Chapter 1: Beach City Arrival
A teenage girl sat in the dirty bus as it drove down the road. Her gaze was trained to the passing scenery. Her greenish black hair was tied back in a low hanging ponytail that was hidden in her hoodie. She turned her gaze away from the outside and sighed touching her chest as she closed her crimson eyes. She hoped sleep would help the trip go by faster. They day flew by as she slept for the first time in two days. When she woke it was night. She saw a sign barely readable in the darkness. It read : Welcome to Beach City. Her eyes lit up with joy when she saw the sign. "Finally... I can get some answers." She said softly to herself. The bus came to a stop and the smell of ocean water filled her nose as she stepped off the bus. The bus took off after unloading a small suitcase of hers. After it left reality set in. "I have absolutely no idea where to start." She said placing her face in her hands. She had come to find out info on her mom but now had no idea where to find the info. She let out a sigh as she walked down the lit up boardwalk. "Man what am I going to do..." She muttered to herself as she rubbed her temples. "This has to be the worst choice ever." She shook her head to fight away the tears. She hated the fact that she let her hurt from her father drive her away and now she was stuck looking for a woman that may not even be there. She had no idea where to go let alone who she should speak to. She took one look around and took off running. She hopped off the boardwalk and hit the sand. She ran on the beach for a bit before collapsing into tears. She flung her hoodie of and hugged her knees to her chest. the heart shaped gem on her chest glimmered in the moons beams on light. "How could I fail so badly. This was my only shot and I missed. This can't be happening." She cried out as she picked up a hand full of sand and watched as the grains slipped through her finger. Once the sand drained from her hand she pulled the ponytail out of her hair and slipped it onto her wrist before running her hands through her hair as she tried to pull herself together. "Come on Bayle... you screwed up worse than this before." She said trying to make herself feel confident even though she could hear the shakiness of her own voice. "I-I don't think I can do this mom... Why did you have to do this." She lost control as the tears began to flow covering her checks. She lost herself and cried in the bright moon light.
