004.WILLOW
Cassidy hadn't felt so free in such a long time. She hums a sigh and stretches her arms high above her head underneathe the trees branches. She smiles a little to herself and hears a giggling. She turns and looks at a small girl running over to her. She jumps into Cassidy's arms and hugs her tightly.
"Mommyyyyyy-why are you outside again? You said we'd play Princesses!" The little girl wails.
"Willow, why don't you go spend some time with you grandfather? He's gotta go back to his home tomorrow!" Cassidy chimes to her daughter. Willow grumbles and huffs her golden brown hair out of her face.
"He doesnt have to leave! I don't see why he cant stay longer!!!" Willow whines. Cassidy laughs weakly and looks over at Markus who was standing on the porch with his arms crossed toghtly across his chest. Even from far away, Cass could feel his smile radiating.
She adored her father, he had been there to help Cassidy with Willow after her father seemingly vanished off the face of the earth. Nobody could really tell who the young girls father was either, she was a spitting image of her mother. Cassidy prefered it that way if she was honest.
"Go see Papa, Willow. Im gonna stay outside for a few more moments...then I'll come make lunch okay?" Willow's blue-green eyes dart across her mothers face before she grumbles stubbornly and nods. The little girl stands and sprints back to her grandfather on the porch who lifts her onto his shouldees, shiftomg to his large wolf form and prancing around with the small child on his back.
Cassidy watched for a moment and smiled warmly, before she turned her attention back to the sky. She sighs and leans her head back against the tree trunk behind her.
"I wouldn't leave you, I would hold you...when the last day comes...what if you need me...? Would you hold me? On our last day...our last day..." Cassidy sang softly under her breath. Her fingers ran over her ring and she felt the tears sting her eyes.
'That damn wedding song...' she thinks to herself and laughs a little, shaking her head. The 28 year old woman stands to her feet and runs quickly over to her father and her daughter.
"DAD WAIT WAIT WAIT! HOLD STILL!" She laughs.
