"Gooooooodmorning world! My name is Isaiah Montgommery, and I'm reporting to you live from the Northern Royal Palace. It's the day after the big blowout bash that was the Welcoming ball, and I couldn't be more excited to be covering the selection for all you beautiful people out there. For those of you who have yet to hear, both Northern royals Prince Laurens Pierre Martin and Diego Paolo Bianchi are holding the age-old tradition of a selection in their very home. 24 women from the Eastern, Southern, and Western provinces have come to compete for their love, but in the end only two will be victorious. To give you an update on some of the events that happened at the masquerade party last night, here's Maddy Dartner with the inside scoop."

"Thanks, Isaiah! Now, as all of you sitting at home can imagine, last night was one event of glitz and glamour, and it really got this whole selection off to a wonderful start. The results are in of the polls we sent out last night on which selected had the best masks, and here they are: Lady Amara Marlene Baier ((Allyn_Racki)) from the Western province won most original with her steam-punk styled owl mask. Truly stunning! Also from the West, Lady Ahyoka Incharwe ((GiselleSinger)) won best in show with her gorgeous fox mask. And finally, Princess Rosiana Ray Thompson ((bookaddiction0803)) won our "breathtaking" award with a stunning butterfly mask! Now, what we've all been waiting for: The inside scoop on some of the HOTTEST DRAMA!"

"First off to get politics out of the way, the Northern King Maximus Martin ((GiselleSinger))  was spotted having a very heated discussion with the Western King Jonah Ryder ((bravemave)). Things only got even tenser, however, when Eastern King Nicolas Rodriguez ((Allyn_Racki)) butted in with his own personal opinions. Although the matter they were discussion is unknown, it was pretty obvious that there was some serious tension between the trio. Hopefully things calm down otherwise we might have a mess on our hands!"

"Although both Prince Laurens and Lord Diego were spotted several times getting pretty close to some of the selected, things did get a bit out of control when alcohol was added into the mixture. Both royals were seen leaving the palace alone with selected individuals on multiple occasions, which only begs us to ask the question: What were they REALLY doing that needed that much privacy?"

"For all you #Laurida shippers out there, the pair were spotted towards the beginning of the night throwing flirty lines towards each other from left to right. For any selected that might consider having a relationship with Prince Laurens, watch out, because it seems like Princess Rida Ryder from the Western Province ((AstroDoodles)) is a serious competitor!"

"Speaking of intimacy, one of the selected might be trying to get things moving way too quickly! An inside source told one of our reporters that they spotted Princess Rosiana Ray Thompson ((bookaddiction0803)) from the Southern Province inviting herself inside of Lord Diego's room! OMG, right! Diego seemed to shut down the situation almost immediately, but could you imagine what could have happened? #DramaAlert!"

"Unfortunately last night, we had to say goodbye to two of our beloved selected. As surprising as it sounds, one selected from the Eastern province actually failed to show up! She will be fined heavily by the royal family for such an embarrassment, and must feel truly awful as of now. ((apotelemas)). On the other hand, Lady Billie Iris Franx ((HunieWrites)) was found highly intoxicated and making out with a guard on the balcony just outside of the ballroom! Talk about lewd! Ms. Franx was fined heavily for this event and immediately removed from the palace and banned from the Northern Province. As for the guard, he was fired on the spot and also banned from the Northern Province. Talk about a shocker!"

"Although that barely covers everything that happened last night at the welcoming ball, unfortunately that's all the time we have right now. Back to you, Isaiah!"

"Thanks, Maddy. Now although we might be done talking about the Welcoming Ball last night there is still plenty of drama to cover. Maddy and I both sat down one-on-one with each selected this morning and asked them a little bit about themselves, and tried to get a real feel for who they were and why they were here. When asked which royal each selected wanted to court, we got mixed responses, but were surprised to see that most women found the mysterious Lord Diego to be very tempting."

"First off, to get the boring out of the way, unfortunately a whopping six selected never showed up for the interviews, which REALLY left a good first impression . . . . NOT. I guess that Ladies Dorothy Azikwe ((gabbyblues)), Elizabeth Rose Clark, Adyra Singh ((ThePsychoFairy)), Alyssa Adelaide ((Hotsnow)), Demitria Parker and even Princess Akio Kiohara from the East ((gabbyblues)) were unable to get over their hangovers and suck it up for a few questions. Whatever, though, it's their own faults!"

"Getting back to more exciting news, many of the conversations held with the selected were . . . quite interesting. As an example, Lady Remi Brinn Haze ((bunnerfly)) from the Western Province completely lashed out on our dear Maddy Darnter when she was asked the simple question of what she thought of the selection! Inside reporters have revealed, though, that Remi's immediate family have been involved with smuggling drugs in and out of the West. With a family history like that, it only makes you wonder if she's really here for true love, or just in it for the money..."

"Speaking of drama, another inside source tells us that the lovely Lady Adyra Singh ((ThePsychoFairy)) might not be as innocent as she seems. Victims from her past have come forward to state that she would verbally and physically abuse them in grade school, and many have become traumatized from her bullying. Ouch! It almost makes you wonder, if Prince Laurens or Lord Diego does something wrong around them, should they be expecting a punch to the face?"

"Finally, there is the matter of eliminations: Unfortunately the night after the welcoming ball, we lost two more of the selected in this competition. With little notice, Lady Elizabeth Rose Clark ((EmmaTheHufflepuff)) from the Western Province left the palace very early in the morning suddenly, due to an immediate death in the family. The Martins send her well wishes as she grieves her loss. Another selected, Lady Demitria Brooklyn Parker ((Originaljaime)) from the Southern selected turned down the position of competing in the selection after her childhood sweetheart confessed his love for her, and she ran away in the dead of night. A warrant has been sent out to find her and fine her for the sudden abandonment, but as of now, there have been no sightings of her or her now-boyfriend."

"And just like that, it's down to 20 selected! Now, the moment we have all been waiting for. A new announcement directly from the palace is going to inform us who will be courting which prince for the first half of this selection. For those of you who don't know, the now 20 women will be divided evenly and randomly among st both princes, and will court ONLY that one prince for a period of time, until a switch occurs. ((OH BOY YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THAT TOOK TO TYPE OUT. Anyways, I hope everyone is satisfied with everything that has happened so far! I'm sorry if you didn't get the prince you wanted for the first part, but we will be switching, so for now just try to test your chemistry with the prince assigned to you. As rumored, yes, the next big event will be a beach party! I will be posting the chapter on August 17th, when I officially get back from vacation.
