Chapter 6. Feast

"Holly, where have you been?"
A raspy voice grumbled.

"General I've been mapping the Shimmering Cavern."
Holly turned around and looked at a muscular battle scarred gray wolf.

"That's General Evergreen, he's a grump. Try not to get on his bad side."
Haust whispered to Pollen before sitting down on their throne along with many others. Pollen sat down next to Haust nervously.

"Stay calm. They can all smell you. Most Winterlings are either grumps or arrogant."
Haust warned Pollen.

Pollen nodded calmly.

Evergreen munched on a piece of meat chewing it slowly. His gaze was piercing whenever he glanced at Pollen.

"Say Haust I have a long memory. Who's the newcomer next to you?"
The general finally asked.

"This is Pollen, this is her first feast with the Winterlings, please welcome her."
Haust smiled.

"She looks like a Summerling, and almost smells like one too."
Evergreen sniffed.

"Well that's rather rude of you. Would you just go to me and ask what my-"
Haust challenged Evergreen.

"Haust I know it's rude for you. We all know you don't like being called either. But this is different"
Evergreen growled back in response, interrupting Haust.

"Well you don't want me to kick out your lieutenant now would you?"
Haust glared at a chubby white cat munching down on some fish.

"Fine. Let us just eat then."
Evergreen went back to eating with the other wolves.

"Holly, where's your armor? You said you'd wear it to this feast."
Evergreen narrowed his eyes at Holly.

"You know I can't no matter how hard I try, it's been hard ever since..."
Holly paused. Her eyes were filled with sorrow but why?

"Tundra."
The chubby white cat sighed.

"I know you miss her but you don't know where she could be right now."
The chubby white cat mumbled.

"Flake just stop. Can't we talk about something else..?"
Holly slammed her paws on the table.

Everyone stopped eating and stared at Holly.

"I'm sorry..."
Holly apologized with a sigh, eating her food.

"Well Anywho. General the ancient prophecy is...soon have you found your prophet holder yet?"
Haust asked in worry.

"No, and I have a hunch it's-"

"Stop talking about my sister!"
Holly yowled as she covered her ears.

Haust glared at Evergreen.

"Have..you found your prophet holder?"
Evergreen changed to subject.

"I have and so has LoinWeather and Queen Dahlia is very close to hers! Now why haven't you found yours?! Our world is at stake!"
Haust growled.

"I need time! My side is already melting away and I can't do anything about it! I bet the Summerlings are planning something!"
General Evergreen accused the Summerlings.

"You have the audacity to bring the Summerlings up? My side is almost black completely they're all withering like phantom leaves!
Haust sighed, leaning back on their throne.

"Have you trained your prophet holder?"
Evergreen sighed.

"Yes Autumn is more than ready to, he could sneak up on you and you wouldn't know."
Haust sat up.

"So he's the lighting or wind I assume?"
Evergreen grumbled fiddling with his fur.

"He's clearly the wind. I don't think thunder fits him."
Haust huffed.

"You've always been stubborn, Haust, admit it. We'll never find the prophet holder."
Evergreen bared his teeth.

"That's it. I'm arranging Olive a bit sooner and meeting with the Summerlings."

"One Love in visions eternally? Really?"
Evergreen sighed, rubbing his face.

"Yes this feast is over now, feel free to take some food with you."
Haust flicked their tail.

"Fine."
Evergreen packed up his food and flicked his tail leading the other wolves to follow.

"Holly come on."
Evergreen grumbled.

"Can't I stay a little longer?"
Holly asked shyly.

"No, but just this once I'll allow you to hang out with a Falling, grab your friends."
Evergreen sighed.

Holly smiled brightly dragging Pollen with her.

"Autumn~! Come on, let's hang out!"
Holly sang.

"Alright alright!"
Autumn's voice appeared next to them with a gust of wind.

"I cannot you're still one of the prophet holders Autumn, we have only a few more to go"
Holly jumped around.

"Yeah well I still rather just sit back and relax.
Autumn appeared next to Pollen as a gust of wind nearly blew Pollen away.

"How do you keep doing that!?"
Pollen screeched.

"Oh yeah I'm the wind prophet holder, which means I possess the power of the wind. I'm supposed to somehow assist my tribe but I'm not quite sure how yet."
Autumn explained.

"Yeah whatever let's just keep go-"
An icicle fell down from above as Pollen dodged it quickly. More ice spikes pierced up through the ground, mist surrounded everywhere.

"Pollen? Pollen??"
Autumn shook Pollen.

"Stop shaking me!"
Pollen kicked Autumn, Autumn went flying into the pile of snow.

"Ouch, I'm okay!"
Autumn sighed.

"Pollen, are you okay?"
Holly padded over to Pollen in alarm.

"Y-you didn't see that?"
Pollen looked at Holly slightly panicked.

"See what?"
Holly tilted her head slightly.

"Th-there was ice everywhere sticking up from the ground..a-and the area was surrounded by mist-"
Pollen starts to shiver.

"Autumn I think we should take her to the village quickly."
Holly nudged Pollen forward.

Autumn got up from the snow and nodded.
