Engene slowly opened her eyes. The lighting in the room she was in was heavily dimmed. "너무 빨리 움직이지 마세요. 그것은 당신의 혈액을 현재보다 더 강하게 만들어 줄 것입니다." (Don't move too quick. It'll make your bloodlust stronger than what it is at the moment.) She looked over finding Heeseung. Why was he here ? Why was the room so dim ? 

Engene sat herself up slowly. "왜요? 여긴 왜 왔어요? 우리가 어디에 있지요?" (Why ? Why are you here ? Where are we ?) Heeseung sighed. He knew she would be distant. It was expected. For she never really had the best impression of him or vampires. "You might not remember, but the manor burned down. We're now in a secluded area away from humans..." 

He wasn't lying. The vampire princes felt it was better to protect their species by keeping less contact with the human world. Engene thought back to what he said when she initially opened her eyes. Bloodlust. This was something she clearly remembered hearing. "What is this about bloodlust then ? What are you keeping from me ?" Heeseung motioned to his fangs & red eyes. He hoped she'd catch on to what he was kind of saying. 

"Are you saying I'm a vampire ? Why ? Why did one of you turn me ?" Heeseung knew she wouldn't accept anything at the moment. Her shock was probably the strongest emotion she could be feeling at the moment. "You charged into the manor & inhaled too much smoke & ash. I carried you out..." Engene scoffed growing angry. "우리 부모님은요? 사람들은 내가 죽었다고 생각하나요? 다시는 그들을 볼 수 없어요, 그렇죠?" (What about my parents ? Do people think I died ? I can never see them again, can I ?)

Despite how she came to understand the princes, they did allow her time to spend with her family when she wasn't at the manor. Heeseung hated to be the one to tell her the news, but it was crucial that Engene understood what was happening to her. "I am sorry, Engene. But it was either let you die from the smoke in your lungs, or I turned you." Engene slapped him. He made no argument against her either. "You basically killed me. Don't treat this like a debt repaid."

Jungwon soon entered the dark room with blood bags for Engene. "You should drink up. Preserve your strength..." Engene had a softer spot for the maknae vampires. She drank some blood. It tasted good. Real good. However, she also felt like throwing the blood up. A human turned vampire. That is what she was now. "Thank you, Jungwon."

She quickly finished the blood bags Jungwon had given her. It was about nine of them. Her bloodlust was very intense. Engene wiped the blood from around her mouth before rising from where she sat. Her dark gaze fell upon Heeseung. Her final words was nothing short of threatening.

"제 감사를 다른 것으로 착각하지 마세요. 당신과 당신이 옹호하는 모든 것이 싫어요. 전 결코 이 삶을 원하지 않았어요. 난 뱀파이어가 되고 싶지 않았어요...내 분노를 조심하세요. 나는 당신의 몰락이 될 것입니다. 당신을 끝장내겠어요." (Don't mistake my gratitude for anything else.
