I was still learning my way around. I ended up bumping into someone. "E' una sua abitudine? Non si può guardare le proprie accuse con questo tipo di tortuosità." (Is this a habit of yours ? You can't watch your charges with this kind of clumsiness.) I looked up to find none other than one of the dhampirs Mari had told me was very formidable. Jay. "Sorry. I am not used to anything yet...", I responded & avoided eye contact.

Jay rolled his eyes as he then proceeded to ask for my name. "Haeun. Han Haeun." He made an expression I couldn't quite place before a scowl took place on his face once more. "Well Haeun, is it ? We'll need to change that."

Almost just quickly as we met I was put in a group for training. I was placed with Jay, Mari, Sunoo, & Ni-Ki. The ranking boards were one of the first things to draw my attention. The top three spots were for the formidable dhampir' I was told about. Mari ranked somewhere at eighth. Jay being in first.

I couldn't explain it, but being around those three dhampirs made me feel off. I've had crushes & idols before. So I knew whatever I was feeling wasn't something I knew of. First I spared with Ni-Ki. I wasn't used to this all. It showed as well.

Ni-Ki wasted no time in getting in some great jabs & even managed to break my nose. "Ouch ! My nose !", I whined as I heard a few people laugh. I knew one of them was Mari, but didn't call her out on that. This when Ni-Ki pointed something out to me. "What kind of dhampir are you, Haeun ? That injury you just took was nothing." So dhampir' can heal themselves ?

Mari quickly swift kicked my legs from under me. I hit the ground hard. "What did you do that for ?", I asked getting annoyed with Mari. Mari smirked as she responded nonchalantly. "Perché state patetiche? Lei è un dhampir. Comincia a comportarsi come uno." (Why are you being pathetic ? You're a dhampir. Start acting like one.)

Training soon was over. I kept to myself when Sunoo approached me with a water bottle. "Still thinking about what Mari said ?" I thanked him for the water, sighing deeply. "It is obvious, is it not ? I'll never fit in here, Sunoo." He didn't seem to agree with me. Sunoo' face having the same expression Jay had earlier. "I think the complete opposite, Haeun. I think you need to have more confidence in your abilities as a dhampir..."

I talked with Sunoo for a bit, but it was cut short when someone relayed a message to me. My father called on me. I needed to rush to see my father.

So I did just that...
