to be diagnosed of Alzheimer's.

i write with a willing forgetfulness.
i deceive you with an optimism
you are more likely to fall for.
i have a complusion
to please you with my words.
sometimes,
i have to forge memory issues
to not write about things i see.
had i been too aware
had i been too genuine
my words wouldn't be pleasing anyway.
i have block RED letters to write.
i have savages to sing about.
i have painful stories
that i painstakingly avoid.
you see, i have memory issues
that sometimes, i have to device
to show you
a promised neverland
and deceive you of the ugliness around.
i wish the deception works both ways, though.
