After a very long time being spent in Lanling, Jin Guangyao and Su She are locked in Hua Cheng's dungeon in Ghost City where they will be tortured forever until there is nothing left of them, not even a speck will have a chance at rebirth. As for Lan Wangji's so called wife he was supposed to marry, her spiritual energy and golden core were taken and she was secluded in a mountain where she will live the rest of her life alone until her death. Her soul would then be ripped apart and never to be reborn. Luckily Lan Xichen was willing to repent, therefore he only had his powers sealed by a cursed shackle and was in a secluded mountain for five years.

Jiang Wanyin was willing to repent and his body was mended so he could cultivate a new core, not given a new one. If he really wanted to cultivate, he had to work for it. He had to change his ways as Xie Lian will be watching over him. If there is anything that Xie Lian finds he does not like, Jiang Wanyin will have to pay the price for it.

Now, Hua Cheng, Xie Lian, and Lan Qiren sat down with Hua Ying and Wangji to talk about their relationship and the next step for them, "so, now that we have some time to relax and talk, we can finally discuss the relationship between Hua Ying and Lan Wangji," Xie Lian said.

"I am guessing this interest in each other did not just happen on a whim?" Lan Qiren stated, "and there is more to Hua Ying then I originally expected."

"That is correct," Xie Lian said, "Hua Ying is my son along with Hua Cheng's. I have the ability to conceive so Hua Ying is biologically ours. He is unique in that he is actually half god and half ghost. He was actually going to a heavenly tribulation as it is a way for gods to level up on there ranking. Hua Ying was not suppose to have lose his spiritual energy at all and somehow his trial got altered. Now that Hua Cheng and I have fixed it, Hua Ying is able to continue it...even though it is pretty much done."

"What does he have to do now that he has finished?" Wangji asked.

"He has to go through the holy thunder yet," Xie Lian answered, "it's a powerful lightning strike that when hit, it enhances a god's powers."

"Is that painful?" Wangji asked.

"Since A'Ying already took a bolt back at Koi Tower, he won't need to do it again. That should have already leveled him up," Xie Lian said.

"It did," Hua Ying said, "your welcome."

Wangji sighed, "why did I not get punished then?"

"You did nothing wrong to be punished," Hua Cheng said, "you were manipulated just like Hua Ying was. Now that Hua Ying's trial is over, you two can now continue to court each other and we can even begin to discuss wedding details if you want."

"If we marry, Lan Zhan has to go through a tribulation himself," Hua Ying said.

"That is true, but it will be different as he grew up in the mortal world already. His tribulation will just be the thunder. Though he gets struck three times instead of once," Xie Lian said, "he would have to go through that before you two can marry as he needs to get either appointed as a civil god or a martial god."

"Wouldn't he be a martial god?" Hua Ying asked.

"He would most likely yes, there is still a ten percent chance that he would be a civil god but his merits are good and he would pass for a martial god," Xie Lian said.

"When would it be done?" Lan Qiren asked.

Xie Lian grabbed Wangji's arm to check his vitals, "he can any time," he answered, "and as he is marrying into the family, you and Lan Xichen will have the opportunity to become gods as well. Xichen just has to finish out his sentence."

"Really?" Lan Qiren questioned, "why?"

"You are his family," Xie Lian said.

"The other sects will be furious if they ever found that out," Hua Ying pointed out.

"If they have a problem, they can come to me," Hua Cheng said with a grin on his face.

Hua Ying giggled, "A'Die, didn't Baba tell you not to go scaring the sects too much?"

"For now," Hua Cheng said.

"When would Wangji go through with this ascension?" Lan Qiren asked.

"Well, he is of legal age to marry so we can plan for him to ascend within a few weeks and then we can decide when they want to marry," Xie Lian said and looked at Hua Ying, "is marriage something you both want?"

"Yes," Hua Ying said.

"Mnn," Wangji replied with a nod.

"So we can plan for either having two ceremonies, one here in Gusu and another at the Heavenly Palace or we can just do one big ceremony at a select location," Xie Lian said, "which might be more preferable as the two can be seen in either location, Cloud Recesses or the Heavens, after they wed."

"One big ceremony might be preferable," Lan Qiren said, "we can choose a location that others would be okay with being at."

"Baba, why not the open field just across from Puqi Shrine?" Hua Ying asked, "it is a very big field and I'm sure the village nearby won't mind, especially if they are invited as they are good neighbors of Puqi Shrine."

"That would actually be a good place," Hua Cheng said, "most of the Heavenly officials know that place and most of the cultivators will be comfortable there as well. Plus with Puqi Shrine newly built and able to stand properly, we can use it as a place for the two to perform their bows."

"That would be fine," Lan Qiren said.

"Would...." Wangji began but stopped.

"What is it?" Hua Ying asked.

Wangji shook his head.

"You want to know if your brother could be there?" Xie Lian asked. Wangji looked at him and nodded. Xie Lian placed his hand on Wangji's shoulder, "we can see if he can be there. His abilities are sealed right now so he won't be able to do anything...that is if you want him to come."

"Would that be okay?"

"Lan Zhan, he is your brother, and he might have been the one to try to get us to separate but he didn't necessarily know who I really was. I am not mad at him about anything. If you want him there, he can be there," Hua Ying said.

"Thank you," Wangji said.

"Since it's a lot of planning, would you be okay with eight months from now as we would then have time to properly order your robes and prepare everything?" Xie Lian asked.

"I am okay with that," Hua Ying agreed.

"Okay, eight months from now," Lan Qiren had agreed.
