I Love You

Chapter Six

Upon hearing strange piano music, (M/N) had been abruptly awakened and turned towards the nightstand, chest pounding with harsh and hammering heartbeats. After finding the lamp's chain and pulling it, (M/N) had his bedroom bathed with light and sighed, breathing calming down just enough to notice an ornate gold musical ballerina box playing on his nightstand. In an instant, (M/N) gasped and started looking around his bedroom, wide (E/C) orbs soon stopping on a silhouette standing in the dark patches of his bedroom. "What do you want?" (M/N) asked, while his back fell against the headboard, as the figure stepped into the light. "Laito?"

Once the young man came closer, (M/N) had his body become tense and tight, muscle movements strained and stiff out of fear. After Laito sat down beside him, (M/N) could barely breathe from fright holding him hostage, filling his head with the things told to him yesterday. However, (M/N) was soon presented with a crown, embedded with sparkling diamonds and designs. "This is for you," Laito said, while placing the crown on top of (M/N)'s head, as the (H/C) haired boy's facial expression changed into pure confusion. "You're my prince and a prince always wears his crown."

In an instant, (M/N) shyly smiled and reached out with his hands to touch the crown, brushing his fingers against the tiny diamonds embedded into the crown. However, (M/N) still couldn't understand why Laito gave him something so precious, especially after they had just met each other and only some few days ago. For this reason, (M/N) lowered his hands and stared curiously at Laito, his (E/C) orbs gazing into Laito's emerald pools with renewed interest. "I don't understand," (M/N) said, while turning his eyes away, as he focused them onto the music box still playing its soothing melody. "Why would you give me this? I've only just met you."

Even so, (M/N) had his hair caressed carefully, (H/C) locks gliding gently in-between Laito's slender index and middle finger. In a moment, (M/N) stiffened and turned his head aside, his lips slightly parting open and a shaky breath slipping out. Then, (M/N)'s (E/C) orbs slid shut in a clenched manner, images of fangs sinking into flesh flooding into his mind once again. "Do you remember, my little prince?" Laito asked, while cupping (M/N)'s face into his hands, as his thumbs gently wiped (M/N)'s teardrops away. "You owe me a dance."

Without hesitation, (M/N) had been pulled out of bed and into a standing position, floorboards creaking as he stumbled onto his feet in the middle of the guest bedroom. After he had found balance, (M/N) was pulled into an embrace, his hips grasped firmly and used to tug him flush against Laito's body. When held securely in place, (M/N) had begun being swayed to the piano music resonating around the bedroom, swayed and twirled around just like the ballerina spinning around in his music box. "You didn't answer my question," (M/N) said, while whimpering from the terrifying images surging across his mind, as Laito mischievously grinned and dipped him. "Please, Laito, I don't understand anything that's going on."

However, (M/N) didn't receive an answer right away, attention diverted from his main goal when Laito's fingers started unbuttoning the first few buttons of his nightgown. In an instant, (M/N) stiffened and curled his fingers around Laito's shoulder, (E/C) orbs widening as Laito leaned down and kissed (M/N)'s chest right above his roughly beating heart. Without hesitation, (M/N) squeezed his (E/C) eyes shut, not able to bear the intense rush of frightful images of teeth tearing into flesh once again. "How can I make you love me?" Laito asked, while brushing his fingers against (M/N)'s delicate neck, as the (H/C) haired boy panicked and started struggling. "Is it even possible anymore?"

When he had squirmed out of Laito's embrace, (M/N) had begun fumbling with his nightgown, buttoning it up with his shaking fingers but also unknowingly pressing himself against the bedroom door. Once his back though touched the door, (M/N) had quickly spun around and grabbed the doorknob, attempting to fling it open yet a hand had reached out and pushed the bedroom door shut. As it slammed shut in his face, (M/N) still desperately tried opening it until he had been turned around, his forearms clutched gently and emerald orbs staring down at him in adoration. "I wouldn't do anything to hurt you," Laito said, while removing his hand from the door, as (M/N) instantly turned the knob and stepped out into the desolate hallway. "That doesn't mean I'm letting you go. We haven't finished our dance yet."

In a moment, (M/N) had been plucked into Laito's arms, effortlessly carried to the ballroom and set down onto his feet in the middle of giant hall. Upon watching Laito fiddle with the grand piano, (M/N) nervously stood in the center of the ballroom, trembling and hugging himself for some comfort as piano music started suddenly echoing around him. Once Laito turned to look at him, (M/N) sighed in exhaustion and lowered his arms, inviting Laito to twirl and spin him around just as he had promised a few days earlier. "Now where were we?" Laito asked, while slowly swaying him around in the darkness, as (M/N) raised his (E/C) orbs and gasped. "What's wrong?"

Even though his head was spinning, (M/N) just couldn't deny the fangs he had spotted, sharpy and shiny just like from the terrifying hallucinations plaguing him. Since the beginning of his demented delusions, (M/N) couldn't understand why his hallucinations only occurred from being touched, especially by the Sakamaki brothers. In fact, (M/N)'s hallucinations were getting stronger and stronger now, not only were the terrifying images getting more violent but also screams were erupting inside of his head. "Can we please stop?" (M/N) asked, while looking around the ballroom, as the mysterious screams ringing inside of his head and piano music started getting louder. "L-Laito?"

However, (M/N) just continued being twirled around, his plea ignored for the pleasure of dancing and music. Even so, (M/N) realized something about his hallucinations, which were being triggered by the Sakamaki brothers for some strange reason. Though before he had encountered the Sakamaki family, (M/N) only experienced hallucinations as a child, stopping after intense therapy and then decreasing to only nightmares before disappearing forever. And yet, (M/N) understood that his current situation could be resurfacing his hallucinations again, but shouldn't they be nicer hallucinations to cope with being held captive? Did (M/N) even need a false reality to cope anyway, if his captors aren't homicidal maniacs? So, why were his hallucinations resurfacing? Could they mean something much more? "You look tired," Laito said, while chuckling and dipping (M/N), as (M/N)'s hand fell from Laito's shoulder and hung loosely at his side and his (E/C) eyes drifted shut and plunged him into darkness, with the sound of his crown clattering against the floor being the last thing he hears. "Sweet dreams, my little prince."

A/N: What do you think? Leave me your thoughts.
