I entered the courtyard where everyone was gathered in a rush. Nearly falling over if it wasn't for someone grabbing me by the waist firmly. I needed to catch my breathe, this is when I noticed seven pairs of eyes landed on me as time seemed to stop.

The eight of us were stuck in this trance for a few moments. No one moved. No one spoke a word. Like no one wanted to break the silence.

This is when I took a good look at the seven pairs of eyes. These eyes belonged to three dhampirs & four moroi, residents of St. Vladimir'. I released a breath I wasn't aware I was holding, time seemingly moving once more.

I pulled the seven aside. They deserved to know everything. "Did any of you feel that ? This is not regular." Jake nodded as he sat on my left, "E' piuttosto strano. I sighed as I needed to tell them what I just learned. I whispered, "We have a special bond. It is called the golden purified, or Purificato d'oro in old moroi. It is why we all seem to be drawn into a trance where time slows down..."

Heeseung spoke up next, "Purificato d'oro ? I've never heard of this. It doesn't make any sense." I knew there was a high risk that they'd think I was lying. This bond was rare & well hidden. There was no way they'd have known otherwise. Jay jumped in next, "Dove ha trovato queste informazioni ?" (Where did you find this information ?)

I had to show them if they were to believe me unfortunately. I lead them into the library as I got the book. I opened it so they could see everything. We kept our voices low as to not draw attention to what we were talking about. "Believe me now ?"

Jungwon read over the page several times before speaking, "What are we to do now ? It isn't like we can tell anyone about this..." My hands were fidgety & my voice was shaky. I had no idea how we were all supposed to deal with this. Ni-Ki grabbed my hand to ease my nerves, "Calm down. The last thing we want is for you to freak yourself out, Haeun."

This was finally when Sunghoon spoke up. There was this air about him. Sensitive, but had layers of walls up. Icy. Dignified. He intrigued me the most. "Non possiamo fare molto in questo momento. So we left it at that. The conversation went completely silent. What was to come of this complicated bond ?
