There is about a week left before Hua Ying and Lan Wangji marry. Lan Wangji was currently at a Puqi with Xie Lian when an anonymous person sent over a letter to them. It said that Wangji was needed at the entrance to Caiyi Town. Xie Lian felt a bit worried and decided to go with him to make sure this wasn't some sort of trap.

Hua Ying was currently at Caiyi town working on the new Shrine for Wangji. Lan Xichen has been doing everything he could to help him. As they were working on some things, a young man in black robes walked in. He had a mask over his eyes so it was hard to distinguish the person's identity.

"Hua Ying, it has been a long time," the man said.

"Ugh, do I know you?" Hua Ying asked.

"How could you forget about me? We spent a good amount of time together at Tonglu, you are quite insatiable," the man said.

"Hua Ying, what is he talking about?" Lan Xichen asked.

"I have no idea, if he met me, he would have died as only one person makes it out of Tonglu. I don't know who this i-"

"Maybe this will jog your memory," the man interrupted and grabbed Hua Ying by the face and kissed him on the lips. Hua Ying struggled to get the man off him, but Lan Xichen thought it was for other reasons. He was furious that Hua Ying would kiss another person when he was about to marry his brother. Lan Xichen has fallen for this stranger's tricks.

"Hua Ying!" Xichen yelled.

"Xiongzhang?" A voice came from behind him.

"Wangji, I am so sorry," Xichen said.

Hua Ying finally managed to push the man off of him, "who do you think you are!?" He asked.

"Hua Ying?" Wangji asked in tears.

"He kissed me, I don't even know who this person is," Hua Ying said and looked at his Baba, "please believe me."

Xie Lian didn't know what to think. He knows Hua Ying would never do something like this but what he just saw was hard to tell whether it was true or not, "I need more context."

"You don't believe me?" Hua Ying asked, "your own son? I would never cheat on Lan Zhan. I love him, why would I cheat?"

"Then why did you kiss him?!" Xichen asked furiously.

"He kissed me and I tried to get away from him!" Hua Ying argued.

"Hua Ying," Wangji said getting his attention.

Hua Ying looked and saw him handing the ring back to him, "I am giving this back to you. You clearly do not want me in your life," Wangji said.

Hua Ying began to cry and get angry, "I didn't do this! Why does no one believe me?" He yelled.

"I believe you," someone said behind them all. Hua Cheng was standing there and he was furious. He had Yin Yu subdue the person that was causing this mess, "remember, I have a butterfly with him at all times and I have a special one that allows me to see the environment around him. That man did kiss him unconsensually. I want to know why he was set up like this."

The room around them started to tremble, "it doesn't matter," Hua Ying said as tears streamed down his eyes, "Lan Zhan told me he was done with me. Even he didn't believe me. Baba didn't believe me. His own son!" Hua Ying's eyes started to turn crimson and black tendrils of resentment was oozing out of his pours.

"Hua Ying, it will be okay," Hua Cheng said.

"No it won't," He said, "all I want is to be happy and loved. But no one will love me. No one will listen to me. From now on, I am no longer anyone's Hua Ying!" Hua Ying took his ash ring and placed it on his own finger, "I am forever known as Sǐwáng Tiānshǐ (Angel of Death). Anyone who comes near me will die in an instant. I am done with everyone. This is what you all wanted anyway right? So congratulations, you succeeded."

Hua Ying soon disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Lan Wangji was at a loss for words. He should have known that this was all a misunderstanding. Why did he have to cloud his judgement? Why didn't he just listen? He really messed up this time and he doesn't know if he will ever get him back. Lan Wangji fell to his knees and wrapped his arms around himself before he started sobbing and screaming.

"Wangji?" Lan Xichen questioned.

Lan Wangji looked at him, "you set this up didn't you?" He asked furiously, "why?"

"I did not though," Lan Xichen said, "I am just as shocked and confused as everyone else."

"You were here during the whole incident though," Hua Cheng argued, "how do we know that you actually didn't? We know how much you dislike my son, especially with your little brother! Now Hua Ying is potentially going to be on a killing spree and the only way to stop him, is to potentially kill him. You must be so happy."

"San Lang, we will find him and try to talk to him," Xie Lian said.

"Gege, I love you but why didn't you just trust him?" Hua Cheng asked, "you know he would never hurt Wangji like that. Not after all they have been through."

"I am sorry," Xie Lian told him.

"Sorry isn't going to fix this, this time," Hua Cheng said, "I am afraid nothing will."

Lan Wangji disappeared from there and went to his palace in the Heavenly Kingdom. He just hung out in his room as he pondered what happened. His heart ached for what he did. He doesn't know what he will do. As he sat there, a rumble was heard within the sky. It was odd, this kind of thing doesn't happen in the heavenly kingdom. So what was happening?

"Hua Ying?" Wangji questioned and looked out the window. Off in the distance, dark clouds started to appear in the sky. A storm was coming and Wangji was not sure what was going to happen now. He had to find Hua Ying and try to talk about this. He was just worried that he will have to fight him. As a Martial God, if he is a threat, then it was Wangji's job to protect the people.
