I Scared You
Chapter Five
Wrought with another nightmare, (M/N) had been awakened panting and puffing for some air, chest pounding and pulsating with vicious and violent heartbeats. In an instant, (M/N) had scrambled out of bed and bolted towards the bedroom door, flinging it open and rushing downstairs before halting in surprise. After all, (M/N) had been encountered and met with another one of the Sakamaki brothers, laying atop the sofa and nestled in-between plush pillows with his eyes shut close. Not wanting to disturb him, (M/N) had silently and shyly spun around, bare feet falling against cold and chilly marble tiles in his descent towards the library. "You know, I wouldn't have minded being awoken. Seeing you above me, I would have just thought this was another daydream if only everything didn't feel so real. By the way, I'm Ayato Sakamaki. You've already met my triplet brothers, Laito and Kanato. I hope they behaved themselves with you," Ayato said, while standing up and walking towards (M/N), as the (H/C) haired boy lowered his head and frowned. "Hey, what's wrong? You don't look too well."
Upon rubbing his (E/C) orbs, (M/N) had become instantly embraced and comforted, headache still thumping and thudding away as images of fangs bloodied and dirtied returned. However, (M/N) had soon noticed the trend of his headaches and horrific hallucinations, discerning that they only occurred whenever he had hugged or touched the Sakamaki brothers. As he had realized this, (M/N) had begun trying to think of ways on escaping, trickery and tall tales of all kinds filling his mind in a split second. "I just had a nightmare. But, I'm fine now. So, can you please let go of me?" (M/N) asked, while watching the emerald eyed young man mischievously grin, as (M/N) whimpered and recognized Ayato's smirk from one of his hallucinations about teeth tearing and ripping into flesh. "Will you just let go of me? Please, Ayato."
However, (M/N) had been only yanked closer and cuddled, arms around his hips tenderly tightening and tethering him into an uncomfortable and unreciprocated embrace. Even so, (M/N) hadn't struggled and squirmed around, knowing deep down that he couldn't fight off the redhead and believed conserving enough energy into gathering clues and running away if necessary was more important at the moment than hopelessly struggling and squirming around. But because of his noticeable uneasiness, (M/N) had begun feeling cold hands running up and down his arms, caressing and massaging him but truly teasing and taunting him in a suggestive manner. "No, I can't let you go. If I did, how would I know you'd come back to me?" Ayato asked, while plucking (M/N) up into his arms, as the (H/C) haired boy's breath hitched in his throat and (E/C) eyes squeezed shut in surprise. "I know just the thing that will make you smile again. Before go though, I'll need you need to dress warmer than that."
In due time, (M/N) had been brought to the dark and dingy hallway closet, cluttered and crowded with apparels of all sorts. So, (M/N) had begun being dressed and draped in clothing customized for winter, a fluffy (F/C) jacket descending down over his shoulders and snuggly fitting into place. Then, (M/N) had his neck wrapped and woven around a (F/C) scarf, tied into soon a furry and fuzzy big bow which made him feel like an unwrapped present. Next, (M/N) had his hands stuffed and shoved inside of (F/C) mittens, heating his trembling and tremoring fingers instantly. Lastly, (M/N) had been told to sit down and raise his feet up, (F/C) boots somehow successfully and strangely sliding onto him with no need of adjustments. "Come on, Cinderella! We're gonna go play in the snow," Ayato said, while pinching and pulling on (M/N)'s cheeks, as the (E/C) eyed boy blushed and followed behind the excited redhead. "How about a snowball fight, (M/N)? You better be good at dodging. I won't go easy on you, sweetheart."
In an instant, (M/N) had begun being smacked and striked with snowballs, constantly crashing and crumbling against his legs and behind on purpose. Infuriated, (M/N) started molding and making his own stash of snowballs, piling them in a corner and catapulting them towards the redhead's handsome face. As the the taller boy fell down, (M/N) had begun looking around at his surroundings, trying to figure out which way he should take before choosing right and running. "You little minx, I'm gonna get you back for that!" Ayato cried out, while pinning (M/N) down on top of the snow, as the (H/C) haired boy begun grappling and gasping out loudly from the cold snow soon shoved inside of his nightgown. "How do you like that, babe? I bet you don't. But, I can always warm you up."
As his (E/C) orbs widened and started sparkling with fear, (M/N) had been soon released and freed from the embrace, his captor chuckling and chortling with laughter before collapsing down beside him on top of the snow. But, (M/N)'s lips let loose a soon surprised and startled gasps, his fingers becoming caught captive and clutched tightly before being entangled around the redhead's colder and slender ones. So, (M/N) had turned towards the tall young man, studying and scrutinizing those fascinating and furious emerald green orbs piercing him. "Relax, I'm not going to do anything bad. I'll behave and I promise that to you. So, smile for me and make some snow angels!" Ayato said, while (M/N) sighed and started moving his hands and legs around, as the night sky shimmered and shined with dark hues of inky blues and purples. "You're crying, (M/N). You may not feel it, but I can see it and hear it. I know something is bugging you. Why won't you just tell me?"
With his hand being gripped tighter, (M/N) started staring up at the heavens and his hopelessness grew, feelings of despair soon surfacing and seeding inside the darkest pits of his heart. Even so, (M/N) had begun thinking of all his happiest memories, forcing and fueling himself to think positive and perhaps only logically from now on. Upon turning his head, (M/N) had slightly smiled and settled the redhead's concern, noticing that the taller young man was watching the starry and sparkling skies with disdain and dislike. "May I ask you something, Ayato?" (M/N) said, while the redhead nodded and pierced him once again with those bright emerald green orbs, as the (H/C) haired boy grimaced and remembered those horrible hallucinations of his on purpose this time around. "Do you believe in angels?"
Immediately, (M/N) had heard laughter resonating from the tall redhead, plummeting and plunging his heart into a wild mess of fear. After all, (M/N) concluded that the tall young man had laughed out of non-belief, signifying that his hallucinations might actually be omens and the terrible future coming near. As the redhead started explaining, (M/N) had become more and more afraid, ensuring thought of his hallucinations being omens a whole lot more. "I believe in demons. But, I have my reasons. You might not agree, but you asked me," Ayato said, while peering up at the night sky, as the (E/C) orbed boy started shivering and shaking from the cold. "(M/N), I've seen so many awful atrocities happen to the innocent few. But, I've never seen them, the honest and honorable people, ever be rescued or rewarded for their good deeds. Also, I have my own ... form of god. He loves meddling with our lives, but especially in all of his sons lives the most."
As he hugged himself, (M/N) had turned towards the redhead and reached out, placing his hand atop the bare chest of the tall young man. After all, (M/N) had been surprised and shocked that the redhead wasn't feeling cold at all. However, (M/N) withdrew his hand soon away as a mischievous grin curled and coiled into the taller male's lips from the close contact. But, (M/N) had been yanked and pulled quickly into an embrace and strong arms held him captive. "I'm not saying your angels can't completely exist. I'm just saying I don't believe in them. I mean, I don't see them doing anything useful. Then again, I think angels can exist only if this shithole had hope and purpose. It doesn't, though. You wanna know why?" Ayato asked, while clutching (M/N)'s arms almost in a harsh manner, as the (H/C) haired boy whimpered and winced in pain. "Everything and everyone in this world is hopeless and helpless, deemed not worth saving and all because of gods like mine, ... ruining pretty creations like you just for our hidden agendas. We've won a long time ago, (M/N)."
Upon being pinned down, (M/N) had begun shivering and shaking even more, coldness from the ground seeping into his clothes and body. Even so, (M/N) had been remained strong and endured through the tortuous weather conditions. After all, (M/N) could not understand the redhead and desperately needed to if he was going to live. "Do you think I'm helpless and hopeless, Ayato?" (M/N) asked, while gazing up at the taller young man, as the redhead sincerely smiled and stroked his cheek gently. "Come on, Ayato. Why am I unsavable?"
With a soft chuckle, (M/N) had been kissed on the forehead, icy cold lips brushing against his skin and stealing heat. But, (M/N) had remained unmoving and waited for an answer, (E/C) orbs peering up at the redhead with a desperate pleading expression. In due time though, (M/N) had those same icy cold lips brushing against his ears and answering, a whispering in his ear yet still close for him desiring to get up and run away. "You, my little sweetheart, are damned the most. You're cursed with a fate most haven't survived and you didn't survive it in the beginning. Who knows if you will now, too? Since my father has an interest in you, I have a feeling you're really damned," Ayato said, while (M/N)'s eyelids started to drift close, as the redhead stood and plucked (M/N) into his arms bridal style. "He's the one who brought you back to us. It means you have something valuable for his experiments, a light that will shed the darkness over his failures. You are really hopeless. You're damned to remain in the shadows forever."
A/N: What do you think? Leave me your thoughts.
