Shalini ne iska insult ki thi, uska badla lane ki liye...... isne innocent look pe mat aana Mayank.... just think hum Shalini ke dad ko kya jawab denge ? Oh God! call the police as soon as possible" Darshan's eyes were burning with anger. Only one who has evidence that Shalini attempted suicide is dumb now.

"Stop you blathering fucker. Abhi can never do that"

Darshan strongly disagreed with Mayank and continuously blamed Abhi. As a result Mayank lost his temper and the two homies engaged in fight.

"Mayank stop.." Abhi pleaded but his weak voice couldn't reach at Mayank's ears. First witnessing a death then unconditional blame threw the innocent in unconsciousness. Now Adi's sense came back when he saw Abhi fainting on rockey field.

"STOP RASCALS!!" His shout made the fighting duo stop. He yelled on Mayank, "atleast look for your boyfriend!" Then again put himself in half-conscious state making sure that a worried Mayank ran and took fainted Abhi for tent in bridal style.

Darshan held him tightly, tried to console him as the doctor also about to faint. Neither the doctor nor Abhi were concerned about what happened in next few hours.

Police, rescue team, Shalini's father, local people all performed their duties. Hustling and bustling, vehicle noise, phone ringtones mixed up with the noise of waterfall. However it was so calm before sometime. When Abhi got back hos sense discovered himself lying in tent, being treated by Adiraj. Who just lost his wife and unborn child is now doing his duty as a doctor with a melancholic face.

"Adi...."

"Yes, how are you feeling ?"

Tears dripped at answer, no words passed through his mouth seeing the devastated but dutiful doctor. He even smiling now to made him ease.

"Hey don't worry. Tumhe koi blame nahi karega. And... tumne bataya nahi, I'm gonna be an uncle ?"

Abhi started crying hard.... "I didn't pushed her Adi.... yes I said rude in anger.... but how can I...."

"Shhh....relax. We know tumne nahi kiya.... I told you naa, koi tumhe blame nahi karega...."

"Mayank....."

"Pagal! Suraj paschim me ug sakta hai lekin Mayank tumhe galat nahi samajh sakta Abhi"

"Where is he ?"

"Bahar police aur Shalini ke baap ko jhel raha hai"

"Oh God! Shalini ke dad..... kya beet raha hoga unke upar! Surely he'll also accuse me"

"Stop overthinking Abhi. It's not good for your child! Shalini ke death ki liye sirf aur sirf main zimmedar hun aur koi nahi. Okay, ye dekho..." Adi took out a folded paper from his pocket. That time Mayank just entered in tent to check Abhi and saw him weeping with the doctor in his arms.

"Adi zara bahaar aana, police interrogation ke liye bula raha hai"

Adi was about to leave but Mayank held his hand, whispered in low thus Abhi couldn't hear --- "Maana ki tu shock me hai, but uska galat faida mat utha. Like Shalini, me too not liking your clinging with my boyfriend. Tune do jaan le liya, ab to thoda sharam kar!"

The doctor sighed before leaving. Mayu stopped Abhi who was going to stand up.

"Kya hua tum kiun uth rahe ho ?"

"Woh police..."

"Tumse koi sawal nahi puchhega. Rest karo"

"Shalini ki body mili ?"

"Nahi. Milna possible bhi nahi hai"

"But Mau... tum aur Daru bhai..."

"Relax baby, we all read Shalini's suicide note. Sabko pata hai us bustard Adi ke liye..... whatever, don't take stress ok ?" Mayank soothed Abhi's tummy.... "my little Amy will hurt"

After a long cursed day, Adi entered to his apartment. Full day passed with shock, interrogation, blames and glares. From past two months this room became his comfort zone. He used to return after full day duty and two soft arms hugged his nape, provided tea and various dishes made by her. The dishes weren't tastier than Abhi's but had a lot of cordiality. The person herself wasn't pious like Abhi but possessed immense care for Adi.

Today he felt lack of anklets' tinkling and wet hair's flap. These smaller things were simple or somehow annoying till day, but now he's missing them so badly. He locked the bedroom's door and came to bed. Leaned on Shalini's pillow, it's smelling her fragrance. Till yesterday her body was just a thing of enjoyment for the doctor, but today he found nostalgia in the scent.

"Please come back Shalu, I won't scold you again...... I won't cling with Abhi..... bas tumhare saath rahunga. Please wapas aa jao, humare baby ka bohot dhyan rakhunga main... I won't let anyone harm you two...... tum chudail nahi ho.... tum to mere ghar ki Lakshmi ho.... ek tum hi to mera care karti thi.... come back Shalu.... please come back......."
