The bell of the cafe rang signalling a customer. Scarlett looked up with a smile which immediately wiped off her face when she saw who entered. The woman took a seat beside the window looking less concerned. Scarlett looked around the cafe and rushed to the woman's table.

   "What the heck are you doing here?" Scarlett asked the representative of the witches'council and the woman smiled at her.

  "I'm obviously not here to sit and drink coffee with you so take a seat" the woman said and Scarlett looked at the scanty cafe before taking a seat. "I was informed that you have been snooping around the mages' business. I thought I clearly told you not to concern yourself with whatever they do" she said and Scarlett scoffed.

   "How is it any of your business?" Scarlett asked and the woman folded her arms.

   "To you, it's just a child's play but you are a witch whether you like it or not and you carry our image so don't go around and dig up buried feuds" the woman warned.

   "With all due respect, I don't care if you carry any prestigious image around or anything but what's my business is my business so just stay in your area of jurisdiction." Scarlett said before standing up, "since you are not here to add green notes to our account, I suggest you leave" she added. The woman laughed but the flames of anger in her burned in her eyes.

   "I won't be this kind next time" she said before leaving the cafe. Scarlett placed her hand on her chest before sighing. She didn't expect her quiet afternoon will end up like that.

   "Kids, thank goodness you are here. Colonel Bradford will be here soon so we can discuss..." The sheriff started but Sean cut him off.

   "Sorry uncle but we know the mages' current hideout" Sean said immediately.

   "How did you find them?" Frank asked.

   "We staked out yesterday night and found them moving to a house in the forest" Micheal replied and the mayor rubbed his chin in thought.

   "If what you are saying is true then we can't stay idle and wait for those demons to attack" the mayor said, "we must be faster than them" he added.

   "What are you saying mayor?" The sheriff asked and the mayor looked at the two boys in front of him.

   "We must attack" he stated.

    "Dax" the leader simply called and Dax rushed to his side. The leader stood gazing at the ancient building in front of him wondering how strong yet old the old house was. "They found out about this place" he said and Dax looked at him in surprise.

   "Are we moving again sir?" He asked and the leader shook his head.

   "No, why don't we end this once and for all?" He said lowly.

  The entire witch hunters gathered in the field surrounding the mayor's house. Even those from out of the town were present. The mayor cleared the throat rendering everyone silent.

   "You all know why I'm here, it's time to end the witches for good. Everyone both home and those abroad are all present for this final battle." He said and the witch hunters smiled in pride, " We are going to first send out our special unit to observe the witches' full potential and when that is done, we send out our A team which will be headed by Zayn." He announced and Zayn looked at him in surprise.

   "What can the police do to help, sir?" The sheriff asked the mayor who nodded.

   "You and the police force both the witch hunters among them and the normal ones will make sure no witch leaves the arena." He replied, "Those in the A team are Zayn the leader, Micheal the coordinator, V who will set off the final blow, Sean, Elora.." he started.

   "I thought she's in the military" V said looking at her brother in surprise.

   "She came back just for this battle" the Mayor replied and V and Micheal shared knowing looks. "Those who were called wait behind after this assembly" the mayor said.

    "With great power comes great responsibility soldiers" the mayor said looking at the members of the A team. "You have a bigger role to play than the rest to the hunters. You were not chosen because you are in one way or the other related to the founding families but because of the great potential you have shown" he added.

   The door opened and a woman in her early twenties came in. She was dressed in full military uniform. "Sorry I'm late. My flight was postponed." she said quickly and the mayor nodded curtly. She gave V and the rest a look as if accessing them before looking at the mayor.

   "If things go sideways that day, V and Zayn will release our secret weapon" the sheriff said and all in the A team except V and Zayn looked at him in confusion. "V give them a rundown on what the weapon is for" he said and V summarized what the witch bomb was for.

   "When do you plan all these?" Micheal asked and V shrugged. "Why am I not surprised you know about it?" He mumbled to himself.

   "We have one shot at this. There should be no mistakes. Do you understand?" The mayor said and they all nodded.

  "Cous why didn't you tell us you were coming back?" Micheal asked and Elora smiled ruffling his hair.

  "It'll kill the surprise then" she replied before looking at V who had an annoyed expression on her face. "Aw don't be mad at me  Vienna" she cooed. V swatted Elora's hand away from her cheeks.

   "I literally called you yesterday and you told me you weren't coming back. You should have told me of all people" V complained.

   "Oh come on. I'm sorry ok?" Elora pleased but V just kept on looking at her phone. "What do want as a peace offering?" She asked and V's ears perked up.

  "I'll get you the list later" V said before walking out of the house.

   He looked at the happy, hopeful and optimistic hunters and smirked. How sad it'll be to watch them all drop dead on that day, he thought sipping the coffee he was holding.
