Chapter five: Not David

For the past three weeks, the name David had bugged Jungkook so much that he had trouble sleeping at night.

And on top of that, his parents were bugging him to visit the Beckham family, he had ignored them by locking himself inside the house library reading, first all the books he had bought, he had re-read Fangs at least six times in those weeks mostly because he needed to collect some information about that goddamn David guy.

Then he read some other books.

While spying on his parents a few times he had overheard them talking about the town and about the killings.

Jungkook decided that had to get on their good side so he could take yet another trip to the town to find the vampire.

"Mother?" Jungkook knocked on their bedroom door and they stopped talking immediately.

The door opened as Jungkook moved out of the way, his parents came walking out at looked at him.

Jungkook had planned out how he was going to do this "Can I please go to the town to buy a new book, I need it to practice my speech at the wedding in the future with Samantha." He wanted to puke at the thought of marrying that girl.

His mother's eyes brightened "Oh, of course, you can! Just be careful, do you need to bring Hoseok with you?"

"No mother, Hoseok is busy at the moment, I don't want to disturb him." Jungkook glanced at his father to see what his response was, his father nodded "Well I will get going now." and with that, he ran away from them.

As he got outside he couldn't contain his excitement and bounced up and down as he walked out of the garden, past the guards then out of the Jeon property.

Jungkook smiled as he walked into the town, it was quite close to where he lived so he got there fast. 'Today I'm going to solve this David mystery.' He thought to himself as he passed some food stalls 'I know that is a vampire so to lure him out, I will go the alley I met him in then make myself bleed and- OH MY GOD IS THAT  A BLANCMANGE STALL!?"

The boy legit began running towards the food like a young child, his eyes were sparkling as he looked at the tasty treat.

But just as he were about to step into the line a blonde person, slightly shorter than him, stepped right in front of him.

"Hi, how much is this?" He said pointing at the last white dessert.

Jungkook's excitement was replaced with nervousness, he really wanted it.

The lady behind the stall picked up a note "Hmm the Blancmange costs about two pounds."

He swallowed a lump, waiting for what the boy would say.

"I won't take it, but can I take that bread instead?"

Jungkook wanted to scream in joy but held his mouth shut and just as the boy walked away with his bread, he was fats to find his money and pay for the treat.

Then he walked away, happily eating the treat, that's when he remembered about his so-called mission.

He threw away the trash and began looking for the right alley.

That was going to be hard, knowing that London had at least 700 alleys (maybe not that many) and he was looking for one in particular and most of them were identical to each other.

After some walking, he finally reached the bookstore, from there he just had to walk the same way he did some weeks ago then if he were lucky he would find the right one.

He nodded to himself feeling satisfied with his plan there were 100% fail free.

Then he started to walk, he counted his steps for no reason, he recognized the road where he had talked with that fat lady, then he just had to use his brain to find the road where he nearly was killed by a horse.

And it looked like today was his lucky day because first of all, he found the right one, seconds of all he recognized one of the voices coming from the alley and lastly, he saw a candy store right beside. 

He sneaked into the alley, carefully and quietly, then he hid behind a barrel for some seconds then continued to walk.

But it seemed like his luck went away just as he tripped over something fell forward and landed on his knees scraping them in process. He felt his knees sting and the voices stopped talking.

Jungkook panicked and hid inside the barrel.

"Jimin I swear I heard something." Jungkook recognized the voice as David and today he was going to solve the mystery of him.

"Taehyung you're either crazy or- nevermind can you smell it?" the other one said.

Jungkook accidentally lets a gasp escape his lips as he heard the name Taehyung.

"The barrel?"

Suddenly he felt the barrel move then it began rolling, he was sure going to get sick after this trip.

Maybe after an hour of rolling, it finally stopped much to Jungkook's delight.

"What the hell are you two doing!?" a third and new voice said.

Jungkook froze inside the dark barrel waiting for the two other's reply.

"Help us carry this up, he's heavy," Taehyung said and Jungkook wanted to scream.

"He?"

"Yes, he now help us you lazy ass."

Again the barrel began moving, but not rolling this time.

The moving stopped and it got placed down upside down making Jungkook sit on his face, it was a quite uncomfortable position.

"No you idiot, it's upside down!"

Jungkook thanked whoever said that.

It got placed on its right side, then the lid got removed, filling the whole barrel with light, Jungkook squinted at the bright light.

"Why did you two kidnap a child?"

"Hey! I'm not a child!" Jungkook jumped up which was a bad idea, the sudden movement made the barrel wobble then it fell forward sending Jungkook crashing right into one of the persons or better-called vampires.

He looked up from the person's chest and then jumped like six feets away from him "I knew your name wasn't David!" Jungkook pointed a finger at the vampire in the middle, also now known as Taehyung.

The two vampires gave the two of them a confused stare.

Taehyung gasped sarcastically "Oh wow you got me good!" his sentence dripped with sarcasm.

Jungkook wanted to say something back but the words got stuck in his throat.

"What is going on here?" 

All of their heads turned towards the owner of the voice, the handsome male Jungkook recognized as the male from the market the same day he met Taehyung came walking down the stairs, his hair messily done.

The light pink haired male noticed Jungkook and gasped "Oh! You're that cute little boy I bumped into on the market!" He said excitement and ran over to him to give him a hug.

Jungkook froze in either fear or embarrassment, the male lets go of him "I'm Seokjin or Jin for short, and you must be Jeon Jungkook am I right?"

The younger nodded, he was confused by how Jin knew his name.

"Jin how do you know his name?" A tall male said.

"Namjoon I know everybody in this town!" Jin flipped his hair smiling brightly, he then turned gloomy "Because I don't have a life I sit at home and study each and everybody's name and face."

A shorter male beside Namjoon tilted his head "But I thought you were in the vampire council?"

"Jimin, Jin hasn't been there since ten years ago." Taehyung bumped into Jimin sending him flying a few meters.

By the looks of it, it seemed like they all forgot about Jungkook so he was kinda awkawødy standing there.

Jungkook tried to walk away but Jin grabbed him by the shoulder "Now, now Jungkook I think you can stay the night. Don't worry we don't bite. Well not me and Namjoon, I'm not sure about Taehyung and Jimin over there."

Jungkook gulped nervously.

"And this is your room for tonight I guess." Jimin opened up a door to a big room, Jungkook wanted to fling himself out of the window because of the awkward silence between the two.

He did not want to be here right now.

Jimin placed a hand on his shoulder "Don't be afraid, well you can be of Taehyung but not me, I'm Jimin like you know since you probably heard them say my name and I saw you earlier today at the food stall, hope you liked that dessert." with that he walked away.

Jungkook walked into the room, closing the door behind him, so the guy earlier today was Jimin who also wanted to get the treat but he faked that he didn't want it for him?

He shook his head and walked up to the bed "Hope mother and father won't be angry at me for staying here all night."
