Chapter 21: Information Dump
Something changed in me those few minutes after I realized the Daymien was gone. There had been too much loss, too much pain, too many unanswered questions. Finding the people I love meant everything.
Despite Adams protest, I brought everyone into the from and started ransacking the files that I found stored there. There was also a large mainframe computer that I know I wouldn't be able to understand no matter how I tried so I reached out to my group of loyal friends.
"Who knows how to work this computer?"
"I do," Adam said with a bit more attitude then I was in the mood for tolerating.
"I wasn't asking you, you have a separate job. Who is good with computers?"
"I am," a small voice stated.
I turned to look who it was and say my sister standing in the doorway. I know my mom would never forgive me if I got her involved with this but I was starting to believe keeping her in the dark wasn't an option at this point. I also knew that she was too much for me for her to just let it be.
"Zelena you can't......"
"I know they're gone. Dad, your boyfriend, and someone else but I don't know if I know them. I'm good with computers and I know a lot more then I let you believe so let me help," she said with a firm look on her face.
Even though this should've made me concerned it brought a smile to my face, "who are you and what did you do with my baby sister?"
"I'm 11, not a baby. I've known dad was taken for over a year now then I started to feel it. He's closer than before, though, I thought he was coming home. They're all close."
I nodded my head and let her on the computer set glad I had some help. When I looked up to start going through files Adam had this weird look on his face. "What's wrong?"
"She never had powers before, we thought she was a Sêęr. How could this be?" He said looking more disconcerted by the second.
"I've had them along. I can feel people and use my voice in a dangerous way, that's why I don't speak much," Zelena said keeping her eyes focused on the computer.
We all stood around staring at her for a moment. I really needed to find out what happened to this child, but sadly that had to wait.
Looking through the files that I had set before me was quite a job. There were over 200 people who worked for my uncle, well 200 known people, not counting Malique and Luna. Each file had a short description of the person, a picture if they had one, and a list of the things they could do.
Just by going through about five profiles I knew this wasn't going to be an easy fight.

Once we finished looking at all the files and triangulated the area in which my dad, brother, and Daymien were Kam suggested we take a break. I went in my backyard wanting to be alone.
There were so many people that we would have to get through to get to my uncle. He's surrounded himself with a crowd full of powerful beings that all have a thirst for revenge. If they feel anything like what I'm feeling now then I know for sure they won't give up.
I feel a single tear run down my face as I stared off into the distance. I haven't cried since my father was taken. Nothing ever felt like it was good enough to shed tears over and now the tears only make me feel weaker.
I need my family back or I'm going to die trying.
Zelena's POV
Everyone in the house was filled with sadness. I couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my face even though I knew they weren't my tears. I don't know much about powers and all that but I have a feeling that they are t as good as they seem.
"Why are you crying Z?" A tall man my sister called Adam said.
"Why did you call me that? No one calls me that except for my fairy brother."
He laughed, "How do you remember that?"
"I don't, I see him in my dreams. He thinks he's dangerous but he's just misunderstood," I said and turned back to look at the computer.
He was silent for a moment but I could feel his eyes on me, "What did you find?"
I sighed, "I found the location of our missing people and got information on the other girl who was here. There's a heat signature somewhere around the building, I'm guessing for surveillance, and there are over 200 people in there. I have a diagram based off of the heat signatures on how the building is built up."
"Who taught you how to do all this?" he asked while bringing his eyebrows together.
"I told you my fairy brother shows me, well used to show me. I stay in my room a lot and "play with toys" while I work on my computer," I said feeling very awkward.
"What does he look like?"
Before this, I had only talked to the fairy boy with my mom. She told me he was my special imaginary friend(not knowing I knew the meaning of imaginary), so I decided that I shouldn't talk about it with anyone else. For some reason, my gut was telling me that I should show him what he looks like, so I went up to my room and grabbed some of my sketches.
When I showed him the pictures his face became stone cold. I could feel him getting more and more insecure by the moment. He wouldn't meet my eyes no matter where I moved. He was getting more closed off by the second so I reached out and touched his shoulder.
As soon as our skin touched his eyes became a glossy white and his arms grew fur-like hair. His fingers got longer and grew out claws and he went in a crouching position.
"Brother?"
He bolted into a dark corner so I couldn't see him, "Stay away. I'm dangerous, I can't control myself when I'm like this."
"You're not dangerous you misunderstood," I walked over to where he was hiding and brought him up to standing. "See there nothing wrong with you."
He felt very confused and scared, "Why aren't you afraid of me?"
"Because you're my brother, there's nothing to be afraid of. What does this mean? I can't feel it," I said beginning to get concerned. I've never not Ben able to feel what was going on.
"You're my.....but I'm not supposed to have one. This isn't possible."
"What's mate? You keep feeling like that's what I am."
"It means we are partners, but I'm not supposed to be able to have one because I'm different," he said lowering his head and closing his eyes.
"I am too," I whispered.
Jay's POV
"It's time t get back to work everyone. Caine has a whole army ready that much bigger than ours and we need to be able to fight. He has every power under the sun fighting for him but his powers are unknown. We need to practice fighting," I said.
"Jay we've been training with you know for over a month we can fight," Kam said in a small voice.
"So can they but they happen to have years of training. You know what you're right our two months of training will definitely be enough for their years of training."
"Jay calms down," Don said while getting in front of Kam.
"Why the hell should I calm down? I'm trying to save people I gave you guys a choice so if you going to follow me get to work!" I almost screamed.
"You need to calm the fuck down before you hurt someone. You right we aren't as good as them but we will be even worse if you kill us all," Don said.
I looked down at my body and saw the thorns that had started to seep from my hands. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself down.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who released their inner monster," a creature said while walking up from our makeshift headquarters with my sister walking proudly next to them.
"Who the hell are you? Get away from my sister," I said feeling my thorns come back out of my body again.
The creature chuckled, "Chill jay it's me, Adam, in the true flesh," he said flashing a wolfish grin.
"Adam, baby, I'm so proud of you. You can control it now," my mom said as she walked into the room looking like she might burst into tears again.
Adam smiled proudly and grabbed Zelena's hand, "She's my mate Trish. She saved me,"
I didn't understand half the things that were going on but decided this wasn't the right time. We needed more training and I'm pretty sure they've worked on their mouth muscles more than enough, "Get to work everyone,"
