My world was shattered,

Yet the only thing that was keeping me sane,

Was opening a book.

A book where your worries,

Drift away to another dimension.

Flipping through every page,

You dream of becoming a woman so strong,

Just like the one in the books,

Comes to exist.

Sometimes I ponder,

Why objects are better than humans,

Now I do know why.

These books were my faithful companions,

When humans found a way to betray me.

My book was their for me,

From very panic attack, to every happy moment I lived.

It's filled with tears and happiness,

Yet it kept me at peace.

It took all my broken pieces,

And pieced me till I became whole.

I will forever be in debt to you,

My favorite friend to ever exist,

I love you my book.
