Chapter Four

"The library is closing in ten minutes, you can either take your leave or I'll lock you all in here." the scary librarian said in a bored voice. It's been like two hours since we've been here, uncle Russell has read the book over and over again, he even made me read it yet we couldn't find anything.

"I can't believe we came here for nothing." Sean complained, ever since the girl in black left, Sean has been complaining many times and he even took a thirty minutes nap when he was not complaining.

"Let's take the book home, maybe if we calm down, we'll find something." uncle Russell said taking the book with him. I nodded in agreement and took my stuff.

"What's your address?" Uncle Russell asked Sean while opening his car. Sean told him his address and muttered, "it's not like I have anyone to go home to."

"Sean, where is your phone?" I asked him noticing he wasn't holding it like he usually does.

"Oh shoot!" He exclaimed checking his pockets, "it's in the library." he said going back inside, silly kid. I turned to uncle Russell and gave him the puppy dog eyes.

"Uncle Russell.." I called slowly opening the passenger seat.

"What do you want?" He sighed.

"Sean's parents are always out of town. Although he does not say it, he actually feels lonely all the time." I started.

"What's your point?" He asked looking at me.

"Can Sean stay at your place for tonight?" I asked and uncle Russell raised his eyebrows at me, " just for tonight, please?"

"Just for tonight." uncle Russell warned sighing. Sean entered the backseat with his phone.

"Good thing the library lady let you in." I said. I was thinking she'd trap him in there and eat his soul or something.

"Yeah, she kept on giving me a strange disturbing look." Sean shuddered and I laughed.

   "What look?" I asked

"The same look you give -" he paused and looked at uncle Russell, "- Chris Hemsworth putting on a shirt". I widened my eyes at him and uncle Russell glanced at at Sean through the rear view mirror.

"So... Sean and library lady sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I- "

   "Ew no! Stop!" Sean yelled.

"I feel like I'm babysitting two kids, maybe it's because I am." uncle Russell said more to himself

   "Guess what?!" I asked excited.

"What?" Sean asked rolling his eyes at my childishness.

"We are having a sleepover!" I exclaimed.

"Wait what?!" Sean asked trying not to show his happiness.

"Mhmm, just like when we were kids." I replied and uncle Russell groaned.
******
"Sean, you room is over there at the end of the hall, mine is in the middle and Camilla's is in the other end so nobody should try anything funny." uncle Russell said removing his coat.

"What about the book?" I asked yawning, it's been a long day.

"Tomorrow, we'll continue. I'm sure the both of you are exhausted." uncle Russell said, " I'll go make dinner and... Where is Sean?" I looked around only to see Sean running down the stairs happily.

"The room looks so luxurious and the bed is so comfortable" Sean grinned.

"This kid.." uncle Russell muttered. I smiled and sat down on the couch in the living room.

"Has this key hole always been here?" Sean asked looking at the book. I took a closer look at the book and saw a key hole on the book.

"I'm not sure" I mused tracing my finger along the old key hole on the book. I opened the book and I didn't see any sign of an opening or a hole.

"Let me check something" Sean said running upstairs. He came back a few seconds later with a bunch of keys in his hands. "Everything in this house looks antique and so does this key hole maybe one of these keys can open it or something"

"Where did you even get those keys from?" I asked him

"My room, your room and ehem's room." Sean said and I widened my eyes.

"You went to uncle's room?!" I whisper yelled, "he'll kill you."

"Well if this works, he'll not realize I went to his room and if he does he'll probably not be that mad at me." Sean explained with his stupid logic.

"Let's just hope it works." I said hopefully. Sean started testing the keys one after the other and after much tries, one of the keys entered and Sean turned it and the book started glowing.

   "What's happening?" Sean asked nervously.

"Uncle Russell, come and see!" I called out immediately and uncle Russell came out putting on a funny looking apron. I quickly explained everything that was happening in less than ten seconds. The book stopped glowing and uncle Russell went closer to it and opened it.

"Everything written inside has changed." uncle Russell whispered and I looked inside the book. The book was now divided into sections.

"ANTAGONISTS TO MY PICTURE PERFECT LIFE"

"The title is so cliché." Sean scoffed. "There are like a thousand names in this book" Sean said and I nodded in agreement.

"It's catalogued, we can go straight to 'F' and look for Fredrick's name" uncle Russell said turning the pages.

"What's his last name?" I asked

  "Willard" uncle Russell stated.

"What about dinner?" Sean asked suddenly and I rolled my eyes at him.
*******
"Did she really turn someone into a frog? I thought that only happens in fairy tales." Sean said

"There are about five people with the name Fredrick Willard. How do we know which one's our guy?" I groaned stretching my back.

"How can there be five people with exactly the same name?" Sean said from the other side of the sofa where he was just chilling.

"The name was quite popular back in the day." uncle Russell replied, "I think it's this one, look." I looked at the page immediately and read the part uncle Russell was pointing at.

"Fredrick Willard, i trusted the fellow but he betrayed me. I didn't know he was full of deceit. I gave him what he wanted and he ran away with my pay. He now carries a curse that will be with him and his desendants to come.."

"How do we know this is the Fredrick we are looking for?" I asked still not sure.

"Remember, I told you that the people who lived in the small town Fredrick came from said that he met a woman that has magical powers two days before he moved out. His journal also stated that he asked Azura for a favour but the pay is large. This is most likely the Fredrick we are looking for." uncle Russell explained.

"If this happened in the 1930's as you said, shouldn't Azura be dead by now?" I asked again and Sean shook his head.

"Have you read any supernatural books at all? She should have eternal life or immortality." Sean said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"This is real life not one of your books." I argued.

   "But -"

"This looks like an address." uncle Russell said cutting of our banter.

"Does this street even exist?" I asked looking at the strange name on the address.

"Many things has changed since that time so the name must've changed by now." he explained, "I have a friend in the government office that can tell me the current name of this street."

"What happens when we find the house? It's not like she's still be alive or the house will be empty." I said.

"She might be very old, like those princess stuff you watch. An old witch that is looking for an apple, potion or a pair of shoes that'll make her young again." Sean said in a dramatic voice.

"It might sound crazy but I agree with him. There is a possibility that she's still alive." uncle Russell said making Sean smile proudly.

   "Fine." I said giving in.

"I'll go to the address tomorrow and check if I can find something." uncle Russell said standing up.

"I'm positive we'll find something." Sean said.

"Wait a minute, we?" Uncle Russell asked and I looked at him confused, "I'm going alone whether you kids like it or not."

   "But -" I tried arguing.

"No buts, let's go have dinner." uncle Russell finalized and left the room. Sean and I followed him and an idea popped into my head.

        Third person POV

   "Scarlett help us.."

    "Scarlett can you please help.."

    "Scarlett!"

She woke up again for the third time that night. Her hair was sticking all over her face, beads of sweat trickled down her forehead and chin. She took a couple of deep breaths and wiped her forehead. She kept on having a recurring dream that doesn't stop. A girl, a boy and an older looking man that were asking her for help. Who are those people? She thought. She knew she had to find whoever those people are if she wanted to stop having the same dream that kept her pulse racing. She laid back down on her bed and tried to get some sleep again but she knew it was going to be hard.

   "Goodnight grandma" she whispered softly.
