AUTHORS NOTE

please don't be a silent reader. I want to hear any thoughts, even if they're criticisms.

this is going to be a slow burn finnick odair love story. they don't even meet until after her games, and they're both traumatized. if you're looking for a quick romance, this book isn't for you.

content warnings: the typical hunger games ones (descriptions of violence, gore, death, forced prostitution, themes of war). this will get dark, and heavy, so keep that in mind. i'm going to be diving into the mindset of the career pack: nerissa wants to be in the games, she's raised to consider it the biggest honor. with that said, she's going to be an unreliable narrator, because trauma does that to people. i'm also going to be writing about the capitol, and the way victors are treated after they win (such as finnick being forced into prostitution at sixteen.) i won't write any of those scenes, of course, but it will be heavily discussed. i can't write a finnick fic and NOT include his traumas. if anyone has any questions about any of this, please ask at any time. i'll do what i can to avoid triggering anyone.
